We're on episode 4 I think,( I was nodding off last night,) but something is changing. I like it.. This is based on a true story , isn't it ?

Just finished Season 1 of American Vandal. Hubby and I thought it was good but not great. It`s a good show if you`re looking for something not too heavy.

Hubby went into detail about the GF and The Serpent and them getting arrested and their jail sentences and how bizarre all that played out.

Ýes, he missed the notoriety he thought he'd outplay the authorities it didn't work out too well. Interesting seeing the real people at the end and what happened to marriages etc

OMG, Thunder Force with Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer was exactly what I needed! So funny and silly and I love that the superheroes were two women in their mid-40s who don't look like super models!
Every time Jason Bateman's character scurried out of a room, I busted out laughing. That was such a silly, specific thing. I loved it.
A few weeks ago, I thought it was already out, but couldn't remember the name of it. I looked on imdb and found Superintelligence, which is on HBO Max. Melissa McCarthy? Check, Octavia Spencer? Check. Bobby Cannavale? Check. Totally different movie! Not a super hero movie. Still worth watching.
I love when the same actors work together a lot. You know then that they all actually like each other and want to work together vs. just collecting a paycheck.

This sounds like something I'd enjoy too. I always enjoy Melissa McCarthy & Octavia Spencer. Plus funny & silly are kind of what I'm needing. It seems like so many of the movies available, even on Netflix just don't appeal to me. Violence, torture, misery, destruction, rape. These just aren't what I want in a movie. That's not entertainment to me. I want humor, drama (but not the horrific kind), great and fun characters, not movies that upset or depress me. I might hunt down the other one too.

Haunted: Latin America - more scary stories, this time from other countries. I always like these. Penguin Bloom - it got to be a bit too sad and depressing at one point, but it turned around quickly and ended on a more uplifting note. What Lies Below - a cringey mess with an ending so weird I had to look up an interview with the director to find out what the hell he was trying to do. So dumb and badly acted, but we couldn't stop watching. The Serpent - unbelievable how this guy got away with so much. I tried to have some sympathy for his girlfriend, but...nah. Synchronic - a trippy sci-fi tale that I really enjoyed. A lot. Anthony Mackie was especially good.

The idiot and his gf going all over the world plotting killing innocent people ....... nope. I hope he rots in jail.

I watched Behind Her Eyes (limited series) yesterday. Sci fi thriller . I enjoyed it, lots of twists and turns and not too long and drawn out. Beautiful actors, tasteful love scenes. LOVED IT. The acting was fabulous. As someone that does not care for Sci Fi thrillers, this series I LOVED. The ENDING. I would have NEVER guessed hence I love how they kept the viewing audience wondering. I hope and I am guessing there will be an S2. I just binge watched the whole thing (Behind her Eyes) last Friday. It took a couple of episodes to really get interested. But WOW! And that ending was such a twist! I would watch a season 2, but the way this ended, I don't really see a season 2 for this one

Shadow and Bones - based on a YA fantasy novel. Wow, really liked it. Liked the combination magic vs steam punk/technology, money heist vibe set in a Russian like country. Sets and costumes looked great.
The young female heroine in these types of novels tend to be rather naive and yearning for the love of a her "Prince Charming". There are also the "mean girls" that attack her and are jealous of her. Alina is a step up from that character and the script did have the character grow and learn and mature so I like that. Initially the Crows are the most interesting characters. Life can be hard and some of the moral choices may be a tad "wow, that was cool and then you think wow, they just hurt someone to get the job".
Milo the Goat was a fun touch.
Over all much better than I though it would be. It is 8 episodes long and there is enough content that it would be a satisfying 2 night or 3 night viewing.
