The Watcher - this was so fun! And creepy. And...sometimes funny? Loosely based on a real life story, I couldn't stop watching and tore through all seven episodes. Bobby Cannavale and Jennifer Coolidge were fantastic, but really the whole cast was great. I read that the police had to block the house off because so many dummies are driving out there causing a scene. We're on #5, and have guessed everyone and their dog. It's fun!

Somebody Feed Phil (season 6) - Phil is really stepping up his game, with some visually stunning locations but still the great love for mostly simple, even street food. He's so full of joy (as is wife Monica Horan, who I can brag that I was in college with) that even if the food they're tasting isn't exactly exotic or even particularly special, they make it seem like a really enjoyable experience. The running theme of paying tribute to his late parents was really touching, and really funny when he would have comedian friends call in and tell him jokes that they know his dad would have loved. It's a really nice watch, only 6 episodes and it goes by quickly.

28 Days Haunted - one of the dumbest things I've ever watched. Full of embarrassing paranormal "experts," goofy electronics with lots of flashing lights, and plenty of cringe. Don't bother.
The Stranger - now this was good. A creepy, unsettling thriller with Joel Edgerton and Sean Harris, both fantastic.
Unsolved Mysteries, volume 3 - here's a mystery: why is Netflix being so stingy and releasing only 3 episodes a week? Boo.

Watched "The Good Nurse." Most interesting thing about it was seeing Eddie Redmayne NOT as Newt Scamander. Did well on the American accent, but there really wasn't much drama for a movie about a nurse who was a serial killer.

Started watching the "Cabinet of Curiosities" and I love it! It's everything that was great about shows like "Tales From The Darkside" and "Creepshow." Del Toro did a great job curating these directors for this collection of short stories.

Tonight we watched The Good Nurse, it' was more of a psychological thriller for us. Chastain is especially good, I felt we were watching a tired nurse, in bad health, who in spite of that, was very brave.Redmayne played Cullen, as Cullen was seen in the news. I found his acting, as usual, excellent.I never pitied Cullen, the devious killer, it's just astounding they never found out the why, he did it. I think the movie leaves that up to us, the viewer. I think you have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy this movie, and I can see why some may not enjoy it at all. For us, it's

Phil is so enjoyable to watch—so real and humble and engaged with all the people he encounters. I used to really enjoy the conversations with his parents at the end, so I’m happy to hear that he’s found a way to pay tribute to them. I look forward to watching.

I watched the first two episodes of The Watcher and I would have noped out of buying that damn house the minute I met that old lady and her brother banging on about dumbwaiters. They also spent money they didn't have to buy it? I vaguely remember this case when it happened and all I have to say is people have way too much time on their hands!

Inside Man.
I love David Tennant, so of course, he doesn't let you down in this, and the wonderful Stanley Tucci definitely needs a season two.! ( please)

I'm Baaaack! The new tier with ads is 6.99 which is $3 less than what I was paying before. Now I can watch GBBO and catch up with all of you before the finale night. Scrolling through I didn't realize I was missing so many shows I watched over and over again.

Just finished the first episode of The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself and I'm actually hooked! It's a completely original story dealing with witches, curses, and whether or not someone's blood is an indicator of future behavior. If the rest of the series is as good as the first episode that will be time worth spent.

Is anyone watching the newest season of THE CROWN? Curious to your thoughts on this season. We watched episode one last night. It didn't hold my attention like the first season did. I love Imelda Staunton, but Claire Foy will always be the best Queen for me. Maybe it's because her majesty queen Elizabeth has past, I'm not as eager to watch ( binge) and the casting doesn't seem as good, except for Diana. Have you watched Kar?

I love IS as well but CF was an AMAZING Queen. Dominic West as Charles ..... naaaa. Diana is PERFECT.

I can't stand Morton, in RL or acting..lol .

Cabinet of Curiosities - these were so good, I hope they do more next year. Manifest - this is the goofiest show but I can't stop watching. Binged all ten episodes this week and I'm ready for the rest. All Quiet on the Western Front - not a feel-good movie by any means, but other than a few issues, I think overall the movie was fantastic. Some of the battle scenes are pretty brutal, so be warned. The Crown - just started season 5 and I have to agree with the other comments, this one isn't grabbing me like previous seasons. Hopefully it gets better.

I had forgotten about the 1979 version, which I think was probably quite forgettable. I was thinking about the 1930 version that was already a classic movie when I was young. It was a pretty good movie that won the Oscar for best picture the year it came out.

My mother, who lives with us now, and I semi-binged the Crown over 3 days. It was OK. I know it makes sense to change cast as everyone gets older, but I miss Claire Foy terribly. The episode I found most interesting was the one about George V not recuing the Russian Czar and family. I also enjoyed the Dodi Fayed origin story episode.
I had assumed this episode would end with Diana's death.

The Fayads don't interest me at all, did they mention Dodi was allegedly ( although well documented) a real party boy, who enjoyed cocaine? I'm with you, I miss Claire Foy, obviously she couldn't play this part all the time, but having watched the real RF after the Queen passed, I found The Crown sadly lacking. I'm happy to have Yellowstone back tonight.

I am all over Yellowstone tonight, FannyMare. DH is out of town for a few days and I have strict instructions not to say one word about it to him until after he watches.
They did show Dodi doing likes of coke. I did not know much about him and now wonder how on earth he ended up with Diana. It was implied in the show that she had a thing for middle eastern men
