Ugh, Tyler is now making (and selling) T-shirts with the phrase "Not even for dinner with the Kushners?" So not only did he try to humiliate this woman on TV for her in-laws he's now making money from it. I knew that apology was only lip service.
What is his deal? He was rude to her and now he's going to double-down on it? It's not like she was the only judge who didn't like his stuff; none of them did. His remark was in response to what Brandon was saying. It's like he has no sense, unless he subscribes to the notion that any publicity is good publicity. He's trying to extend his 15 minutes of fame. I think he's burning some bridges that he should not be burning. If I were in the industry, I would not want to work with him after that. Nor as a consumer will I buy any of his (less- than stellar) designs. Hasn't he gotten the memo that kindness matters? Exactly. The organization that he's claiming half the cost of the t-shirts is going to is a good one, so I'm going to cut out the middle man and donate to them directly.

No, but she's the only one who's well known outsde of this show. And she's vulnerable. (Can you imagine Tyler spouting off to Elaine like that?) The more this unfolds, the more I wonder if he deliberately targeted, and planned to target, Karly. How creepy and disgusting.

I think that selling the t-shirts shows just how lacking in self-awareness Tyler is - which was his downfall. He wants to deal with the world as he wants it to be - not as it actually is. He heard the challenge, decided he'd rather design for Karlie in a different situation so he did - and was surprised that everyone didn't accept that. He decided he was a great designer so he stuck with it, and didn't adjust to the multiple critiques that the judges and Christian gave him trying to get him to adjust. So now he thinks he's a huge star because he got attention for a rude comment. He probably won't succeed, and he'll have no idea why.
