James' kids are so adorable.
Not sure I like the dark hair on Emma.
I am impressed by James! He will go far. If he keeps this up, I suspect he will win.

West Coast goes BOOOOO! Live voting next week effecting eastern and central time zones only. Once again we have to vote blind based on this week's dances, but without seeing next week's dances.
I know who I liked this week, but will they fall down next week? I could read here and vote based on your comments, but (excuse me) I don't want to do that...I want first hand experience! And no, I won't go searching for a way to watch in those time zones. I refuse. Can you tell I'm upset and stubborn with it? Hmmm
If I can't vote, I may just tape it and watch it over breakfast the next morning. BOOOOO!

I missed Hannah and Alan, I guess I have to wait until tomorrow to watch that one. I’m not surprised that her scores are on the top of the board, she has Alan! Her dance is up on YouTube if you want to see it sooner. ☺️

It's so unfair to leave out the entire West half of the country--two whole time zones. GRRR!!!

I had a good laugh to see Bobby Bones there. His popularity due to the radio show totally messed up their voting?
So they pick their contestants based on the fact that the majority are cannon fodder and just a small percentage should win. So if somebody comes out of the lesser pack and moves up, they have to take a year off to figure out how to prevent it from happening again.
I am curious to hear about the new voting procedure next week...something like the judges' points will count for 90% of the score and America's vote 10%?????

The exact thing Tom warned ABC about has already occurred. Get a load of this story Huckabee and Spicer Even more glad now that I switched to another channel before he stepped out on the floor.

I don' t think that a campaign like this would have been as likely if there had not been such an outcry over him being cast. It's kind of a chicken or the egg sort of thing - but setting a tone of "how dare he come on this show" brings a natural response of "piss people off by voting for him".

Nah, I think it is the whole hashtag crap this is dissolving into: Hollywood vs The Lord.
Using a phrase I learned here years ago, cray cray!

Meh,DWTS loves to be talked about.I doubt this will do anything for Spicer, who enjoyed himself, even if he looked like a dancing lettuce. Next week will be a better week, but it's already settled into top, middle and bottom dancers imho.

Forget politics -- any Christian who hears this should be angry. To presume that Christ takes sides in a dance contest and that somehow putting a few extra week's pay in Spicer's pocket is some kind of firing shot in a holy war? That's blasphemous, and he's grifting off people's faiths. And if people want to stand by him just to "piss off people" -- especially to use one's vote for that purpose -- well that's kind of sick. End rant.

Since they continue to keep the 3 judges, I guess we have to take them with a grain off salt....Bruno and his glittery jackets, CA being a flake ( although I don't see that in her AT ALL when she does THE TALK so I wonder why we see it on DWTS. ) The constipated look on Len's face, however, when he sees something he does not like continues to piss me off. For heaven's sake, it was the first show and his overt disgust was pretty hard to take.

I'm thankful they are going back to more recognizable steps from the dances.
I do not like where I think they are headed with a judges' save. Ever since Sabrina(?) got booted "too early" they've wanted this. Even despite Bobby winning last year, I still don't want a judges' save. Sabrina wasn't that well liked. That's why no one was voting for her. That's been true for some really good dancers that didn't connect with the audience. This has never been a real dance competition. If it were, I wouldn't watch.
I do think they need to change things though because while there have been dancers kept a long time (Ty Murray) they didn't win.
I think a big problem is how they do the eliminations now. There used to be an elimination show on Tuesdays. I don't think they'll go back to a Tues show, but maybe it would help. But, go back to the half-hour results show. An hour was way too long with too much filler. Didnt they also have more than one double elimination. That cannot help.
I really will hate if they go with only the east and central time zones voting.
There were several people who were pretty good and should get even better. I'm looking forward to see them progress.
I'm glad the show is back, but I think it's good it's been a year. There was getting to be a little over saturation. I hated the athletes quick season and how quickly that went.

Lots of low judges scores this first week but I know they will get better.
