Blonde - I made myself sit through this just to see what all the fuss was about. It was hideous. Lurid, joyless, and massively disrespectful, I cannot understand how this trash got a 14 minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. And even though some scenes were particularly disgusting - the vagina cam/abortion stuff and scene with Kennedy, especially - it didn't deserve an NC-17 rating. Someone basically decided to make a three hour horror film loosely based on her life and call it "art."
Morbius - Jared Leto and Matt Smith play two really ugly vampires. Wasn't too bad, a good popcorn movie.

This woman had so much crap to deal with when alive, we need to just let her rest in peace.. peace she never found while alive. Sigh.. I will get around to Morbius, I love Jared and know it is one end of the spectrum with him it is either Oscar worthy or trashy, but fun trash, not much in between lol. I am still trying to get over this Covid BS and i have my finals week this week for school so maybe I will veg next week and watch some good crap movies and think about nothing

Guilty, a movie with Jake Gyllenhaal. Engrossing storyline, thrilling plot development, surprising ending..... what more could you want? And, oh, there's Jake!

I didn't watch the MOLE until the very last season. And I LOVED it. Then several months ago, DH and I watched the 1st 2 seasons with Anderson Cooper on Netflix. And he liked it too

We just created a thread for The Mole in Other Reality Shows, so people can discuss and enjoy without leaking spoilers to others who come into this thread and may not watch it right away...

The 7th episode is its own show - it’s not a clip show or anything like that. There was talk that they might make a movie. Don’t know if that will ever happen. Would be fun to catch up with the girls ten years in their future if they did.

Kleo. So bloody crazy good. Literally. Yes, I loved the Kleo. If you really liked it newsboi I strongly recommend "The Lives of Others" as it deals with Stasi, spying, and artists and I think you would enjoy it.

I just started watching The Watcher on Netflix. On episode 3 now. Great cast... loving Naomi Watts in the lead & Stiffler's mom as her old friend/ realtor. Super creepy so far, can't wait to see what the deal is.

Dahmer - Yikes, it was disturbing. I knew some background on the story but just nuts. Very sad. I thought Evan Peters did an amazing job. Loved Niecy Nash.
The Watcher - A family moves into a house and as the title says, they start being watched. Creepy, creepy and more creepy. I wish there was more resolution on the last episode but still thought it was good. Some twists and turns. I was surprised how some parts were pretty funny when they probably shouldn't have been. It's very much a lesson on how NOT to keep up with the Joneses. I enjoyed it.
Midnight Club - A hospice filled with teenagers meet at midnight to tell each other scary stories and supernatural things start to occur. I have really enjoyed Mike Flanagan's work. He did, "Midnight Mass", The Haunting of Hill House", The Haunting of Bly Manor" so my hopes were high on this one. I was disappointed a bit as it had a different vibe then the rest of the other shows he has done. I still enjoyed it, but if you're looking for super creepiness or scariness then you won't find it. But still, I thought the development of many of the characters was well done. As a kid I used to read Christopher Pike young adult mystery books, and this was based on one of his books.
RRR - This is an Indian action drama. Two real life revolutionaries fighting against many obstacles. I LOVED it. I smiled, laughed, cried. It was beautiful and silly but one of the best movies I have seen this year. The visuals are gorgeous. There is some controversary on how "historically" accurate it is, but I thought it was wonderful.
Peaky Blinders (Season 6) - I finally got around to watching this. I've loved this show, every season has been fantastic. I thought the episodes ran a little long and seemed to drag here and there, but the ending made up for it. I thought it was a fitting ending. I know a movie is being made so I am excited for that. I will miss the hot mess of the Shelby family.
The Devil in Ohio - A girl is found with a marking on her back and a doctor in the hospital takes her in. Then chaos begins. This was a show I binged in one day. I was fully creeped out by a lot of it. I can't say it was great, but if you want the feeling of 'what the hell did I just watch', then this will be perfect. The ending surprised me and it's one of those shows that I still think about here and there. Even though I don't really want to lol.

Last Seen Alive - kidnapping thriller with Gerard Butler. Not bad, even though I didn't like the wife and didn't care if she was found. Sins of Our Mother - true crime doc about doomsday cults and messy, awful people. I remember this one being in the news not too long ago. Old People - residents of a retirement home go on a murderous rampage. The movie tried to make a point about how old folks are treated, but it got lost in the silliness. Derry Girls, season 3 - loved it! I'll miss this one... Mr. Harrigan's Phone - based on a Stephen King story, it was more thoughtful than scary. I enjoyed it. The Midnight Club - I really wanted to love this like I have everything else Flanagan has done, but...meh. It was all tedious teen drama with a few jump scares. At least it had a good 90's soundtrack.

I also didn't like the wife and would of much preferred him to come over to my house instead of look for her hahaha. Also agree with Midnight Club - I really, really wanted to love it... but I found myself doing other things when it was on which is not what I did with Flanagan's other shows. The soundtrack was great.

Super creepy so far, can't wait to see what the deal is. We got through the first episode and decided to skip the rest. It felt too formulaic for us. There is a really good story there and maybe it would have been better served as a movie or a three part series, seven seems too much. Its a shame because it looked interesting and I love the cast. We stumbled upon The Curse of Bridge Hollow. Family friendly horror that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Nothing earth shattering but fun.

I have heard a bit more about it after watching the series (I had already known the story for the most part). It is even worse. Count me in as one who will miss Derry Girls. It was such a fun show.

Wasn't A Man Called Ove on Netflix years ago? There is a new Tom Hanks film, A Man Called Otto, and they describe premise sounds very familiar. They mention the book, but not the previous film.

The Watcher - this was so fun! And creepy. And...sometimes funny? Loosely based on a real life story, I couldn't stop watching and tore through all seven episodes. Bobby Cannavale and Jennifer Coolidge were fantastic, but really the whole cast was great. I read that the police had to block the house off because so many dummies are driving out there causing a scene.

Oh...thanks. I just had a knee jerk reaction that the new movie is a Tom Hanks vanity piece. Like, why does it need to be redone?
