I Like Revenge - Castaways are on the edge of breaking down when faced with a grueling opportunity at the Edge of Extinction. Also, Survivor veterans begin to target each other.
Enjoy the show!

Great show so far tonight. They're really pulling at the emotions, that's for sure. First, on EoE, they had to go up the stairs of a steep mountain and bring down one log (of 20) at a time, before sundown. It looked grueling! Poor Ethan got light headed and woozy, looked like he was going to pass out, so they brought in medical. He only had four logs left to get. Natalie, on the other hand, was a machine, not stopping! We saw her and Amber break down after they finally finished. Ethan recovered well enough to keep going, and on his last trip up the mountain, the girls followed him to support him. Even though they were likely super tired themselves, they went along with him, and it was one of the most touching moments I can remember in a long time on this show! Then, back in the game, Adam was trying to make amends after betraying both sides and being exposed for the snake he was last week. It was funny to see him try to do all the chores and suck up to everyone. Then in the challenge, they were getting blown out, and Adam couldn't jump high enough to get the key. But neither could the other two on his team who were designated as jumpers, so he kept trying. He finally, finally got the key, and then his team actually caught up, and won! It was very exciting! Now they're scrambling on Sandra's team to figure out who to keep and who to vote off, who's the bigger target/meat shield?

It was an interesting tribal council. I'm still trying to decide who (if anyone) got blindsided by the votes for Tyson. Sarah looked like she didn't know it was going down that way, but either Tony or Sandra had to have voted for him. My guess is it was Sandra who did. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt her. I thought Tony made a good point about keeping Tyson as a shield.

I thought Tony made a good point about keeping Tyson as a shield. Nick was left in the dark, and it makes sense - if Nick thinks he's going home, Tyson is less likely to suspect something's up. I guess Tony decided not to cause trouble. Whatever problems he has now, they'd only be worse if he cast a meaningless vote at Nick. Poor Adam; you know you've messed up when Ben of all people is saying you your strategy is terrible.

Ethan, what a lovely guy. His finishing the task and the girls walking with him for the last log made me tear up..
Bye Tyson, and yes, you should of known, them saying yes, to voting out Nick, that was all far too easy.

That task on Exile was more than just brutal - it was sadistic. I was afraid Ethan was gonna have to exit the game. Glad he didn’t. The girls all doing his final trip with him was the most touching thing I’ve seen in 40 seasons of Survivor.

The thought of making 20 trips up and down a hill carrying firewood for one fire token left me out of breath and gasping for air. There is just no way I would have made it. While I do appreciate the effort they made and applaud them for it, that scene just took up way too much time, I wish they shortened it a bit. I am very glad that Ethan is ok though, seeing him voted out was hard enough so it would have been devastating if he was a med evact.
I thought Boston Rob made a great move by telling Jeremy and Michelle that Adam was trying to make deals with him, even though it wasnt true, it solidified the doubt they already had in Adam and brought them closer to Rob and Parvati, that was well done! I am so glad Sele won Immunity because that tribe really needed a break! I have never been a big fan of Tyson, but I did enjoy watching him this season. As a viewer I was really hoping that Nick was voted out because he just hasn't been very interesting and I keep forgetting he is on the season. Tyson had some valid points about keeping him as a shield and how no one is really thinking about Nick Wendell Sophie and Yul. I actually think it made perfect sense what his pitch was and for a second I thought it was going to work.
I think Sandra's concern was that Tyson brought up her name and he just couldnt be trusted. By taking out Tyson here it also takes away another ally from Boston Rob. So I get where she was coming from here as well but man it would have been nice to see Nick go. Thank goodness a tribe swap is next week, its definitely time for a change. I am shocked it took this long. Tyson certainly could have benefited from a swap this episode.
(Sidenote) The previews show Michele saying how could she get stuck on a tribe with her ex boyfriend. I know her and Wendell dated before, so that means those two will end up on the a new swapped tribe together. With 15 people left I assume it will be 3 tribes of 5. Plus we now have 5 people on EOE so it will feel like 4 tribes of 5. Bring on the tribe swap!

I get that they wanted to make that EoE challenge difficult, but that seemed unnecessarily cruel.

They didn't have to do it, but you can't get back in the game unless you have the most fire tokens. Natalie is a challenge beast!!

I get that they wanted to make that EoE challenge difficult, but that seemed unnecessarily cruel. I agree, but given this game and we have ALL winners there wasn't a chance in hell anyone was going to bow out of it. Ethan most of all, that man is simply a fighter from word go. I would have been crushed if he left the game.
I too found it sweet how they all went with him that last trip, even Natalie (who I am not at all a fan of).

...but you can't get back in the game unless you have the most fire tokens... I didnt realize that. I wonder how the later survivors voted off to exile island will be able to catch up on fire tokens. I can't imagine any challenge being as grueling as the firewood trek.

I was disappointed in them ousting Tyson. It seems that the more seasoned players are shooting themselves in the foot, on both tribes. Even if they don't trust someone, they are dwindling their own numbers & strength. The longer time before the merge, and even after, the bigger target they are painting on their own backs. Rob/Parvati were already on borrowed time, and if they lost this challenge one of them was no doubt going home. Nomatter how the swap goes, they are all still fighting a hard & losing battle. I would think these players would see that & be working much harder to ingratiate themselves with the newer winners.
I'm interested to see how the swap shakes out & whether the dynamic has any chance of shifting.

I could see Ethan being a contender for some of Sia's money at the end of the season. Why, because he collapsed. Why not the women, they were sensible and didn't go fast and didn't collapse but poor Ethan gets all the sympathy. He was an idiot for going too fast and he paid the price. The woman do the same hard work and get no recognition but poor little male Ethan gets drooled over because he was a man and collapsed and managed to get back up and finish and for this he should be awarded? He got his fire token just like everyone else.

I can't imagine any challenge being as grueling as the firewood trek. The show actually hasn’t said the amount of Fire tokens is what gets someone back in the game from the Edge if Extinction. I think they might be able to use tokens to obtain an a advantage for the challenge to get back in. That would be my speculation.

It’s way too early in the season to determine the Sia money but if Natalie doesn’t win the two million, she’d be my Sia money choice if the finale was tomorrow. She’s playing the best game at the moment.
