Thanks for the info about the ice cream. I am going to bite the dust and go tomorrow to TJ. I have to pick a part up for a car so I am going to make that a part of my day out. It still means a trek across town to get there. I'd still check on the ice cream. You never know. You might luck out. I'm going to check. I was watching a cooking show the other day and they made homemade Stroopfel waffles and then added the ice cream. Looked good.

If they don't have the ice cream, they might have bags of the strupfel waffles up above the freezer. One of the staff showed them to me after I asked about the ice cream sandwiches.

In case you want to make them like the originals, they were filled with Salted Caramel ice cream. So yummy!

My TJ's was out of the stroopwafel ice cream sandwiches, so I didn't get to try them. That being said, I don't quite get how they would work. Stroopwafels are best when they're eaten warm. You put them over the top of your cup of coffee or tea so that the caramel inside melts. They're not as flavorful when they're room temp, so I don't know if they'd be very good cold. I'll probably just be sticking with my chocolate caramel stroopwafels with a cup of tea! (https://www.stroopwafels.com/us/product/daelmans-chocolate-hexa/)

The frozen Vegetable Panang Curry is pretty darned good! I'm lucky to live maybe 3 minute from an excellent Thai restaurant, but this red curry is an okay substitute. Not great, but good. Certainly cheaper than eating out! I found it near the Indian food. It really is. Unfortunately I can't have it anymore; at 85g of carbs a serving it's not even a "some time" meal.

They didn't have any of the ice cream. I love that store. I found quite a few things I thought I couldn't live without.

Went to TJs tonight to get provisions ahead of this snowstorm that's supposed to hit us tonight. The Jalapeno lime almond dip was back in stock so I got it to finally try. I also have heard good things about the Jacques French Liquid Orange Blossom Honey Hand and Body Soap so I picked that up as well.

If you haven't tried the pancake loaf yet, you are missing out!! It is FANTASTIC. If I had to label it, it would be closest to a giant muffin-like loaf that is some what coffee cake-ish, but not really pancake but with a hint of something maple.
Also, I just found out there's an "Inside Trader Joe's" podcast. There aren't many episodes, so I have heard them all. It made me love them even more than I already do...and it had great suggestions for what to try, so have paper handy!

The Jalapeno Lime Almond Dip...has a somewhat grainy consistency that is very off-putting. Pity; I really wanted to like this.

I saw on Instagram that TJ's latest scented candle is Lemon Cookie. With all of this bitter cold, it would be heavenly to burn something that smells like a summer day!

I bought some TJ's chicken fried rice the other day. I cooked some tonight and that stuff is wonderful. It said to put oil in the pan but I just sprayed it with Pam and it cooked just fine. That will be something I keep on my list to buy there.

I called my local TJs last night to find out about the Lemon Cookie candle and found out that they haven't had deliveries in a few days due to the deep freeze and were out of a lot of things. However, they're expecting deliveries Friday and Saturday. Hopefully the candles will come.

Went to TJ today and lo and behold, the lemon cookie candles were there! This candle simply smells delicious; it's another one that will make you hungry smelling it burn.

Went to TJ's today and they had samples of Tuscano cheese with black pepper. That stuff is heavenly. Probably the best cheese I have ever tasted. I could have ate the whole wedge I bought in one setting, I didn't.

Quick question for those who also buy Yankee candles; do the Honeycrisp Apple Cider candles smell like the Trader Joe ones? Also, can you smell them really good as they are burning?

Interesting enough, when I went to TJ yesterday there were still a lot of Lemon Cookie candles left to buy. As it burns down to a heavy vanilla scent with a hint of lemon I can see why it's not as popular.

Went to TJs and picked up two bags of their Mexican Style Roasted Corn with Cotija Cheese. It's an awesome side dish. They give you a packet of the cheese on the side to put on the corn after you finish cooking it. I think it will go good with my baked fish!

This roasted corn is also great when added with black beans (or pinto, etc), chicken, rice, cut up avocados, tomatoes or whatever you like in a burrito type bowl recipe. There is also another roasted corn without the sauce and cheese packet that is a great staple to have in the freezer. I try to keep both on hand because they're so useful and delicious!

I went to my local TJs yesterday and bought their Brooklyn Chocolate Babka from the bakery section. Oh my gosh it’s sooooo good. I highly recommend it when looking for a treat.

I tried the rice cauliflower bowl tonight and it was really good! It has marinated chickpeas, tahini and tofu. I added some steamed broccoli for some more veg. Definitely would buy it again When I wasa at Tj's this morning, there was a woman near me in the frozen food aisle who grabbed like 6 or 7 boxes of the same thing. I joked, "So, THAT'S the best thing here, right?" She laughed and said, they totally are. I told her I should probably get some too. They're the chicken soup dumplings, which she said were amazing. Haven't tried them yet, but I'll report back!

That cauliflower bowl sounds really good; I'll have to try it!
The next candle fragrance is supposed to be Mango, and I think it's supposed to be out at some point next month.
