We’ve become big fans of TJ’s mini gingerbread cookies. They come in a green box with red trim. They’re nice and crunchy with a thin layer of frosting on one side. I’m not a big ginger fan but these cookies are fantastic! Of course they’re only around during the holidays.

Trader Joe's introduced a Cat Advent Calendar this year. Might still be available (and I don't think your cat will care if it's out-of-date).

After trying two of the three candles in the gift tin, here is my opinion:
Cranberry Pine: This smelled a lot better than I expected! The two scents (cranberry and pine) marry together, making a third scent that is extremely pleasing. They hit a home run with this.
Fresh Currant: I'm afraid I'm not a fan. I always thought currants were like little berries but this is more of a very heavy floral scent, almost like rose. I'm not a fan of most florals, so this one goes on the "gift it to a friend if they have this next year" candle.

I just found out today that the city next to me is getting a TJ's 15 miles compared to 30+ miles. I am beyond excited.

Yay, Nennie! Now you can get all of the goodies and don't have to travel so far!
Went to TJ the other day and completely passed on the Lemon Sugar Cookie candles. I got those last year and they smelled overwhelmingly of vanilla with a hint of lemon. Not my favorite.

A friend stopped by yesterday with a box of TJ glazed sour cream doughnuts. They were so moist and delicious. I say "were" because they are of course long gone.

For me it's 300 miles, so I only get to go when going there on vacation, and even then, the fresh or frozen stuff is off limits. We don't have one anywhere in the state. If we did, I'd be willing to drive there with a cooler on a monthly basis.

The founder of Trader Joes passed away a couple of days ago. I bought some 3 buck chuck and will have a toast in his honor tonight.

I just made a trip to TJ's. I love that store. They had these cookies that are seasonal and they are like 2.99 for 6. The lady had checked the price and I asked her how much, they were at the register and she told so I said I'll try a box and she gave them to me for free. Nice treat. They have this bagged popcorn in that is called synergistically seasoned and it is real good. I haven't seen it before. I always buy my husband their bags of kettle corn. HE really like them. I always buy their tuscano peppered cheese. I have to limit myself because I could spend a fortune in there. As always I stocked up on butter.

Trips to TJ's are one of the main things I miss right now, but I'm too lazy to get up and go during the senior hours. ☺️
Maybe you'll inspire me to make the effort.

I can't even remember the last time I was in a Trader Joe's. January or February, maybe. I love them, but since I don't have to go out to get my groceries, I'm staying home.
Looking forward to some chicken soup dumplings and a Tarte D'Alsace once this is all over.

I've been a couple of times since this started. The last time I went then had someone sanitizing all the carts and they would only allow a certain amount of people in the store at a time. When people left they would let more people inside. People have kinda stopped the hoarding so the store was well stocked.

When I went to give the mask to the young woman who worked there, it seemed like they had a pretty good system in place. (I never had to go in the store, because she was nice enough to take my card and go in to buy TP for me. ☺️)

They weren't limiting the amount of people in our TJ's. People were practicing social distancing as much as possible. They had every other register closed.

We went to TJs yesterday and picked up a lot of things, including the Ube Mochi Pancake and Waffle mix. If you have a chance to get it do so; it's divine!

I hadn't heard of that before, so I googled it and was excited to see that it's gluten-free! Woo-Hoo! I'll have to give it a try when I get a chance.

OK, I bought that Watermelon Overnight Mask and you get your money's worth for 6.99. I've kept it on all night and woke up to softer skin and smaller pores. In my opinion it works a lot better than the Glow Recipe at Sephora because it absorbs into the skin well and Glow Recipe has a tendency to sit on the skin and be sticky.

I'm not sure if they even carry it anymore, since I haven't been to a TJ's in nearly six months *SOB*, but the ginger pear white tea makes excellent iced tea. I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets this week and, after tossing out a bunch of stuff, I organized my teas a bit more (they're still in four different places, but they're a more consolidated) and I found a box of the ginger pear tea. Still good because the bags are sealed in plastic. I'm trying to use up the teas that I have small amounts of, so I can make more space in the cabinets, but now I wish I had more of that tea!

All of the ginger pear tea is gone, so I've moved on to TJ's pomegranate white tea for my iced tea. Also excellent I do a combination of teas - half Typhoo decaf and then half of whatever else to give it some flavor. Since I'm trying to watch my caffeine, the white teas are perfect. I found $100 worth of TJ's gift cards in my wallet, so the next time I need groceries, I'm going to venture out of my bubble and go to TJ's. Hopefully, everyone will be wearing their masks and no one will throw a giant hissy fit like that nitwit in SoCal the other day!

If your TJ's is at all like mine, most people will be wearing masks, and those who don't (which are few) are still good about physical distancing. I love going to my local TJ's for that very reason. Between that and the little neighborhood store I've started frequenting, I'm mostly around mask-wearing people when I shop, which is a rarity here in Utah. I went to a nursery today to get some more starts for my garden, and I was pleased to see that almost everyone was wearing a mask. What a nice surprise!

I went to a nursery today to get some more starts for my garden, and I was pleased to see that almost everyone was wearing a mask. What a nice surprise! They're both really good! My acid reflux tends to flare up if I have too much caffeine and, since it's super hot right now, and I drink a lot of iced tea, I try to stick to teas with as little caffeine as possible. The white teas make the tea nice and light, but they've still got a nice flavor. I do add one more tea bag than I do with green or black teas (5 instead of 4) since the white teas are generally a little milder.
I'm not super worried about going to TJ's, specifically. Frankly, I'd rather go there every day that step foot in a WalMart even once....although that's how I feel when we're not in the middle of a pandemic too! My mom has been to both CostCo and TJ's and said she felt super safe at both - as if the stores really cared about the safety of their customers AND employees.
I have to say, I've really been craving TJ's chicken soup dumplings! I just know that I'll go crazy and fill my cart since I haven't been there in months. My new fridge is pretty small, so I have to wait until I actually have space before I go to TJ's and stock up!

I think you'll be okay. Trader Joes has been really good about distancing, limiting people in the store, and masks. All the Trader Joes in my city require masks to enter and they have security guards enforcing it; no mask, no entry. That nitwit in California just wanted her viral fame because she wore a mask to get past security and just waited in the store for someone to say something to her to create a scene.

Our TJ's doesn't have the chicken soup dumplings. I am wanting to try them. They did have shrimp patties and they are really good and only 90 calories a patty. I cooked mine in my air fryer.

They FINALLY got the Summer Candle Trio at TJs! I can't wait to light it tonight!
A "definitely will buy again" item is the Strawberry Oat Milk Ice Cream. It also has flecks of strawberry and almond brittle in it and is sooooo good! A must for non-dairy peeps.

Lit the Strawberry Basil candle in the set and it's very...subtle? The basil goes really well with the strawberry and stops the scent from being "sweet."

I just recently realized that my yearly trip to Trader Joe's isn't going to happen this year. No vacation this Summer. Driving 300 miles each way just for Trader Joe's is a bit much. I only go there when on my Summer Vacation. No Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate. I'm down to about 1/3 of my last bottle. No Tea Tree Tingle Body Wash, Shampoo, or Conditioner. No Dried Mandarin Slices. No Green Tea Mints in the little tins. No pasta made out of anything & everything but pasta. And these are just the regulars I stock up on. I always find lots of shelf stable stuff I either can't get or don't notice anywhere else. This evil virus is disrupting things we don't even think about but just take for granted.
