I watched the first 5 episodes of ClickBait yesterday. Wow! I desperately need to know who killed this man! But I too am going to have to wait until I have time to actually watch. It's not one of those in the background while working shows I'll have to check that out. I'm currently watching Never Have I Ever. A friend mentioned it and I thought it looked cute. I binged season one and half of season 2 yesterday. Hope to finish it up tonight. I really liked it. I don't know how much it is aimed at teens but I don't care. Plus that gorgeous Common is in it!

There were 3 or 4 different characters that at some point I was CONVINCED had to have been the one. The actual killer, never on the radar.

The Woman in the Window - great cast, good start, mediocre ending. It tried to be like Rear Window but just didn't make it. Sweet Girl - I'll watch anything with Jason Momoa. Not terribly believable, but the twist was decent and it was fun to watch Big Pharma jerks and sketchy politicians get taken out. Clickbait - this was so fun guessing who did it! We had it wrong up until the very end, I didn't even think about that person. Well done, Netflix.

^^^ I agree; very well done. (Clickbait) I normally wouldn't have watched it, but it is getting such rave reviews on this site.

No spoilers! It’s so much better to be surprised. 😁 It’s a relatively short limited series (8 episodes?) so completely doable.

Since my tv is out (I think because of the storm) it's totally doable!

We binged on Clickbait this weekend. Gosh, I am not really sure what to think. It had a Broadchurch feel to it. And wow.

With the news of the death of Michael K. Williams ( The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Lovecraft Country) I read of a three season (only 6 episodes each) show, Hap and Leonard, that is on Netflix. I binged it and LOVED it! Highly recommend! RIP Michael.

I ran into The Circle, season 3 and am binging. Interesting twists with interesting characters...gorgeous apt building setting - definitely not a communal living space like Big Brother...but that is the point - to keep them separated except through non-visual chat.

I'm not caught up but am enjoying what I've seen so far. We have a separate The Circle thread that I'm staying out of right now until I catch up.

Nightbooks - an updated take on an old fairy tale. It was made more for older kids, but is perfectly watchable for adults too. Really nice set/effects and Krysten Ritter was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
I'm also binging Breaking Bad because I'm probably one of the few people who hasn't watched it yet...halfway through the first season and it's great.

Squid Game: I started watching this thinking it was a Korean version of a Battle Royale but for adults who have a lot of debt but then it took a crazy turn to the left and I could not stop watching; it's very pyschological. People who are buried in debt get an invitation to play "games" for 5 days. There is one game per day, and the people who win get money. If you win all 5 games your debts are paid off and you win a lot of money, while losing at any point has fatal consequences; the first game was a particularly lethal version of "red light, green light" that cut their numbers in half.
The series follows certain people and you get to know their motivations and why they would feel like they have no other choice but to do this. I've only watched two episodes but I want to see how it ends, as well as finding out who is the mysterious people behind the Squid Game.

Midnight Mass - isolated island community that becomes involved with supernatural horror. The creator/writer of The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor created and wrote this. Not scary but there is gore. It was good, although I felt the subject matter of religion and people drinking the Kool-Aide with their beliefs tends to be overdone, but was still creepy. Overall enjoyed it and some small twists that make you go A-HA. Some of the same actors from the other Haunting shows were in this. The actor who played the Sheriff, was fantastic.

I absolutely loved this series! It tended to get wordy but was still engaging, and any scary/gory stuff was used sparingly but very effectively. I didn't even see the little bomb they dropped at the end coming. Several of the cast members just acted their asses off and I kind of want to watch it again because they were so good...

I seriously can't wait for season 3 of After Life!!!! They are trying to get it edited for a release date close to Christmas. This is the first time Ricky has stuck with a series beyond 2. (He wrote and created the British shows "The Office", and "Extras"). Below, Just some quotes from articles. He said in one that he wrote I think 3 or 4 endings for Series three, and they went with the ending everyone said was their favorite. "That'll be the final instalment. It's the first time I've done a third series of anything but it felt right, and I fell in love with the characters, I think this should be it." Asked when it will arrive on Netflix, he said: "As close to Christmas as we can, either just before or just after. It's nearly finished, it's the best one yet." "He said: 'I had therapists coming up to me and saying, "I teach it to some of my people, please don't let him die", because it meant something. Now I have this responsibility.'" 'I love this more than anything I've ever done': Ricky Gervais reveals therapists use After Life to treat their patients and admits he is torn over ending the show at series three. (Note: Fans want a series 4, he said there is endless material, but he said he would do 3, and so that's it.... But, who knows?) Daily Mail
