Very surprised that the kid didn't get an Emmy nomination.

Was the actor who plays the father once featured on TBBT as the bully who tormented Leonard in HS. I saw the old episode on TBS and it looks like him.

Plesed that they were renewed and the new season has been very good. This week's episode featured the mother having a problem accepting the death of a young girl in town and questioning why God would do so. The ending actually brought me to tears. Great acting by the young boy playing S.

I fell asleep before the end. Are they continuing with the twin study? Were there any results? Did the female scientist belt her lab coat? 😄

Loved that episode....loved how they made Missy the focus. It was so obvious that S. had no ability to understand emotions....as we well know and she was so personable charming and had interest and understanding of others.

It ended with the father still interested in using the kids' money for a boat and MeeMaw taunting him about it and Mary telling them on the ride home that it was too late for her to cook so they should eat out( with the father muttering " There goes.....") She told Missy that she could pick and she picked Red Lobster. Sheldon was a bit taken aback that Missy was the favored one. Maybe it was just me, but I thought that they focused on her since they discovered that hers was a different intelligence that they never recognized in her nor gave her credit for.

Did the female scientist belt her lab coat? 😄 Yes, she belted her lab coat, wore her hair down, and suggested that she and her male counterpart go out for a drink after work (to discuss the twins' reports - hahaha), and he agreed! This was a great episode!

Finally, Missy gets the spotlight! It is like in the womb she got all the emotional IQ and Sheldon got all the intellectual IQ. Personally, she should demand some of Sheldon's portion back.

I loved this weeks show.. even if I knew as soon as the study was mentioned it would be an EQ vs IQ showdown, lol. Most people with a high IQ have a lowered EQ, and Sheldon embodies that SO well. I know this is a comedy show, and fiction, but it was VERY interesting to me to see that played out with children. I know I suffer from low EQ at times and I never noticed it till I became an adult but it was very telling and I understood a lot more about my childhood after I came to know that. I felt Sheldon's frustration in that phase of his testing.

I get that moving to Oklahoma would have been disruptive for everyone, but I thought it was very sad that the father's dream, and chance to earn much more money for his family, didn't even deserve to be considered by anyone.

OMGoodness, this show puts me OVER THE MOON! I just watched the one about his tummy ache and it was so endearing. I loved every minute of it! I cried when Missy got in his bed and I laughed out loud thereafter repeatedly!
I keep asking myself how did they find this group of actors. They are spot on! I literally have to remind myself that they didn't create these characters, that these characters were created for them and they are just acting them out, it just amazes me how spot on they are! Especially Sheldon, but kudos to Missy... and MeeMaw... and Mary... and George... and Georgie! What a great cast and what a great show!

I agree, Cuddles! Plus I love the next-door neighbors and how I almost didn't realize at first that the husband was Mike from Mike & Molly because Billy Gardell is so good in that role ... and the shrewish wife who is always at odds with Mary. Their kids are great, too. Everyone is delightfully quirky. It always makes me lol to see how Sheldon's teachers react to him in the classroom when he not only knows all the answers but also corrects their teaching.

I thought Missy getting into Sheldon's bed was sweet. There is a bond twins share even if they don't show it on a regular basis.
It was also endearing to see Sheldon concerned for someone other than himself.

I love the relationship between Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis. The academic cocktail party was hilarious, with Meemaw regurgitating some relevant scientific phrases she heard from Sheldon, and Dr. Sturgis's colleague putting the moves on her. The last scene when the guys in the hazmat suits showed up outside the garage reminded me of the scene in ET when the feds came to get him.

I remember older Sheldon telling the couch friends about the time he needed nuclear material and the gov't shut him down. It was quite awhile ago, but this brought the memory back.

Missy playing catch with her dad and later accurately beaning her heartthrob hasbeen with a curve apple was so delightful. As was her dad's involvement in all of it.

Missy and her dad had another very sweet moment in an earlier season when her dad took her to a "fancy" dinner at Red Lobster.
This is such a well cast show. The little girl who plays Missy is a charmer.

I'm glad Professor Sturgis is coming back. I was afraid last season that he was gone for good.

Me too!!!!! As much as I love Ed Begley Jr., and have done since he was on St. Elsewhere, I love John Sturgis and Mee Maw's relationship.

I wonder where the relationship is going after this. You have to love the character of John who is just so giving and kind. His desire to answer everyone's questions and his concern for MeeMaw not having to be a part of his potential "episodes" just makes you love him.....but it will be interesting to see how they work it all out.
I do like Ira also....just saying.

I do like Ira also....just saying. I liked how Ira asserted himself at the end of the date. He was not going to be used as the rebound guy and risk being hurt again! I'll enjoy seeing how Meemaw handles these "rejections." Hope she and John work it out. He's adorable. What happened with the other college professor (Ed Begley Jr.) who liked her? I think he was in the episode a couple of weeks ago that I recorded and then accidentally deleted. Maybe John would get jealous if they dated and realize he wants Meemaw back before it's too late. I also enjoy EB on "Bless This Mess." I don't recall the actor's name who plays George Cooper, the dad, but he's fabulous. They all are.

I don't consider this a spoiler, as the news has been out for nearly two months, but Craig T. Nelson is joining the show at Episode 6 as a Little League coach who butts heads with George about Missy wanting to join the team. (Ironic he's playing a coach.) I'm guessing the coach doesn't want a girl on the team, and am hoping Meemaw goes out there to give him a piece of her mind ... and then maybe he becomes boyfriend material?

You called it.....coach and Meemaw have a date. Did see a little bit of the Professor---is that all they are goingProfessor to do with him? I really like Meemaw and coach together. They have a lot of chemistry, but they are both very strong-willed, so we'll have to see how this plays out. I guess it depends on whether Meemaw is really ready to move on or if she still has feelings for Prof. Sturgis, who definitely has his own unique appeal! Gotta add that I enjoy seeing a romantic story line between people who are around my own age. That's rare on TV.
