I Care a Lot - featuring one of the most horribly unlikable main characters I've ever watched. Wow. Decent movie until the last 30 minutes or so where it got really dumb, but then the ending made me feel a bit better. Nice to see Peter Dinklage again, too. Tribes of Europa - a weird dystopian series that's sort of Hunger Games mixed with Mad Max. Mostly in German but some dialog was randomly in English, which was odd. Not terrible. I heard that Rosalind Pike is in this and you really end up hating her character y/n Oh her character was evil. So diabolical. She got the Golden Globe on Sunday her that performance of evilness. PD did a great job too. Like waywyrd said it was great seeing him again.

She wasn't even an anti-heroine you could sorta root for, she played an evil, sociopathic creature that made me want to throw things at the TV.

It is funny you say what you did about watching Outlander.. I have mentioned in the Outlander thread before that I loved the first few books but then it got to be the same story in a different land after awhile. I love the characters and I do still enjoy the show but it is starting to hit me the way the books did.. which I never finished if I am being honest, but they did not have Sam Heughan.. which is likely why I keep watching lol.

We watched Murder Among the Mormons yesterday. What a crazy story. That one guy - the chubby bald one in the fussy suit - was like something out of The Blacklist. I half expected James Spader to appear out of the shadows and hold him at gunpoint

I know, right? I keep trying, but don't remember the news stories about this. Shows when you detect, you really need to dig deep to find all the spirals.

Bridgerton - I succumbed to peer pressure and watched this. I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Regé-Jean Page who plays the Duke... I swooned. Where can I find a person who looks at me that way? (Sorry hubby lol). Great casting pick. I gauge whether a show is above average when I don't find myself doing other things while its on. I watched this from episode one to the last episode eight without any multi tasking. I very much am looking forward to a season two.

Netflix is supposed to be implementing a new policy by cracking down on password sharing. If you're not in the same household you will receive a prompt saying "If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching.” They will then give you the option of either getting a code that is sent to the account holders phone/email or you can opt to verify later. This kinda annoys me, especially since they have a option where you can have up to 4 screens playing at once (which you pay extra for) which I thought would be for people sharing their accounts with children who are away at school! This is greed.

My mom quit getting it and I know she doesn't regret it. They're not the only choice these days. They better be careful. There are more and more streaming services all the time.

I just binged most of the episodes of "The Repair Shop." It sure has a British Baking Show vibe with bird song and folksy views. I know some of you watched it a few years ago. I enjoyed this show! The clock guy is amazing and all the upholstery and leather work fascinated me!

I try to stretch it out because I enjoy it so much, but I cry almost every episode because it's so sweet.

Isn't the whole point of Netflix is that it is a mobile platform. What if you travel and you use a streaming device to download Netflix wherever you are staying? What if you are on the east coast and your spouse is on the west coast? This can go so wrong.

I know hotels offer Netflix on their smart tvs and you can sign in to your account from there. I guess I don't get it?!? Eta: Yah what Bearcata said

I think the password sharing crackdown has more to do with big bunches of people using the same account. Obviously, you can use your password to watch on devices all over the place. I've used mine on multiple devices of my own, my parents' televisions, and hotel room TVs. I think there are a lot of people out there using accounts of their exes or their friends who may not even know it. I know several people who used their ex's account for years after they broke up. I thought it was shady, but wasn't about to insert myself into the situation. In theory, my parents could use my account - I'm logged in on all of my accounts on their Rokus - but the reality is that they probably would never bother. They're just not that interested in streaming.
It looks like all you have to do is enter your information and maybe do that account verification thing by going to the website and entering a code they email/text you. The article I read indicated that this was just a test program.

After seeing it advertised for the past year or so, I finally watched Unorthodox. Loved it! The lead actress is luminous. She looked so much like a young Leah Remini. The show itself was a fascinating look into a very closed community.

A heart breaking 6 part series about the torture and murder of an eight year old child by his mother and her boyfriend and the failure of all the agencies in LA County who should have protected him. Heart breaking. But we should watch this to make sure it can't happen again, though it happens all too often. The creulty towards children by those who should love and protect them is unbelievable, it happens all too often. I'd highly recommend this documentary Trials: Gabriel Hernandez. God bless Gabriel Hernandez and all abused children. I'm just so sad.
