Saw the premier of the new season of SAY YES TO THE DRESS. Love that show. I hope that they will start the Atlanta program too as they are both good. Now......on the other hand, during the marathon of last season's shows, I saw previews for the other gag-worth TLC offerings---none of which I watch. The "father" of SISTER WIVES had a perm so he has lovely blonde ringlets. The other shows are almost as bad.....so I cannot understand how SYTTD stays on that network.

I'm also a big fan of the show and of Randy! Thanks for your post! I agree that the previews to other shows are not something I'm interested in.

Did anyone else see the big wedding on SYTTD, where there was a bride from every state? They've been showing us a bit of it for awhile now, and I finally just got to see the wedding. Apparently Randy/crew only went to a few states and surprised some of the girls, because some states were barely seen at all. The featured ones got time on the regular episodes, choosing their dresses, and it looked like everyone else showed up on 1 or 2 days right before the wedding, for a crazy last-minute shopping at Kleinfelds day! They had to decide right then and there. There were lots of very touching stories, with the featured brides, but I really liked the one from New York, Loales. She came to the country young, then got put in the foster care system in NYC for awhile because her mom was sick. She was just so sweet, and genuine. Her fiancé was pretty cute too! I loved the dress she chose, but not at first -- I thought it was just too much and pretty ugly actually. Then she put it on and it really was awesome on her! At the store, she said she didn't want the sleeves, so they tucked them in, showed her family and they all loved it. Then at the wedding, she had sleeves! I wonder how that happened. LOL! They showed the girls coming down the steps out of order, which was weird, but saved NY for last on the show (though there was clearly someone behind her when it was recorded). She looked so happy, and much better than originally done so I'm glad they let them go back to hair and makeup for re-dos. Then her fiancé stood at the bottom of the steps chomping on gum! I would've been so annoyed! Buddy the cake boss did a great job on the huge cake! It was a towering beauty, with flowers from every state. But then they cut into it, and I only saw it for a moment, but it looked bright red, and white, and bright blue -- ugh. Garish colors, IMO. Having it at the fountain in Central Park looked like a beautiful place, too bad it was so stinkin' hot! Poor guy who passed out and missed the wedding. I didn't really care for all the screaming and whoo-hoos but I understand it; a mass wedding is less reverent than a traditional one. I wish we'd seen more of the non-featured brides (and less of the loud, screaming one from GA). Oh, another complaint I had was how hokey the bouquets looked, at least most of them! Arizona had a big old cactus or something like that! A few were just okay, but none were gorgeous and many were downright distracting. When they tossed their bouquets after the ceremony, I think I saw some girls really pitch them, like I would have! Gone! It was a cool idea to marry a couple from every state, and dress all the brides, but when we barely got to see a lot of their stories, why bother? Well, I guess for the bride getting the free dress and trip to NYC I guess it was worth it. They all seemed to love Randy and Hailey Page. At least it was a different take on their weekly episodes that just show the same kinds of things each time. I just love looking at the dresses. And I liked how they tried to represent different body styles, nationalities, and same sex couples. They had a pre-wedding reception too, where the couples came in state costumes, which was cute. Mew Mexico was their favorite with the aliens! ha! I liked the reminiscing episode, because it gave us more information on a lot of these scenes, though some was just a rehash. The couples did a 1 month update too. Hailey did a good job through it all, and seems very likeable.
