I didn't even realize The Lincoln Lawyer was a new series, I thought y'all were talking about the old movie with McConaughey. I see good reviews everywhere, I'll have to add it to my list.

I saw it online, amd thought it was the old version( which I liked) The new one is pretty good, we would have binged if it wasn't for hockey..

As a Michael Connelly superfan who LOVES the Mickey Haller series and HATED the movie with Matthew McConaughey - terrible casting - I'm really enjoying the Netflix series. I think Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is terrific as Mickey. It's always nice to see Neve Campbell on TV. I'm just a few episodes in because I've been so swamped with work, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
With this on Netflix and the new Bosch series on Freevee, I'm in heaven!

I am with you on being swamped.. work and school.. I plan on taking some time this holiday weekend to watch it. I, however, did love the Matthew McConaughey movie, mostly for Matthew, but it is one of them that if it is on, I watch it kinda movies. I still need to get on the Bosch train, my dad loved the show and tells me to watch but i have no time these days and my list is still jam packed. lol

I just happened to watch the beginning of Criminal: UK . . . and binged straight through it. I love to look at IMDB when shows come on, just to see if there are any actors I recognize from other shows/movies I've watched. Hit the jackpot today. "Tony" on C:UK is someone who was in a Harry Potter movie, but even after confirming it, I couldn't believe it!!! {Spoiler} He was Stan Shunpike (the conductor of the Knight Bus) in Prisoner of Azkaban!!!

We finished part one of season 4 of Stranger Things. Enjoyed it quite a bit. A few draggy spots, but I liked seeing everyone again. And as Kate Bush fan, I was thrilled to hear her song featured as a big part of the plot.

I just finished the available season 4 episodes of Stranger Things last night and it does come together in the end (or at least the end until the next few episodes drop in July). I agree that the first 2 or 3 episodes were rough, but stick with it. It does get better and things start coming together. I didn't enjoy season 3, so I wasn't sure I'd even watch season 4, but I think it's better.
I've felt for a while that the weakest storyline in the series was Eleven's. That does continue in this season, IMO. The storylines with the rest of the kids, including the new characters, are awesome.

I love Eddie! I knew guys like him back then. I liked the scenes in the upside down. I was also surprised by one and who he is.

I love Eddie too! Yup, he is bringing back nostalgia. So good! I also am enjoying Robin's charactor.
So glad you have mentioned that it drags in places. It hasn't kept my attention as in previous seasons. And it's less scary (for now).

I think it's nasty how Netflix split this season to ensure that their second quarter earnings won't be as bad. I'm really thinking about dropping them.

I think it was the whole mall era nostalgia that really appealed to us. Plus, I loved seeing Steve in his sailor uniform! And we got Robyn. My husband did comment that this season has less of an 80s feel to it.

Yeah, there are certain things that they say or do that take me out of the 80's timeline. For example, someone says 'we are just processing what you are saying' and I think that no one would have said that back then, I feel like that's a very now thing to say.

Very disappointed in The Floor is Lava. We watched two episodes and decided that was enough. They changed it up too much and now they have this big climb up a volcano at the end. The rooms don't look like "rooms" as in the past. And am I mistaken or weren't you not allowed to touch the lava at all because it is lava?

Me too! I watched two episodes last night too. Why do they change things that are working? I don't like the exit passes, the funny dances they have to do, etc. And that dumb final volcano challenge. It was kinda perfect how it was.
I don't remember the not touching lava rule, but it did feel to me when someone had their whole legs in the lava that it was wrong. I mean, it's lava.

Really enjoyed The Lincoln Lawyer and was shocked that my beloved and holy TV Guide had it in the Jeers portion of their Jeers and Cheers section. Why? Started watching Bosch based on all the recommendations from posters and finished season 1 and am in the middle of season 2.

I loved the first season of The Floor is Lava and was very eager to watch season two, imagine my disappointment when there were only 5 episodes when season one had 10 episodes. I was surprised that they changed the format of the show. Was it necessary? I don't know. I thought the season 1 escape rooms were difficult enough that they didn't need to change anything except present new rooms. I did feel that the contestants were a lot dumber season 2 vs season 1. There was a lot more teamwork season 1. Also many people do not have upper body strength and the monkey bars are a huge challenge as well as some of the body bag swings. This is not America Ninja Warrior these are regular people. As for the lava. With all the lava bubbling and spurting upwards and onto all the features in the room if it was real everyone would be dead so I am OK with a leg or hand dipping into it.

I think it's nasty how Netflix split this season to ensure that their second quarter earnings won't be as bad. I'm really thinking about dropping them. I think we can blame AMC for pioneering that nonsense. IIRC, they did it first with Mad Men - splitting a season and doing the whole, "mid-season finale" nonsense. At least we only have to wait 5 or 6 weeks for the rest of ST. I remember a season of MM where we waited at least a year for the rest of the episodes. Sorry, but that's two seasons, not one.
I'm not to the point of canceling, but maybe if they keep canceling shows I like, I may change my mind.

Tonight we watched Military Wives
Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan played well off each other, it kept a nice balance between being the wives of partners in Afghanistan, and bringing women together when they needed it most . It's a true story, and this choir, inspired many more across the country. Very enjoyable.

Anyone watching the Warren Jeffs documentary Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey? We have one more episode to go. I knew a lot about this but it is still shocking. That man is sick and those people are brainwashed.

Ugh, I don't think I can stomach watching a man and his cronies build and live out their sex fantasies with young girls all under the guise of it being a religion. From my understanding the elders looked as their sons as potential mates for all the wives so they basically kicked them out when they got old enough.
