I am all over Yellowstone tonight, FannyMare. DH is out of town for a few days and I have strict instructions not to say one word about it to him until after he watches. They did show Dodi doing likes of coke. I did not know much about him and now wonder how on earth he ended up with Diana. It was implied in the show that she had a thing for middle eastern men Diana was seeing a very nice doctor, a doctor Khan, and saw a lot of his parents in Pakistan. Dodi was asked to leave the set of Chariots of fire, for supplying cocaine. Strange.. We can't watch Yellowstone tonight, we don't have paramount. Enjoy!

Dodi was a playboy, for sure, but he was also well-educated and quite talented (though also controversial) in his career. Did you know he was the Executive Producer of Chariots of Fire? (I had no idea, but I was curious to know more about him, so I googled him).
On a different front, I didn’t realize that his mother was the sister of Adnan Khashoggi, the notorious arms dealer, which can’t have made the royal family very happy. Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist who was assassinated by the Saudis was his cousin. Who knew?
P.S. Just saw what Fanny posted about him being asked to leave the set of Chariots of Fire. Wikipedia didn’t mention that part. LOL

Wikipedia didn’t mention that part. LOL Chariots of Fire producer David Puttnam recalled in 2012 that he threw the executive producer off the set for allegedly giving the cast cocaine. “Dodi had other things on his mind than developing a film career for himself, of which girls and drugs rated pretty highly—and not necessarily in that order,” he said. www.townandcountrymag.com/society/money-and-power/a41819571/dodi-fayed-movie-producer-chariots-of-fire-the-crown/

Cabinet of Curiosities - these were so good, I hope they do more next year. Manifest - this is the goofiest show but I can't stop watching. Binged all ten episodes this week and I'm ready for the rest. All Quiet on the Western Front - not a feel-good movie by any means, but other than a few issues, I think overall the movie was fantastic. Some of the battle scenes are pretty brutal, so be warned. The Crown - just started season 5 and I have to agree with the other comments, this one isn't grabbing me like previous seasons. Hopefully it gets better. Count me as not a big fan of Cabinet. I liked a few of the stories but was not pleased with the others, especially the Lovecraft adaptations. Too much change of the stories which were good as they were. We have one more to see, The Murmuring. All Quiet.... we should have watched that instead of Nope on blu-ray, which was not good. I never saw the 70s version but I have seen the silent and it was amazing. My husband never saw either version and I just know he would like it. I think we will make it a point to watch it this coming weekend.

Finished watching The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself and enjoyed it immensely. If you like urban fantasy this series is a win-win. I really wish Netflix did a better job promoting their shows not Strange Things because it's really worth the watch.

^^^^ I had to get up at 2 this morning and since this peaked my curiosity I turned it on. I made 2 episodes before I really needed sleep, but this is on my list. WTH was that "surprise" at the end of epi 2?

Just a heads-up; some scenes can get very intense.

Where the Crawdads Sing - I was afraid this was going to be too Hallmark movie-ish, but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this one quite a bit. Loved the ending...

Yes, the intense scenes were intense. I'm confused, though, were they setting up for a season 2, because quite of few of the loose ends were tied up in the last episode.

Right now they are waiting to see if it will be renewed. If so, they have something to go forward with. If not, it ended at a place where fans can have closure.

He received the blood from his father. Did they ever show him receiving his power? That would be a whole second season.

INSIDE MAN!!!
Anytime I see anything with David Tennant bring it on.
Add in Stanley Tucci, we are enjoying this really odd but interesting murder mystery.

We've gotten through most of The Crown. I agree that the actress playing Diana resembles her more than most of the cast resemble the person they're playing.
But I find her height to be distracting. In real life, the actress in 6'3" tall (Diana was 5'10"). The way the actress has to constantly scrunch down and contort her neck so she can look up at people through her eyelashes is just odd to me. It's Diana overdone.
Dominic West as Charles? Nope.
Imelda Staunton looks most like the character she's playing, but Peter Morgan sure doesn't seem to have liked QE2.

He received the blood from his father. Did they ever show him receiving his power? That would be a whole second season. No they didn't. Nathan was looking at Soul's heart at the end so it's like will he eat it and become like his father?
Plus there's that business with Jessica and the Memory Witch. One likes to hurt people and the other likes to cause chaos. Who knows what awfulness the two can come up with?
Then there's Gabriel. His home was trashed, plus he can't go back to the Memory Witch. What will happen to him?
Then there's Annalise and her dreadful, powerful power. Who knows how many witches would want to kill her to eat her heart and gain that power?
I want a Season 2!

Christina Applegate was diagnosed with MS while the show was on hiatus. She's gained 40 lbs. and has difficulty standing. But she insisted on soldiering on filming this final season.

Yes, Punkin I have read about her struggle. EXCITING NEWS for Christina is she was just HONORED in Hollywood with her STAR on the WALK OF FAME. And right beside her through all the pomp and circumstance was her "partner in crime" on "DEAD TO ME", Linda Cardellini. Hubby and I are loving S3!!!

I love the guy with the photogenic memory.

We are really enjoying 1899. I do have problems with some historical aspects but it intriguing. I'm interested to see where it goes.

Watched The School for Good and Evil with Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington. It was good, but loooong (2 1/2 hrs). They either should have cut it down some more, or turned it into a miniseries.

I just finished binging Wednesday. It is intense! And funny. I watched it last night. LOVED it. I could not stop watching. Is it wrong of me to say Thing is my favorite character??? I will miss Gwendolyn Christie, gawd she looked gorgeous as Principal Weems . Such a far cry from her Brienne of Tarth days. I read that this show is the first time she felt comfortable and beautiful in her body on TV and it makes me happy to hear she does feel that way in this role but sad because it is the first time. I have always thought she was beautiful it was too bad that so many people had the GoT first impression of her. Overall well done Tim Burton, it is a wonderfully fun show.

I agree, Principal Weems is BEAUTIFUL and I was indeed glad for GC to have a series where her beauty shines. Is that Christina Ricci as the school dorm Mom? Behind that wig and glasses it was hard to tell. I am only into E1. I need to watch more (tonight). All in All a FUN FUN series.

Yes, that is Christina Ricci. I knew she was in this, but I thought she had a much smaller role based on what I had read. I’m glad to see that it wasn’t as small as I anticipated.
