I figured it was time to start a thread for peanut butter, to discuss brands of peanut butter we like, peanut butter products, recipes, etc.
My peanut butter addiction is back on again so I've been having peanut butter sandwiches or toast with peanut butter pretty much every day. I recently had to get new jars of peanut butter for work and home because I ran out in both places!
My favorite brand is Jif but when I'm craving peanut butter, any brand will do. I've gotten peanut butter from the dollar tree before and liked it just fine. I'm not real wild about homemade or no sugar peanut butter. The taste and texture don't appeal to me.
For those who want to enjoy peanut butter flavor with less fat and calories, I highly recommend PB2 powder by Bell Plantation. You can mix it with water to reconstitute it into a peanut butter spread or just sprinkle the powder on your toast, in your hot chocolate, on your ice cream, wherever you want to use peanut butter!
This morning, I enjoyed chocolate chip waffles with peanut butter at work. I spread the peanut butter on the waffles like I would for toast. That way, I didn't have to bring my pancake syrup to work and it wasn't as messy as syrup would have been.

I like the Natural type of Jif and Skippy's. Same great taste but less sodium and sugar.

I like the Natural type of Jif and Skippy's. Same great taste but less sodium and sugar. We are fans as well. I like creamy better than chunky. My vegetarian son eats a lot of pb&j sandwiches or peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I buy a lot of peanut butter!

I love CHUNKY but rarely buy it!!! I ALWAYS buy SKIPPY regular PB!!! I tried TJ's ALMOND BUTTER both sweet and unsweetened but ugh I did not like either. I wish I did because I understand its much better for you then regular PB.

Jif creamy is the only peanut butter I buy. I've tried almond butter but don't like it. I don't eat a lot of peanut butter.

I use TJ's salted almond butter in smoothies and it's good for that. I wouldn't eat it by itself or on bread.
I've heard that sunflower seed butter is really good, but a dab will do you. It's quite...sunflowery, the taste knocks out everything else.

I only buy those Peanut Butters or Almond Butters that have no added ingredients. Just the nuts. My favorite is Kirkland Almond Butter from Costco. The only drawback is having to mix in the oil, but I found some nice tools to do this from R.N. Witmer.

Well I now know what I'm having for breakfast... toast with creamy peanut butter and sliced banana. My son loves the chunky pb but I prefer the creamy so we always have both on hand.

I used to make a peanut butter quick bread in our bread machine and my parents loved it! They'd have it toasted with jam on it. China First has an awesome peanut chicken on its buffet. It's not Kung Pow chicken with peanuts in it. It's breaded fried chicken in a peanut butter sauce. I've tried duplicating it at home but haven't had any luck yet. There was also an Asian restaurant I used to go to that had green beans with a soy and peanut butter sauce on it. It sounds weird but they were actually great together! I love finding new pairings for peanut butter.

Oh, I've done that before! Sundaes at home with a spoonful of peanut butter mixed in or chocolate milkshakes with peanut butter added.

We love Jif Natural chunky. The more peanuts, the better!
