Does anyone have a favorite K cup coffee they prefer?

My favorite topic! I am a coffee fanatic. I really love dark blends. My favorite K-cup is Dark Magic. Yum!

I don't have a Keurig but my favorite coffee is the Eight O'clock Brand. I also prefer Dunkin Donuts coffee to Starbucks, which I do NOT like.

I love Dunkin Donuts brand coffee. Ive never been a Starbucks fan. It's too strong for my taste. I have a Keurig machine, but I think the old fashioned electric percolator makes the best coffee.

Yes, I agree, angelic. Do you remember the old Corning brand electric percolator? Mine was the Cornflower blue pattern. I still have it up in my mountain home; it still makes the best cup of coffee.

Yes!! I do remember that one, ECM. Mine is the Farberware percolator, and it makes the richest, hottest coffee.

I agree, I prefer DD over Starbucks.
My favorite home brand is Cafe Bustello. If anyone watches Luke Cage - the brand is featured prominently.

Now we're talking my kind of topic. I used to have a Corning Percolator exactly like the one in the picture. It was the best coffee maker I've ever had. I've tried many since, whatever seemed to be the new thing, but none ever made coffee as good as the Corning. Right now I make my coffee in my Keurig. Someone brought me back some Hawaiian coffee from Hawaii. I put it in my reusable K-Pod. It was really great, but I can't get it here. I suppose I could order it online somewhere, but I've never bothered. My favorite K-Cup flavor is Jamaica Me Crazy by Wolfgang Puck. There's another one out there that's not nearly as good, but the Wolfgang Puck one is great. Green Mountain makes a Christmas Flavor Variety Pack that's really great for around that time of year. Newman's Own makes a great plain coffee pod. No fancy flavors. Just good coffee. I love lattes from Starbucks, Florence Coffee, and City Brew around here. Thomas Hammer makes a good one in Washington. McDonalds actually makes a good latte, and it's only $2.00. Their Pumpkin Spice is great.

Forgot to add: Trader Joe's Cold Brewed Coffee Concentrate is fantastic, especially in smoothies.

I love the smell, but I can't drink it because of the acid. I tried a low acid ground which didn't act low acid at all. Wish I could enjoy...now because of potassium levels I am banned from both coffee and tea. **sigh**

I've wanted to get a Keurig just for the convenience and the variety of coffees available. However, I'm not impressed by the taste of their coffees. They taste too weak to me. At work, I get instant espresso powder (either Cafe Bustelo or Tasters Choice) and dress it up with hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, cappuccino mix, or flavoring syrups, depending on what I'm in the mood for at the moment. I'd still like to get a cappuccino machine sometimes but because the cost of a good machine is prohibitive and there's a lot of maintenance involved, I keep deciding that I would rather go out for a good cup of coffee. I'm still looking for a good place to go because right now I mostly go to Starbucks for the convenience.
There's a local place I used to go to called Bada Bean and when they were good, they were way better than Starbucks. Unfortunately, they have a high turnover rate for their employees so it got where every time I went they were training some new kid and the quality of the coffee drinks varied greatly. I finally stopped going when one of the kids got black plastic chips in my frozen cappuccino drink from the mixing blade. They had a plastic tamper they used to push the ice down on the blade and apparently he got too close to the blade and shredded the tamper.

To make some k cups stronger flavored, sometimes I find if you adjust the cup size to medium instead of the largest setting, it helps.

I used to think coffee was nasty until I was in my mid-30's or so. I don't know what happened then, but now I love it and must have two cups of coffee in the morning. Nothing smells better than fresh brewed coffee first thing after you wake up (except maybe bacon, but I try not to eat much of that ). Don't do K-cups, we make a huge pot every morning in an old Mr. Coffee. Usually Folgers, 8 O'Clock, New England Chocolate Cappuccino (so good), or Dunkin Donuts brand. I can't drink it black, but use a tiny bit of cream and sugar. And for some reason I hate iced coffee....

I tried coffee once as a child and once as an adult. I took one sip each time. I didn’t like the taste. I never tried it again. I tried coffee once. My great aunt (who lived to be 103) had me try coffee on my Confirmation day. I took one sip for her. I've never liked the smell. I certainly did not like the taste. And the chance of me ever changing my mind about any of this is firmly at zero percent.

I didn't like coffee until later in life, too. I used to hate anything coffee flavored, like the hard candy that unfortunately looked too much like the root beer barrels I did like. I couldn't stand the smell of coffee, either.
When I was interning at Disneyworld when I was 24, a co-worker offered me some chocolate-covered espresso beans. I expected not to like them since I didn't like coffee but I loved them! It's like that event flipped the switch so then I was ok with coffee (with sugar and cream/creamer) or cappuccino. I didn't come to really love coffee until the last few years. Up until then, I would drink instant cappuccino but now I drink the instant coffee and usually have at least one cup per day. I try not to overdo it because I have ringing in the ears and the caffeine makes it worse. I don't want to switch to decaf.

Making a smaller cup does help, but I feel I'm wasting perfectly good coffee that way. The best way for me is to look at the box & choose a Medium to Bold one. The Newman's Own one I mentioned is a Medium one. When I want a cup of plain, nonflavored coffee, I choose that one. It's just plain coffee the way it's supposed to taste. It tastes like a cup of Folgers from a percolator. Also, if you have one of those reusable K-Pods you fill yourself, you can make sure to put a bit more in there. The only problem with those is that you have to dump & clean your pod. That's part of the appeal of Keurig for me, no fuss, no muss, no cleanup. We've become a lazy society. That plastic in your coffee thing would be enough to keep me from going back too.

I love coffee. Love everything about it. Love the smell. Love the taste. Just wish I could find a decent coffee maker, one that's easliy cleaned and doesn't let coffee grounds get into my cup of coffee. Any suggestions for a good coffee maker?

I have a dripmaker besides my Keurig, JosephD. It's made by Black and Decker, and it's quick and never leaves grinds in my coffee. I also love the fact it's bpa-free. That, to me, is important. I love the smell of coffee, too. Nothing else like coffee's aroma.

My other problem with pod coffee makers is they don't make enough coffee for my liking. I'd probably have to make the carafe size pod because 4 to 6 ounces of coffee isn't a decent size cup for me.

His Keurig has 4 settings on it. 6, 8, 10 and 12oz.

I don't like hot coffee, but love iced coffee (and coffee icecream). I went to Starbucks every day for many years but now Starbucks is on my poop list so I'm going there much less often.
Now I buy the cold-brewed iced coffee at the grocery store and add Nestle Coffeemate Sugar Free Italian Sweet Crème. Yum!

I love a latte, otherwise coffee does nothing much for me. I love our Nespresso machine, with the milk frother for almond or soy milk, it tastes so good in the morning.

I love cappuccino but have to limit it because of the caffeine. We drink decaf at our house. I have mitral valve prolapse and my husband has aortic valve stenosis and caffeine messes up big time.

My first experience with coffee was in middle school when our swim team had a 24 hour swim fundraiser. We slept at the Y and swam in shifts. I put so much cream and sugar into it, I’m not sure it still qualified as coffee. 😄 I’ve evolved the way I have my coffee over the years. For a long time as a young mom, it was strong Colombian coffee with powdered vanilla creamer and Equal. I shudder to think of that now. Recently it was cinnamon and cardamom for flavor. Now I drink espresso ground made in a drip pot with a pat of butter whipped into it with a hand held frother. Mind you - I go to lap swim after, so that’s my fuel. 🏊♀️

OMG! Is butter coffee real, then? I watched the show Private Eye last night and she was nervous and put salt rather than sugar in her coffee. To cover when discovered, she said she used to put butter in her coffee.

Yes! It’s called bulletproof coffee. I learned about it on Dr. Oz. 😄 if you think about it, butter is made from cream...

I like this German brand of instant coffee called Jacobs. I used to get it from the international aisle of one of my local Marianos before they stopped stocking it and now I get it from Amazon. My partner likes stronger coffees, so a couple of Christmases ago I got him a Nepresso machine, and he buys the coffees for that.

My new favorite at Starbucks is the cordusio. It's mocha with extra espresso so it tastes like a rich, dark, hot chocolate and I love it! I get it with toffee syrup added for extra flavor.
I'm usually more of an iced or frozen coffee lover because I feel like the flavors are stronger when the coffee is cold but sometimes I do want it hot.
