Law&Order:SVU is renewed for season 21. It is now the longest running series in tv history. With Law & Order and A tv western whose name I forget, tied for second at 20 each.
If I add up the total years of all the Law & Order series combined, they've been on longer than I've been alive! lol

Really sad to hear that Fox has canceled The Gifted. I questioned their decision to kill off Stephen Moyer's character, but I was still on-board to see how they'd move forward without him.
I'm happy about the renewal of Manifest.

No problem, don't even know how I knew that. Westerns are not my thing, unless they are set in space on ships captained by people named Mal Reynolds. I guess I am a wealth of totally stupid and useless knowledge. hehe

Netflix just canceled Santa Clarita Diet and I'm so mad. They're making a good argument for canceling my Netflix subscription

Manifest was renewed for a second season, someone claimed it was the best new show of the season. Well, I don't think I would go that far. A show with a shorter 16 episode season needs not to have breaks unless it is 8 episodes and 8 episodes with strong story arcs within each 8 week period.

Netflix just canceled Santa Clarita Diet and I'm so mad. They're making a good argument for canceling my Netflix subscription WHY though?? It was pretty damn popular from what I could tell. And it would have been nice to have one last season so they could try and wrap up the story. Guess we'll never know what happens with Mr. Ball Legs now.

That’s awful. I also thought Santa Clarita Diet was popular. Loved that show but maybe another network could pick it up?

I won't be surprised if Blindspot gets the axe soon. NBC pulled it from the schedule for all of May sweeps, which is definitely not a good sign. I wouldn't be disappointed if they did cancel the show. It seems to have run its course.

It really seems to be running out of steam this season. The one bright spot that's kept me watching is Ashley Johnson. Her acting abilities are top notch....some of the others, not so much. I looked up her IMBD not too long ago and had no idea she was in so many things since her Growing Pains days as a kid.

LOTS of cancellations today (aka Black Friday). Alas. Among shows given the axe were: Speechless Splitting Up Together Life in Pieces For the People The Passage Lethal Weapon The FixIIRC, 15 shows were canceled today alone. I'm disappointed about several on that list. NOT surprised about Lethal Weapon. That show had, from all accounts an absolutely toxic set, even after Clayne Crawford was fired. I guess it takes two to tango. Apparently Damon Wayons was no prize either.
I really enjoy For the People, Splitting Up Together and Life in Pieces (with that big cast of established actors, I can imagine paying them all was a HUGE expense).
I thought The Fix was meant to be more of a short-run one-time series. I like it and I guess they could have continued it if the ratings were great, but it's definitely a self-contained unit.

I saw a lot of complaints that The cool kids was cancelled. I remember that they were hyping the Passage up like it was going to be the show of the century.

The Kids Are Alright was canceled too, which was basically the only new broadcast show I got hooked on this season. I'm so pissed.

ABC passed on a reboot of New York Undercover. I used to watch the original one. Plans are still set for NYPD Blue to come back, after retooling. The new series follows Theo Sipowicz, son of original series main character Andy Sipowicz, as he tries to earn his detective shield and work in the 15th squad while investigating his father’s murder.
