It's Like a Survivor Economy - One castaway is out for blood after realizing an ally was sent to the Edge of Extinction; another castaway must find a way to recover after letting information slip.
Enjoy the show!

These idols are looking mighty easy to find! Rob's reeling after figuring that they probably voted Amber off, but is incorrectly assessing his friendship with Sandra. He thought perhaps Sandra bequeathed the fire token coin to him, since they're friends and spent all that time together recently. Little does he know she's ticked at him!!

Tony's ladder is giving me a Gilligan's Island feeling.
And he's no Professor.

I'm glad Danni was voted off, and after tonight's episode it's sure hard to believe she ever won this game.

Danni deserved to go. She showed some extremely poor game play.

That episode went so quickly! I love all their strategizing and maneuvering, even though the idols and buying of advantages always takes away from the game (for me). This is such a fun season so far. And I loved it when Adam couldn't find the hole! Ben is such a loose cannon, kind of wacko. He was funny when he busted Danni with the old school/new school thing, though. And now the old school side doesn't have the power anymore, so they better do something quick. Did anyone think that Rob intentionally threw that puzzle challenge? There's some talk of that online elsewhere.

Did anyone think that Rob intentionally threw that puzzle challenge? There's some talk of that online elsewhere. What would have been the advantage to him in doing that? It doesn't seem logical to me. I have no doubt Rob would throw a challenge if he thought there was something to be gained. But this time? I suspect it was more a case of Rob being upset about Amber.

Danni , loose lips sink ships, even ones full of filler.. I'm worried for Ethan, doesn't look well.

FannyMareDanni just couldn't keep her mouth shut and proved she was a liability. I don't see where the "old school" players had any choice but to vote her off. I guess the newer players figured she was as good a choice as anyone else. I love how Denise hid her idol when they were dumping out their bags. I can't believe Rob convinced them to do that! I don't think Rob screwed up the challenge on purpose. He's generally more competitive than that, and I don't think there is any advantage to him doing that. He seemed antsy when he was waiting on the rest of his teammates to get the pieces to him. If he were planning on throwing it, he wouldn't be anxious for them to get the pieces to him.

I agree with everyone about Danni! What was she thinking? I guess she wasn't thinking--or not clearly enough!

Given how much of a beast Rob is in challenges I'm surprised he was tasked with doing the puzzle and not pushing the heavy cart. I'm also wondering if now that Amber is on EOE if that will be a deterrent on whether or not they vote out Rob because then they will be there together to strategize. Some might think that is not a good thing.

Pisses me off when arrogant players like Rob think it's his birthright to win again.
Too bad for Danni the "ladder" held up. Could have turned into a medivac evacuation in which case she would have survived another 3 days.

Sometimes all it takes to get a consensus is a vague reason to target someone.

Which is precisely why they need to vote him off but no one except potentially Jeremy understands that.

Ethan was so funny when he told Rob: You sucked today bro lol. I think Rob was distracted during the challenge because he was hurt about Amber being voted out of the game.
Danni being voted out of the game right after Amber, just goes to show that our old school players are really struggling to keep up with the pace of this new era of Survivor. The game has changed so much and she really dug her own grave she was just all over the place. Rob having everyone dump out their bags at tribal was a bit much for me. It's almost like he wants the Sele tribe to be a dictatorship rather than a democracy, so I was glad that Adam was smart enough to empty his bag but still stand up to Boston Rob. Denise and Kim finding those idols was very refreshing to see. Denise did a great job at hiding her idol while still emptying her bag. I hope Sophie gives Kim a chance, I would love to see those two work together! Its kinda crazy watching Sophie run circles around Kim Spardlin. I think Sophie is in a great position and I was really sleeping on her before this season.
The Dakal tribe might be my favorite tribe in the history of Survivor they are just so much fun to watch. I am glad Tony didnt hurt himself climbing up that unstable ladder, but Its nice to see him have fun and realize he has to keep himself occupied so that he doesnt go on those crazy idol hunts and spy shacks. It looks like Tyson vs Sandra next week. I'm curious to see how that would play out if Dakal goes to tribal next.

From what has been said on a few Survivor podcasts and I’ll try to find an article, if it’s been linked to one, Jeremy has up until when 10 people are left to use the advantage.

Of course. I had Dani at the top of my pool. I really thought she was going to slide under the radar and then play at the end and win. As for her winning her season IIRC she had a really great tribal council. Did really well under the pressure of ?s, coming across as humble yet confident. Also, iirc, Rob has thrown a challenge or 2 before if it suited his game plan. But I do agree that he did not appear to be throwing this one nor any advantage for him to do so. I, too, love that Denise hid her idol so well. I barely remember her but now am rooting for her.

I missed last week & will most likely miss next week, but 2/19's show was great. Starting 3/4 I'll be watching every week. The misses were unavoidable. So far, I love everything about this season. The cast is fantastic. I love seeing the original pros vs the newer winners. My favorites are the originals.
I especially love the fact that there really is a cross section of contestants this time. Young, old, and every age in between. Knowledge of the game from every possible incarnation of it, and every possible strategy. Most of all....NO Hookup Survivor!!! These folks are here to play the game! Just like in the good old days. I haven't watched much in the past few years because I just got sick of models/actors/pretty boys/hot girls, all looking for who to hook up with. Granted, Boston Rob met Amber on Survivor, but that boy could play the game, & play hard, and that was his primary agenda.
One of the reason I prefer the earlier contestants is that they seem able to laugh at the whole thing. They've seen enough of life that they know what to take seriously & what not to. Even the newer winners are playing hard this time. They all know that there's no room for error this time. Danni proved this.
I also liked how even after totally blowing the puzzle, and by that putting a huge target on his own back, Boston Rob managed to totally escape that focus & put it squarely on Danni's back. Very smart playing. Yeah, this is Survivor the way I like it played.

I am amazed how well Natalie is doing on Edge of Extinction and how she is figuring out the clues I wish Amber could figure it out. It is almost pitiful to watch Amber and Danni not get it and miss the clues.
