There's been a few good episodes, but only like a couple or so each season...

Editing is getting sloppy. They should have rules on these reality shows that the facial hair pattern you choose at the beginning of the season must be kept for the whole season.
I was getting dizzy this week watching Scott Barlow go from clean-shaven to whiskery on the "same day."
Reminds me of Josh Harris on Deadliest Catch. That man apparently grows out his whiskers in the middle of a scene. Often.

Recap of Episodes 23 and 24: Finally finished rebuilding the Garden Shaft, the bottom is 82 feet below ground. Probe drilling has began at the bottom of the shaft. It appears they have hit a tunnel at 91 feet, but the four-inch drill bit was unable to go further down. A six-inch drill bit is being installed to replace it.

Recap of Episode 25:
The six-inch drill bit was installed to dig through the rock. Water samples from surrounding wells indicate there's likely something in the area below the Garden Shaft, but time has run out.
So Season 10 ends with a cliffhanger. Next season's focal point will be exploring beneath the shaft. Should be interesting...

So Season 10 ends with a cliffhanger. Next season's focal point will be exploring beneath the shaft. Should be interesting... It's baaaaaaack! Season 11 starts November 7 As usual, the season starts with recap episodes, starting next week: The Top Ten Ancient Structures The Top Ten Treasure Theories THE TOP MOMENTS FROM SEASON TEN THE TOP TEN FINDS OF SEASON TEN So for the first time, they're going to be digging in the Money Pit from underground rather than from the top. Let's see if they find anything before getting flooded out...

Recap of Episode 1: The plan for the Garden Shaft is to dig out the area 20 feet below the shaft and then dig a mine shaft 95 feet below the surface west to investigate a possible tunnel in the Baby Blob area of the Money Pit. The 6-inch seismic drilling in the Money Pit has resumed again. B.5N-13 was dug outside the Baby Blob but nothing was found. E.5N-9.5 was dug 32 feet west of the Garden Shaft in the Baby Blob but nothing was found. DN-12 was dug in the Baby Blob and wood was found at 97 feet.

Recap of Episode 2: So far, all of the seismic drilling holes have been west or south of the Garden Shaft. For the first time, drilling was done east of the Garden Shaft to see if a possible tunnel underneath the Garden Shaft continues eastward. D.5N-26.5 was dug and wood was found at 106 feet. D.5N-25.5 was dug next to it and wood was found at 105 feet.

Recap of Episode 3:
The crew is awaiting approval of a permit to extend the Garden Shaft down another 20 feet to the 98 foot mark.
D.5N-24.5 (28 feet east of the Garden Shaft) was dug west of D.5N-25.5. A wood beam was found in a 7.5 foot void at 108 feet. A camera was put into the hole, but it hit water that was too murky to see anything.

Recap of Episode 4: D.5N-27 was dug to see if the tunnel extended eastward. Wood was found at 95 feet. C.5N-27 was dug five feet south of D.5N-27. Wood from a possible tunnel collapse was found at 111 feet. That's it for the seismic drilling in the Garden Shaft area, as the 109-ton crane was assembled and put into place next to the Garden Shaft. Water has filled the Garden Shaft to the top, so it will take several days to drain the water first before using the crane and 3-ton hammer grab to excavate another 20 feet below the Garden Shaft. Two levels will be added to extend the shaft to 100 feet.

Recap of Episode 5: Now that the area around the Garden Shaft is unavailable for seismic testing, focus has shifted to Aladdin's Cave, 60 feet southwest of the Garden Shaft. Hole L-14 in Aladdin's Cave was dug and a void was found at 140 feet. The hole will be investigated further after the sediment settles down.

Recap of Episode 7: A water leak was detected 60 feet down in the Garden Shaft, but after a storm, some 30 feet of water filled the bottom of the shaft. It will take some time to investigate how to deal with the water issue. KL-14.5 was dug in Aladdin's Cave and a cavern was found at 142 feet. A camera was put into the hole and sonar equipment will be used to map the area.

Recap of Episode 9:
It appears the source of the 250 gallon/minute waterflow in the Garden Shaft is coming from one side at 65 feet. A foam sealant is being pumped into the hole in an attempt to stop the leak.
Meanwhile, the Swamp has been drained as a new permit has been issued allowing work to resume in the area.
The surface road along the southeast edge of the Swamp is being dug up to see if the uncovered stone road in the Swamp extends further closer to the island edge.

I usually record the show and watch it the next day so we can speed through "coming up next" and commercials.
On Wednesday, we had lunch with out daughter and her husband (who got us hooked on Oak Island to begin with). He asked, "What did you think of last night's episode?"
I told him that I hadn't had time to watch it yet.
He responded, "So you didn't see them find the treasure???!!!??? Next week's episode will be them counting all the treasure and figuring out a value."
I didn't miss a trick. I said, "I doubt it. If they found it, next week's episode will be the Canadian authorities counting it and figuring out a value. LOL."

I told him that I hadn't had time to watch it yet. No worries, 12 episodes so far, nothing exciting has happened yet. Probably the next half-dozen will be more of the same

Recap of Episode 13: No caissons will be dug this year in the Money Pit due to the space occupied by the equipment used in the Garden Shaft project. The 40-foot core drilling probe was used in the Garden Shaft. It hit wood for a possible tunnel below. HI-6.75 was dug two feet away from H-8 but it was abandoned after it veered offline and hit the piping to an adjacent hole.

Recap of Episode 14:
The Garden Shaft is now being deepened to 95 feet, in hopes of reaching the suspected tunnel beneath the Garden Shaft.
The middle of the Swamp near the Stone Road is now being dug up. A huge boulder was uncovered, perhaps used as a marker.

Recap of Episode 15:
The Garden Shaft is nearing the 95 foot mark. While digging in one corner, it appears the wood from the top of the tunnel below is only a few inches away...
Several tree stumps were found buried in the Swamp, indicating the area wasn't underwater around that time.

Recap of Episode 16: A metal shoe frame is being installed at the bottom of the Garden Shaft to shore up the shaft before investigating the tunnel under the shaft. Hole F.75-8.25 was dug in the area of the RF-1 caisson, but it was abandoned after the drill veered off course and hit an adjacent hole. With Hurricane Lee fast approaching Nova Scotia in September 2023, operations on the island was shut down until the hurricane passes.

Recap of Episode 17: Hurricane Lee came and went with minimal damage to Oak Island. The Swamp naturally filled up with water and will take several days to drain. F.25-8.25 was dug 55 feet southwest of the Garden Shaft and wood was found at 150 feet. The Garden Shaft was extended down to 99 feet. Whole pieces of wood was partially uncovered at 100 feet. Next a probe drill will be inserted into the tunnel below to see where it leads.

Recap of Episode 18:
Turns out all they found was the bottom of a tunnel shaft, as the rest of the suspected tunnel underneath the Garden Shaft appears to have collapsed.
The Swamp has been drained again, and excavation has resumed at the southern edge.

Recap of Episode 19:
The Garden Shaft is to be excavated to 106 feet so that a horizontal drill bit can be used to investigate the tunnel path.
The walls of a wooden structure was partially uncovered at the southern edge of the Swamp.

Recap of Episode 20:
The Garden Shaft was excavated to 106 feet and the horizontal drill bit was used to take samples every ten feet.
Unfortunately, water started pouring through the drill hole as it appears that a flood tunnel may have been hit.
The possibility of digging a horizontal tunnel at the bottom of the Garden Shaft may be impractical now as the water is filling up the shaft.
Work on the northern portion of the Swamp has begun, in search of artifacts around a border marker in the Swamp.

Recap of Episode 21:
While water can be pumped out of the Garden Shaft, it might make the bottom of the Garden Shaft too unstable if all the water was pumped out.
The plan now is to keep the water level constant at a higher depth, and to use the horizontal drill bit at 55 feet in hopes of reaching an offset chamber.
