Me too. Jason Bateman has another production in the works.Very glad to hear this! He is such a talented actor. I never thought that the kid from The Hogan Family would be so damn talented! But looking back, he had a little something extra even then. I think he was overshadowed by his sister at the time.

Ozark - well, the one thing I didn't want to happen...happened. Sigh. I'll miss this show, even though it stressed me out to watch.

OMGOSH we just finished OZARK. Yes waywyrd so so stressful watching as the season came to a close. I am guessing you did not want Ruth to die. Me either. I said to hubby that possibly Rachel was on the roof of the camper with a rifle when Camilla came walking out of the woods. BUT NOPE. Ruth DEFINITELY takes the EMMY. Laura Linney was outstanding. I thought Richard Thomas was as well. Outstanding. Jason was his usual calm cool and soft spoken Marty. Love Marty. I loved seeing Wyatt from time to time in Ruth's dreams. When their VAN rolled over I thought that was the end and they all died. That was so INTENSE. OMG. OZARK will be definitely MISSED. If anyone reading here has not seen one episode ...... it truly is a series that was AMAZING ....... WATCH IT!!!!!!!!

Jason Bateman is such a talented actor, but I've read that he's really gotten into producing and directing since Ozark and was surprised to notice when watching Under the Banner of Heaven on Hulu today that he was listed in the credits as co-executive producer! I really, really, really wanted Ruth to make it out alive!

We watched Our Father last night. It is the documentary of a fertility doctor who used his own sperm to impregnate a lot of women in Indiana. I don't want to spoil how many people found out they were half siblings but it was jaw dropping. One of his "offspring" even went to him as he was her OB/Gyn before she knew.
It was interesting, sad and very frustrating as well. This man was all levels of sick. He was not only highly religious he was obsessed with conception, birth and from what they mentioned the quiverfull movement.

Watched:
Operation Mincemeat - movie base on true story nicely done very period
The Lincoln Lawyer - 10 episodes, better then expected, good tension throughout all episodes, very good
In From the Cold - 8 episodes, trailer looked good, episode one a bit of a slough and not as good as the trailer, bit of an issue with the sound may need to use subtitles. Can fast forward through some of the modern day mother daughter stuff. Pet peeves, skating sequences during competition are not done with a spot light. I have been to a figure skating world championship and sat in the stands all week long, you just don't show up at the end after sightseeing and partying with your teammates and just show up for competition la di da as the story indicates.

The Lincoln Lawyer. Based on novels by Michael Connoly (same as Amazon Prime's Bosch*) and produced by David E Kelley. I really liked this and had a hard time giving up last night to get some sleep, to finish it this morning. McConaughey's movie is a favorite of mine, and this stood up well. Good binge.
*Bosch: Legacy, is the new series on Freevee (a cable app I've never noticed before) that takes up after the final season on Amazon with Titus Welliver. He is now a PI and his daughter Maddie is a rookie cop. Some actors from the original series, like Honey Chandler, Crate and Barrel are in it and the only thing I don't like is that episodes are put out weekly so you can't just binge a whole season now. Well worth watching if you're a Bosch fan!

Watched it and the documentary really makes this a scary situation. I remember this when it happened and I did what I normally did and ignored it because the news floods every channel with the news 24/7 and repeat, repeat, repeat. If you don't know what happened the news never recaps they just jabber on just like they do now. The news didn't really explain what was going on unlike the documentary which spelled everything out especially the cleanup issues. Never realized there had been a whistleblower regarding the cleanup. Bechtel and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission come across as very incompetent. Bechtel also greedy.

Floor is Lava is coming back for season 2. I thought I saw June 3rd! YAY! Ok is this an adult only show as my 6yo granddaughter watches it all of the time over and over again trying to jump all over the playroom furniture CONSTANTLY. So if this is S2 Stevie must be watching S1 over and over and over again. 🤪🤪🤪 When I am watching her I tell her to stop all this jumping around the playroom as I have NO plans to go to Urgent Care with broken ankles etc! 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

No adult only, but lots of jumping around to avoid landing on the floor, which looks like hot lava. Adults are the player/contestants, but I can see the appeal to kids.

Ok thanks ArielfliesStevie watches it on her tablet while in the playroom. I watched a few “scenes” but am not overly interested in it. Hmmm I better check it out for any inappropriate language. She thinks the people are getting burned from the lava. I told her NO WAY it just colored water that they are falling into. Personally, i think she needs to get back to “Barbie Roberts!!!

Oh gosh, momrek06 sounds like you might have a tomboy on your hands! Older than Stevie's age but I loved jumping around the room on my mom's furniture. I didn't know the game had a name, we just tried to make it all the way around the room without having to touch the floor. We were supposedly old enough to leave at home alone! We never got hurt doing that. The most hurt I got was jumping off my swing set from a moving swing that I didn't get out of the way before it hit me and I still have the scar! (That thing with 2 facing seats and a platform that I don't even think they make anymore.) I used to climb trees as well as jump off the top of the porch 6 steps down to see if I could land on my feet. 6 steps with the slope was a little more than I could do, but I never broke any bones doing it! I wonder if you can take her to one of those places where she can jump on stuff and get some of it out of her system. Might not work as it's not the same challenge! Part of the fun of the furniture jumping is when you succeed in making it all the way around the room. Eta: We love "The Floor is Lava". I don't remember if the language is bad but otherwise it's probably just fine for her to watch.

I watched Heartstopper, and it was sweet and funny, and almost old fashioned in how it approached gay teen crushes and coming out. But the actors are perfect and it's a quick 8 episode season. Spoiler: I cried at the end. Olivia Coleman is so good...
Also, good news! Netflix announced it was renewing Heartstopper for not one but TWO more seasons! They never do that with their shows. Mostly they cancel their shows. So the response to this show must have been through the roof.

Unless there is a season 2 of Ozark to prove me wrong, I will live in my perfect ending dream world, forever holding onto the belief that Jonah did NOT shoot Mel when the screen went black. He shot someone more deserving. LOL.
(Sorry . . . I can't get rid of the Spoiler tag for some reason.)

Stevie has now taken up surfing (lessons) and loves everything about baseball. She also is quite the little daredevil BUT not on Grammy's watch. I prefer her to do all that "monkey business" on her parents watch NOT MINE. But she loves ballet (she does lyrical jazz) and playing the violin. So she is quite the busy 6yo.
