Episode 11 - "A Simple Plan" - April 17, 2019
Liked the Highway to Hell challenge. It is really hard to win the challenge without knowing how to do a puzzle.
It was so quite without Bear and Kam yelling all the time that I can see why some people might think it was a boring episode.
Interesting to watch Wes rate the players and reveal his plan. Cara Maria has always said she was not a runner.
HATED, HATED the way Paulie spoke to Cara, she had no attitude. This is the first time I have felt very active dislike to Paulie.
Paulie is that unusual player who can actually backup with physical action all of his smack talk. But Paulie is also a major snob. There are many ways to the finale. Social, political, physical plus some luck. One way is not better than another. The fact Paulie and Theo say Wes and others don't deserve to be in the finale is idiotic. Who died and made them the Challenge Gods? No one. The Challenge Gods don't pick who goes into the finale, it's whomever makes it to the finale by whatever means allowed and not the way Paulie deems it to be is who ends up in the finale.
Even with all the politicking I wish they had shown the elimination.
Won't mind if Hunter goes home next week at all. What a waste of space.

I figure Georgia will pick Nany and Nany will loose which I will be disappointed by. That preview they showed of Nany a few weeks back looks like she is struggling in the elimination comp. Cara was so cold to Nany. Cara has burned so many bridges now that it will be interesting to see how things pan out for Paulie and Cara next season.

I've been busy and have missed most of the episodes, so I'm not really rooting for anyone in particular. I'm especially not rooting for Paulie.

It is always interesting to see folks like Nany, who smokes, does not exercise, is good politically think they can win. Maybe it's just their job and that is what they have to say for their sound bites. I don't think her heart is really in the game. Cara I don't think was necessarily mean to Nany, she was upfront about leaving her options open for her game.

Ninja was being ridiculous towards Turbo. Then her friend got upset cause Turbo responded back to her? Yeah that makes sense. lol

Nany should have picked Hunter. He would have fought hard not only for Nany but so his ego could beat Turbo. Wes didn't care enough. Why the heck was Turbo so hell bent on helping Georgia win? I know she picked him but he was so damn happy after him and Nany had a great partnership. I found that odd and then laughed when he said I miss Nany already. Georgia keeping up with Paulie was impressive but she still gets on my nerves. Ninja looked so foolish and her friend getting involved was not her business especially when Ninja was the aggressor. Then Turbo gets attacked again bc he doesn't want to forgive her. The man needs a few days to cool down. Swallowing your pride and apologizing may be mature but it doesn't guarantee you forgiveness. Hunter threatening to leave? His hissy fits never cease to amaze me. Another cliffhanger. Annoying. Georgia: How do you always knows your right? Wes: Because I am.

Turbo I noticed is very in the now in regards to how he feels about about the competition. When he is picked as a partner he does his best regardless who the partner is. He got picked by Georgia, during that elimination, he is her ally so he will do his best. That's the way I read him.

Episode 12 - "Lost In Translation" - April 24, 2019 Starts with an Elimination Chair'd Remains with Georgia and Nany taped to chairs. I don't think they used Duct Tape as they would have been there FOREVER. It was some kind of packing tape and I simply do not understand how Georgia burst through at quickly as she did. Was it cut before hand? Or did Wes do it on purpose? On the other hand, while Nany does not exercise at all and does smoke I wonder how she thought she would be able to get into a finale against 5 tough girls. I do think she and Da'vonne are evenly matched but I do not see Nany winning $750,000. I can see her coming in third if she made it to the finale. Guys | Girls | Hunter | Cara Maria | Kyle | Da'vonne | Paulie | Dee | Theo | Georgia | Turbo | Mattie | Wes | Natalie D |
I think Nany was smart picking Wes as her ally as Georgia was smart picking Turbo. Nany knows how to think with her head and not her feelings. She would never have picked Hunter as Hunter is all emo and is not as good as he thinks he is. He doesn't get it that in this game you have to separate your emotions from your strategy. That is why he is so bad at it. Challenge - Day of Wreckoning Luv who ever is coming up with these names they truly are epic and war themed. I laughed when Hunter claimed this challenge was right up his alley, as it was strength and endurance. He has never been known for his endurance. Unless he really has been working on it. It was so funny to see him so confident, absolutely sure he would make the tribunal and it NOT happen. That really broke him. At this point in the game with 6 teams left in the game and the teams were male/female those who didn't make the tribunal were all up for elimination. Tribunal: Paulie & Georgia Natalie D. & Turbo Da'Vonne & Wes Up for Guys Hall Brawl elimination: Hunter Kyle Theo This looks like the perfect elimination for Hunter. It looks like it will be brutal no matter what. Now that Kyle is not being a total douche to Cara, I kinda like him but he needs to stop playing the victim. He created the situation he is in. He created the stupid friction between him, Paulie, and Cara and all three need to grow up. Natalie D/Ninja - yes there was horrible communication between Turbo and Ninja. The language barrier does not help. It was weird to see her snap and then see it was all for nothing because she and Turbo made it into the tribunal. From the editing it was hard to see if she really did go off on Turbo. I think Trubo feels as if he manhood was insulted. The entire apologize to him at the bar seemed staged and a weird place to do it. Dee needed to stay out of it as she made it worse. I do not think Turbo was being selfish, both folks were in two totally different places and there was no meeting of minds. It makes it difficult to resolve and it does not help that we saw a lot of scenes with Turbo and Ninja working out together. Next week: The Challenge is Crash Landing and TJ has been heard to say that the top male and female of this challenge automatically go into the finale and it will be a female elimination. Resulting in 5 guys and 5 girls left in the competition.

After last weeks ridiculous elimination of having to depend on someone else this elimination made up for it. This is what every elimination should look like. They both put up a great fight but what a tough loss for Kyle. The challenge was also good. Cara may have gotten on my nerves this season but she will be a great watch on the final. I am also interested to see just how much stamina Turbo has. Dee vs. Da'Vonne tug of war elimination. Da'Vonne's heart may win this and if she does then I'd like to see how she would do in a final.

Some were talking about not liking heights, but the plane didn't look that high above the water. Looked about 30 ft. It's like going off a diving tower. It doesn't look far when you are looking at it from the ground but it sure looks a long way down when you are looking down from a platform or in this case an airplane.

Epsiode 13 - "Final Destination" - May 1, 2019
The episode starts with Kyle and Theo participating in Hall Brawl. You need to win two out of three rounds. While I don't always like Kyle, he was a total ass toward Cara last season and he created the feud that exists between himself, Paulie, and Cara, I do like watching him in eliminations and challenges as he does have heart. I was rooting for him to win. I think he gave Theo a vicious waking up in how hard an elimination can be. I kinda wish Kyle had been healthier as it would have been so funny to see him win.
With Kyle eliminated it is down to 5 guys and 6 girls.
The challenge is Crash Landing. The fastest guy and girl to finish the challenge automatically go to the finale and do not have to do the next challenge.
Turbo finishes, Cara finishes, Paulie finishes, Wes finishes, Georgia finishes, Natalie finishes, Dee finishes. Hunter, Theo, Mattie, and DaVonne do not finish. The challenge needed to be done in 15 minutes and it was a puzzle.
Turbo and Cara go to the finale.
Turbo, Cara, and Paulie are on the Tribunal and it is a girls elimination. Paulie picks Dee to go because she allied with Wes. Dude she was Wes's partner. It is a stupid reason. Paulie does a lot based on emotion and not strategy. Turbo picks Ninja. He gets his revenge against Ninja and Dee. Cara promised not to throw in Dee or Mattie and has to choose between DaVonne and Georgia. At elimination Dee is voted in and picks Davonne as her opponent and it looks like they are playing some kind of tug of war. Of the remaining females DaVonne is physically the weakest with not much endurance and has asthma. However, I have seen her try on every challenge and every elimination she had been in so you never know.
There is a certain point in the game that you have to send in people you like or have alliances with, it is the nature of the game.
I enjoyed the episode. I do have problems understanding Turbo, but I got the impression no matter what he was having his revenge on Ninja and Dee and that after that it would be wiped but I am not sure. I don't think Dee got that impression though.
At this point in the game I kinda am OK with the remaining players except for Hunter. He is such a crybaby and throws temper tantrums all the time and is really nasty to the women.
Next Challenge it will be Theo, Paulie, Wes, and Hunter with the last guy being automatically eliminated.
For the girls it will be Georgia, Mattie, Ninja, and whoever wins the elimination, with the last girl being automatically being eliminated.

As far as in concerned Turbo can win. Otherwise, I dont really care this season. Surprisingly I have thoroughly enjoyed the season. I luv'ed that they eliminated so much of the useless drama, as there will always be useless drama. The best part of the season is having an elimination and challenge in each and every episode. That horrendous trilogy they had just dragged and dragged and dragged taking episodes or more to go through a challenge and elimination. This season is way better. But I totally respect that you don't like it.

Episode 14 - "The Waterboy" - May 8, 2019 DaVonne won the elimination (Tug O' War) and Dee went home. On paper Dee looks like the clear winner. DaVonne has heart and she tries. I do think in challenges and eliminations like this you have to pace yourself and DaVonne is used to doing that simply because she is not that strong. I do think she warms up and stays steady. I do think Dee went out a tad too fast. Down to 5 guys and 5 girls with Turbo and Cara already going to the finale. So there are 4 remaining guys and 4 remaining girls to compete in the Judgement Day challenge. The slowest guy and the slowest girl would be eliminated. Paulie was first up and I think went out too hard to fast will the dive at the beginning, especially going headfirst like he did. I felt for him, I really did but this was his inexperience in the challenge that did him in. Note how everyone changed their strategy after his run. I was hoping Mattie would not make it. Darn it. It was interesting watching everyone else's runs. DaVonne really had a chance to get into the finale and she had 5 minutes to make it up the cargo net past where Mattie ended her run and it looked as if she barely moved. Result: Paulie and DaVonne were eliminated. Paulie and DaVonne won the challenge in episode 1 and both were eliminated in episode 14, it's symmetry. The Finalists: Guys | Gals | Hunter | Cara Maria | Theo | Georgia | Turbo | Mattie | Wes | Natalie D |
Three veterans vs five rookies. Hunter is an ass and I don't want him to win anything. Also the finale is 50 miles and Hunter really does not have the endurance. Pacing is so important in the finale and I really worry about Turbo as he goes all out in challenges and I am worried he might hurt himself. The vets have experience on their side. I truly hope this is a brutal finale as it should be. Georgia is a runner and that can be an advantage as Camella would always beat Cara in these things. But again if the finale is brutal that may not matter that much. The preview indicated that there will be a tribunal. I will not be surprised if they have cut and try to reduce the finalists to a top three each like they have done previously.

Watching Paulie was brutal! I would have rather see him in the final than Theo. I was also bummed Da'Vonne lost but I really like Mattie so I'm interested to see how she performs. I'm glad Wes made it to the final! I loved the flashes of the rookies dropping like flies in the previews. I hope this final makes up for last years crappy one!

THIS CHALLENGE IS AWESOME! I cannot wait to see what Part 2 has in store. I wish we had only the vets competing in this challenge. Georgia and Ninja blacking out multiple times was scary. Even Wes fell it at the end. I love Mattie from Party Down South, she has a kind heart so it was sad to see her defeated. Cara Marie surprised me by not keeping up with the run on round 1 and then acting like a child with needles. That was super weird. Turbo struggling wasn't surprising. If he keeps his mental game strong, he could at least finish this thing. Theo is doing great but I wasn't a fan of him so I was hoping he would gas out at some point. I am pulling for Wes to win!

Episode 15 - "Death Race" - May 15, 2019 The Finale Part One - a 6 mile figure eight course in the desert. Finalists have to do 4 laps of this course, half running, half cycling. In the middle there are 5 puzzles that the finalists have 20 minutes to do or time out. This is a timed challenge. | Theo | Wes | Turbo | Ninja | Cara Maria | Hunter | Mattie** | Georgia* | On Point | Completed | Completed | Completed | Timed Out | Timed Out | Completed | | | Pyramid Scheme | Timed Out | Timed Out | Timed Out | Timed Out | Timed Out | Timed Out | Timed Out | | Skulled Out | Completed | Completed | Completed | Completed | Completed | Timed Out | Completed | | So Rolled | Completed | Timed Out | Completed | Completed | Timed Out | Completed | | | Rampage | Completed | Timed Out | Completed | Completed | Timed Out | Completed | | |
On Point - is a ring toss consisting of a board with 8 pins, and each pin has to have a ring tossed onto it for a total of 8 rings. All the guys completed this, none of the girls did. Pyramid Scheme - a 5x5 grid, similar to soduku, where you have to line up five colors but there can only be one of each color in each line. The colors were blue, green, yellow, orange and red. This is not that hard if you have individual colored pieces, but they had several 3 piece sets of yellow, orange, red and several 2 piece sets of green and blue. No one completed this. Skulled Out - a round vertical puzzle of a flaming skull. Hunter was the only person not to finish this. So Rolled - roll a tire through a slot in another tire. Wes's back was cramping and he couldn't do it. Cara Maria was the only girl left and she was not able to do it. Rampage - push a ball with a pole up a 20 plus foot ramp so it drops through a hole at the top of the ramp into a basket. Again only Wes and Cara were not able to do it. Name
| Time | Theo | 5 hours 34 minutes | Wes | 5 hours 44 minutes | Turbo | 5 hours 58 minutes | Ninja | 6 hours 35 minutes | Cara Maria | 6 hours 43 minutes | Hunter | 7 hours 03 minutes | Mattie | Eliminated** | Georgia | Eliminated* |
*Georgia was medically evacuated therefore eliminated. Was eliminated during lap 1, had completed the 3 mile run but collapsed during the 3 mile bike ride. **Mattie was physically shutting down and told TJ she could not finish (quit) but he did not berate her at all as he usually does, but did tell her she needed to quit smoking cigarettes. Was eliminated while trying to finish the run during lap 3. Had completed the run/bike portion of lap 1 and 2, and attempted two games during the checkpoint after lap 2. Mattie completed Skulled Out and timed out of Pyramid Scheme. Ninja did collapse, and one of the producers had to carry her in off the race course. They gave her water, and the medic said her vitals were good and she said she could continue and went back to racing. I do think in previously season they would have not let her finish and would have eliminated her but the racing conditions are so harsh they are not doing that. Theo has a blister on his foot. Wes's back is cramping. Turbo's legs are cramping. Hunter is cramping. Cara Maria said her right hip and leg are useless. Conditions are so harsh, that all of the finalists are given the opportunity to have a IV drip to rehydrate and it looks as if Cara Maria refuses because she has a phobia of needles. All I am thinking is that you are giving away your opportunity to race at a better level your competition will be hydrated and you will not be. You just gave away $750,000. You are so stupid, I was angry with her. The episode ended with TJ stating there will be a tribunal, with Theo, Wes, and Turbo deciding who will go in. From the preview it looks as if Hunter and Cara will be doing a final elimination.

I can see Theo voting for Hunter. I can see Wes voting for Cara Maria or Ninja. I can see Turbo voting for Ninja.
From the previews it looked pretty obvious that Hunter and Cara were in the Elimination round. After all that puts in two veterans. I can see Hunter picking Cara Maria as he always seems to have a vendetta against her.
Some musings:
It would have been interesting to see Nany, DaVonne, or Dee in the finale. I do think deep down DaVonne would keep trying, she is just very, very, very slow.
Bear down in the sand would have been fun.
Would Ashley even been able to finish the 24 miles?

I'm rooting for Wes. Are they going to show the winner in the next episode or make people wait till the reunion? I have no clue and that would be the worst idea ever, I hated when they did that it was such a waste of everyone's time. I would not mind seeing Wes win. He I think has probably trained the best for this, he is smart. And for the couple of rookies who told him he was too old for this it would be the best revenge.

A friend of mine who is a physical therapist said that Paulie probably compressed his neck in that first dive and injuried himself at that point. Even I was thinking something along those lines as he hit the water head first at speed and he really didn't have his arms and hands up to protect his face and neck and he needed to have his head aligned with his spine when he hit the water. It didn't help at all that he fell three times and basically on his neck at the end of his attempt.
