Well, I finally got to watch it. That was a heart-wrenching goodbye between Charity and Joey, but I'm glad she ended up with Doton! That proposal was very sweet. I hope Joey can keep his head about him and be just as loveable as the bachelor as he has been as a suitor. I would be so sad if he turned into Pilot Pete.No one could be worse than Bob Guiney! On Trista's season, he was this funny, lovable goof and then, as soon as he was the Bach, he was sticking his tongue down AAAAALLLL the throats and bedding, what was the consensus, FOUR woman? Now, I like Bob as he is now, but back then? He was a pretty bad Bach. He let it all go to his head....and it was the wrong head

I guess my concern about DWTS being a negative thing for the relationship is misplaced. At Reality Steve’s website, several followers expressed that same concern, and he pointed out that Gabby’s the only Bachelorette who has broken up during DWTS. The rest have done just fine. It’s the guys who had problems.
Also, I read an interview where Doton said he can work from anywhere and plans to go out to LA to be with Charity while she’s on the show.

I think it's natural to be worried about them surviving DWTS. That's a lot of time that she'll be away from her new fiancee and dancing with another guy AND with all of the focus on her. I do think Dotun is the kind of guy who isn't that interested in being the star and is happy to step back and support Charity. I think Erich didn't have much going for him - Gabby was far too good for him - so seeing her gain even more popularity was probably a huge hit to his ego.
I hope that, after DWTS, Charity goes back to her career and they stay mostly out of the spotlight. Any time they start entertaining the idea of "other opportunities" and a move to California (I don't remember where she lived before), that's not a good sign.

Charity is the guest today on Hahah Brown’s Better Tomorrow podcast. (Link below.) I just watched, and she talked a little bit about their plans after DWTS. They don’t want to try to do long distance, so she’s probably going to move to Brooklyn to be with him. She doesn’t see that as their long term home but thinks it would be a fun place to live for a couple of years. Living in LA doesn’t appeal to either of them. It sounds like she’s not planning to go back to working full-time as a therapist, but she does want to find a way to use the platform the show has given her to advocate for mental health support for children with disabilities and their families. She’s just not sure yet what form that would take. It was an interesting interview. It’s about an hour long but worth the watch. They talked about Charity’s life before going on TV and about the realities of being the Bachelorette and a whole lot more, including the importance of healing from past relationship trauma in order to be ready to find the person you want to marry. Hannah was pretty funny. She admitted she hadn’t ”done the work” before being the lead “But it made for good TV.” It was interesting to have someone with the experience asking relevant questions in a way that only an insider can. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1q6LlO-hm4
