There are still even numbers with male/female and they have been paired up the past two weeks. I don't know if those pairings will hold for a third week.

Dang! Cole had his best night, tonight. I loved both their dances. I thought Magda might go home tonight.
I liked the opening number, and the girls group and men's group dances. They have a lot to learn. It should be an hour next week imho.
I really disliked both hip hop numbers tonight. I don't care for the choreographers.

I agree Fanny. Cole had the best night. I didn't think he did bad last week either. I'm disappointed b/c I like him better than Darious. Darious is a great dancer, but I just don't connect with him. I had an idea Magda would go. It is going to be hard to see any of them go home next week. Slavik is still wowing me. His dedication to learning and putting the work in is amazing. And boy, those eyes  |

Overall, I like the format this season, except for this part. Only having a top 10 and 2 eliminated each week, the cuts get real deep, real quick. It feels like we just started the live shows (because we did) and we're already down to 3 couples left. I don't feel like we're getting a chance to really get to know the dancers like we have in previous seasons.
Magda, I'm OK with her going. Of the 4 girls remaining, she's the one I forget all the time.
I'm sad for Cole. That Broadway routine was amazing. But again, I think we're just at that "someone has to be last" point.

So happy Cole got to dance some great choreography last night before his elimination. I’m really surprised he didn’t resonate more with the audience. I see opportunities inside/outside of dance for him. I loved Magda’s solo! The Luther Brown guys’ piece was 100% 🔥 I think Darius saved himself with that dance.
That wolf hip hop number he did with Magda did neither of them any favors. I couldn’t even see the dance moves with those bulky costumes. It also annoyed me that they kept saying it was outside of Magda’s style, when it was outside of Darius’ style too. Interesting that they are moving to Allstars partners next week. I want to see Gennessy dance with someone else, so I’m really looking forward to the change. What is with Nigel trying to make The Arnolds happen??? How many more times could he have injected Jensen needlessly into his critiques? Weird.

That routine in the wolf(?) suits was fat-out awful. Shame on those choreographers for saddling them with that routine AND the costumes.
Really though, this is one of the strongest top ten groups we've seen in a long time. For me, only Chelsea was weaker than the other nine. This final six is pretty stellar.
Based on how the voters usually go, I'm guessing the winner will be either Slavik or Jensen. I think they're both terrific, even if they're not my favorites. At this point, Jensen has gone farther in the competition that her sister did (Lindsay was top 8).
I'm curious to see if Darius and Hannalei have any chemistry together.

And I was so glad to hear Nigel speak to THAT SAME ISSUE - the importance of giving the dancers a great choreography that shows off their dancing skills, and not losing that, in favor of the 'concept' of the dance. That's exactly what killed off one of the best dancers of SYTYCD, Hok Konishi who, by the way, danced the #1 dance routine of the top 25 routines of all times!!! (as of 2014). But Hok was later given a horrible routine to dance, and was, sadly, eliminated the next week. (He went on to become a member of Quest Crew, which has earned a lot of accolades too!) I think Hannalei will bring out the best in Darius. When he dances on his own , he's a beautiful dancer. I'm wondering if Jensen will win this year..
