I'll admit that I was originally hatewatching this but then I realized that I actually liked this family. The Busby Family has the only set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S, and seeing them navigate the special needs of one of the quints, making time for their eldest daughter, and making time for themselves has been good. I like them because they don't act like they're perfect; last season the husband started seeing a counselor because he was so stressed out, and this season the wife's mother lost her home during Hurricane Harvey, and the wife is having health problems because she is also stressed out. I like seeing the different activities they do with the girls and basically watch them grow up. Is anyone else watching?

I have really enjoyed watching this show too. It seems like Danielle and Adam are trying to give all the girls individual attention and still maintain a healthy marriage. I like that they don’t make it seem easy or like they have it altogether. The girls are so cute and have such unique personalities. I love this show!

It looks like Lake Charles and the Houston area will not be affected by the current hurricane Gordon. I was so concerned for all of them, but the storm seems to be to the East of them.

That's good. Poor Mimi lost almost everything during Harvey, and I would hate it if the storms affected them again.

We love this show. The girls are so stinking adorable. Hazel is probably my favorite but they're all so cute. Dale is hilarious and is my favorite adult but I really love how sweet he and Hazel are together.

He does have a soft spot for Hazel that is so sweet. Didn’t he say that she was the first he held in the NICU so he feels a connection with her? I think I’m remembering that correctly. He is such a hoot- love his sarcastic responses! When he was talking about Riley learning karate (after the slapping incident) I was cracking up! So funny!!

She is the sweetest. Ava seems to be in the background a lot. She isn't as outgoing as Parker, Olivia and Riley. Riley is a mess. I think Adam and Danielle do a great job of parenting. I would be nuttier than a fruitcake. I like how the whole family is involved. Now if they can get Mimi back on track.

Isn't Riley the one that slaps everyone? She is so messy, LOL.
Besides having the eye issue, Hazel was also the smallest of the quints when they were born and as a result everyone felt really protective of her. Plus she's just an easygoing sweet child, you can't help but love her.

Yes, Hazel was the smallest. I've heard Danielle talking about her being squished at the bottom. I think you are correct that Riley slaps everyone. She's obviously smart but they are going to have to watch her.. They are all adorable in their own way. I love how clearly their personalities show.

Watched this week's episode and sometimes I think Hazel goes potty in her undergarments on purpose, lol. She just looks so pleased with herself!

I haven't been watching long, but I got hooked on it almost immediately. It's refreshing to see a Mom and Dad who aren't screeching at each other or the kids (y'all know who I'm talking about). I still can't tell them apart, but I can pick out Hazel (that one's easy) and I know which one is Ava (most of the time).
I have a question if anyone can help. I might have missed something OR maybe they are showing episodes out of sequence (which seems unlikely given that we're dealing with growing children) ........ but what has happened to the cycling gym place? They haven't mentioned it lately, pretty much not since Danielle went away for a trip. In the last episode I saw, Adam was staying late at 'work' for meetings that he couldn't get out of and then the previews show him talking about quitting his job.
Can anybody shed some light on my confusion?

I don't know; they own the gym and over the Christmas episodes she mentioned having other people work there. So maybe she just has less hours there because there's more instructors?
I loved last week's episode; they turned three! It was sweet of Blake to want to do a joint birthday party with her siblings again; that kid is absolutely gold. And lol at Riley for wanting to do the trapeze, then screaming anf crying as she fell into the ball pit! Seeing the father and Ava (I think) having their solo birthday adventure to get her nails done was really nice; I liked how they tried to do something special with each one on an individual level this year, and I'm glad he was finally able to be a part of it. Quitting his job is madness though. IMO, that's how reality TV stars get into trouble.

Last night was the season finale. The whole family (including Uncle Dale and Danielle's sisters) went with them to Hawaii. Even though Adam said it was because of his job they got to go I think TLC chipped in a good deal. Which is fine; they deserve a break.
While I applaud any man who doesn't refer to watching their own kids as "babysitting" and who actively wants to spend more time with them, quitting your job and embarking on a half-baked plan in self employment when you have 6 kids really isn't a good idea. I think Adam got good advice from his father and Dale; I hope he listens to them.
Riley is an absolute mess. Her destructive tendencies (like when she destroyed the sand castle Blake built by stomping on it) combined with the absolutely unnecessary long and violent temper tantrums (which in turn set off some of her siblings) and dislike of just about everything...I don't know, she strikes me as a deeply unhappy child. I was glad that Adam immediately took over when Danielle had enough; he just sat with her, talked to her calmly, and soothed her. She is the polar opposite of Hazel, who only cried when she got splashed with water at the beach (I loled at Danielle telling her that the water was the same as a bath). A few minutes of tears, and then she was her usual smiling self again. I love her bond with Dale and loved the scene where she was feeding him from her plate.

I love this show and think Adam and Danielle have done a wonderful job raising these kids, lovingly yet disciplining them in a teaching manner.
I, too, think Adam's quitting his job at this point is the wrong thing to do. My advice to him would be to wait 2-3 years until the kids are in school when Danielle could go to work at least part time to bring in money while Adam tries his hand at self-employment. It was only a year or so ago that they invested $50,000 in the cycle business, which undoubtedly has not become profitable at this time with two other couples in the mix. However, since his job seems to be for a relative, perhaps he could always go back there.
I would hope they get professional advice from a tax accountant before making any move. As a self-employed person, Adam will be paying double Social Security--both the employee and employer portions. They probably don't pay much income tax with 8 deductions, but who knows what the picture will be with Trump's new tax plan now in place. Health insurance for that family must be astronomical.
It might be less scary for them if they have a new contract already in place for another season of Outdaughtered. Hope so. I'm enjoying watching the girls grow, learn and mature.

I think the TLC income is exactly why this might be a good time to start his own business. They are bringing some money in so it is not like other people who would have no income at all. Not to mention, perhaps there are some connections via the production side of things that could help direct him, or help him get his foot in the door. I also thought they said the cycle studio was doing really well. I don't know if that means it's bringing in money yet but that's what I assumed when they mentioned it.

The cycle shop is doing well, but it's not enough to support 8 people and the health insurance for everyone is through Adam's job.

He’d probably never be able to quit his job without the TLC income, I agree. Their health insurance cost must be HUGE even without Hazel’s eye issue! I hope it all works out for them, but I would have strongly asked my husband to reconsider his decision.
Love this family and their show.

I discovered this show yesterday and have watched a couple episodes from each season on Sling TV. The last episode on Sling is the Hawaii one. Does anyone know if there are, or will be, more? I'm really loving this family!

I'm going to be kind and say that I respect her finding new ways to make her money, and that fans of the show with small children might be into this.
