^^^ They’ve been dating for a while. Weird pairing.
Jenna is a gorgeous girl and could have any dress she wanted and her body would have looked amazing in any dress. Why pick that one? The neckline was awful and the dress looked like it didn’t fit her well, especially the top. I thought her hair and makeup was too severe as well and made her look older than she is. I’ve seen her look so soft and pretty at other events. I was surprised she chose that look.
I was also surprised that Whitney wasn’t a bridesmaid, while Lindsay was. I always thought those three were tight from childhood.

During an Upfronts press briefing on Tuesday morning, ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke revealed that “some really fun” changes to the show’s structure are on their way. Burke wasn’t able to offer specifics about the shake-ups, but she said Dancing‘s producers are planning to “surprise and delight the audience in new ways,” while maintaining “the same show that everyone knows and loves.” Though it’s not yet clear if the format changes will apply to Dancing‘s voting structure, its elimination process or another aspect of the show, the adjustments come in the wake of a controversial 27th season. After well-scored frontrunners (including Fuller House‘s Juan Pablo Di Pace and R&B singer Tinashe) were eliminated prematurely, dark horse Bobby Bones ultimately won the Mirrorball trophy, prompting many fans (and us!) to call for a change to the show’s voting system. After his surprising elimination, Di Pace voiced his support for a new voting structure: “Twenty-seven seasons later, maybe it is time for a refresh, a little nip and tuck. Maybe instead of being completely a popularity contest, it could actually be more of a skill contest. But who am I to say? I think the fans’ outrage will probably work for something.” Burke added that Dancing is pursuing “bigger stars” than the show has previously cast, though the full lineup won’t be revealed until late summer. Dancing With the Stars‘ 28th season will premiere this fall in its usual Mondays-at-8 time slot. |

A nip-tuck, huh? Bobby Bones mentioned on American Idol at one point that he was probably the worst dancer to have won the show. Yes, a nip-tuck in voting would be a good thing - if they do it right. It will be interesting to see who Cheryl considers "bigger stars". Will they climb out of the Disney, Reality pool and reach for a C lister?  |

Getting bigger stars requires 1) a time commitment they usually don't have, and 2) more money.
I guess if they're casting now for the fall, maybe they can get some bigger stars to clear their schedules. But the money thing could be a problem. I really wonder if the network feels like throwing more money at this aging show.

I read that article on my news feed and loved the responses. That the principal escorted the substitute teacher out the front door while she was still preaching her view says a lot about not letting go even for a few minutes.

It made me so sad that she would destroy his happy moment like that. Regardless of one's personal views, that is so cruel and insensitive. And meanness aside, it's just not OK to push your views in a public school situation like that. I'm glad the girls went to the principal and that she responded so immediately and forcefully. I had heard about the story, since I live in Utah, too. But there wasn't a picture associated with it when I first saw it, so I couldn't figure out why Louis' picture was associated with the story when I saw it again. I was surprised (and pleased) to find out the the boy was being adopted by Louis and his husband. I'm so happy for all of them that they have found each other. I didn't read that particular article, so it may talk about this, too; but I thought it was so sad that the little boy had had several failed adoptions and was afraid to make a fuss, because he thought it could derail this one. P.S. I did know that Louis was from Utah. So many of the pros are. There's a big ballroom dancing community here. |
