I love FMA! I got into the first version on Adult Swim, and then Brotherhood when it ran a few years later. This show got me interested in anime in general, mostly the other titles that ran on Adult Swim, like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, Cromartie High School, Big O, Full Metal Panic, etc.

Has anyone watched " MARCELLA" on Netflix? Hubby and I started watching it evenings while we were in CT and really are enjoying it. Marcella is really troubled; while a great detective, she is struggling emotionally with the death of her baby girl. We just started Season 2. The cast is wonderful. www.imdb.com/title/tt5269594/

Lots of twisty turns along the way. Agree that the cast is wonderful.

I just happened on "Indian Matchmaking" and I am hooked. It's really all that you need to know is in the title, but I am so invested!!!!!! There are people both in India and in the States and man! Awkward dates! Unrealistic expectations! There is one woman and I am so rooting for her that I find my self commenting like I'm watching football.

There's a moment in (I think) Infinity War where he appears out of the darkness across the train tracks with the longer hair and the beard and I just said, "Oh, Daddy!"
I just finished watching Skin Decision and was pleasantly surprised. I kind of expected it to be more like the surgery shows on Discovery Channel that my dad loves to watch and then tell my mom (who gets queasy hearing about a hang nail) about at dinner. While this show did have surgeries, I think they minimized how much blood and guts you see. I was also pleased to see how they often opted for the non-surgical option. It made me wish I had enough money to get some of that work done!
I just started Indian Matchmaking. The matchmaker is a riot. She's so much more diplomatic than I would be!

I'm not as picky as everyone else who has commented so I'll admit I really liked The Old Guard. You are right about the ending, though. It begs for a sequel, or if this was a series, a second season. Was the woman greeting him in the room the one who has been trapped in the iron cage at the bottom of the ocean? I do like that the leader facing her mortality was given an apprentice to train. IF there is no higher power, how do all these coincidences happen. Still, I really liked it - violence, gore and all.
Then I watched Pride and Prejudice. I have it on DVD, but it was so easy just to click play without loading, etc. Some scenes from the "original" PBS series always keep me from enjoying this movie - Mr Darcy swimming across the lake and rising from the bath. The pomp and circumstance wedding of Jane and her love. The discovery and wedding of sister Libby and the libertine in London. I realize one was a series with more time to fill, but I always feel something is missing from the later movie version. HOWEVER, the ending scene with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth with the endearment name talk is one of the sexiest scenes ever filmed; as well as being one of the most romantic.
ETA: Getting ready for the new season of Lucifer by watching the last few episodes of season 3 (especially the one with Ray Ray) and season 4.

I watched the Old Guard last night and I too really liked it. I loved the couple, so romantic! I read that there are going to be three movies.
I also finished Indian Matchmaking - I loved it but I kept waiting for an update on the couples. Did it work? Are they happy?

Finished The Warrior Nun - I wasn't sure about it in the beginning but I really got into it at the end. There'd better be another season! Only - a dreary apocalypse movie about a mysterious plague killing off only women. Meh. Ju-On: Origins - fans of the Grudge movies or Japanese horror might like this. Episode four was...disturbing. The Business of Drugs - really interesting look at the business side of the drug trade. The billions of dollars this country pisses away with no results...

RAKEwww.imdb.com/title/tt1587000/Hubby and I just started this Series. We are really liking it. Has anyone else seen RAKE? StorylineOn any single day, Cleaver Greene is described as many things. Whilst his ex-wife may call him 'unreliable', his son will call him 'a mate'. To his learned friends at the bar table he is 'a real wag', to his jurors he is 'hilarious', and to most judges he is 'an outrage'. To the Tax Office, he is 'a defendant', to a certain brothel owner 'a legend', and to his former cocaine dealer 'a tragic loss'.
We are on S1 and it appears there are 5 seasons!!!

Stateless - this was really well done, and I like that they showed different points of view. That one female guard, though... The Dawn Wall - documentary about free climbers on El Capitan in Yosemite. Yikes. No way would you catch me hanging off the side of a cliff in a tiny little tent like that.

Some tv series I have watched during quarantine:
The Valhalla Murders – A detective with a painful past returns to his native Iceland to help a police officer hunt for a serial killer. Standard crime drama that checks all the boxes! Caliphate - A looming ISIS attack on Sweden entangles the fates of five young women. So good! The intensity never stops. If you like Homeland, watch this. Unorthodox- A woman flees an arranged marriage in Brooklyn to start a new life abroad, then her past catches up to her. Watch it! One of the best series I have ever seen. The Trial- Entangles story about the brutal murder of Angelica, a 17 year old girl. Another crime drama that I really liked it! Reckoning- Explores the darkest corners of the male psyche through the eyes of two fathers, one of whom is a serial-killer. I need something more but Sam Trammell and Aden Young will keep you around! The Woods- A prosecutor's hopes rise after a body is found and linked to his sister's disappearance 25 years earlier. Harlan Coben novel so it hooks you! Curon- When their mother vanishes after they arrive in her hometown, teenage twins discover secrets behind the village's tranquil facade. Fantasy/mystery that you may watch to pass the time. Blood And Water- After crossing paths at a party, a Cape Town teen sets out to prove whether a private-school swimming star is her sister who was abducted at birth. Predictable and not very good. The Mire - In an early 80s Polish town, a prostitute and a youth leader are found killed, but the police's handling of the case makes two journalists suspicious. Watch it! Women Of The Night - Haunted by a shadowy past, the wife of a rising star in the mayoral office finds herself drawn into Amsterdam's underworld of sex and drugs. A juicy drama! Feel Good - Recovering addict and comedian Mae tries to control the addictive behaviours and intense romanticism that permeate her life. Her efforts are complicated by a new and all-consuming relationship with her new girlfriend, George. Satisfying comedy series! Never Have I Ever - The complicated life of a first-generation Indian-American teenager. Watch it! Funny comedy by Mindy Kaling. Gentefied - In Los Angeles, three Mexican-American cousins chase the American Dream, even while that dream threatens the things they hold most dear, including their neighborhood, their immigrant grandfather and the family-owned taco shop. It took a few episodes to be invested but it turned out to be a good family show. Valeria- While going through a marital crisis, a writer finds solace in her three friends. Funny comedy! She - An undercover assignment becomes a timid Mumbai constable's road to empowerment, as she realizes her potential. Not the best but the main character kept me in. Unstoppable- Three young people go on a road trip to escape their problems but cross paths with a desperate woman who forces them to change direction. Pass! Love 101- Trying to keep their beloved teacher from leaving town, a group of teenage outcasts band together to help her find love, and find the courage to be themselves. It took a few episodes for me to care, then it had good moments, and then I stopped caring again. Control Z - When a hacker begins releasing students' secrets to the entire high school, the socially isolated but observant Sofía works to uncover the hacker's identity. This was a crazy wild ride!! Into The Night - When the sun starts to kill everything in its path, a plane full of passengers must travel at night in an attempt to escape its destructive power and find some place safe. Don’t torture yourself like I did. Pass! Waco - The FBI and ATF seize religious leader David Koresh's Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas in the spring of 1993. Even though I know the story, the cast is fantastic but it also dragged at the end.
