The Crown (season 5) - good, but not my favorite season of the series. RIPD 2 - not nearly as fun and snappy as the original with Ryan Reynolds, but it was okay. Dead to Me (final season) - why did nobody tell me I'd need tissues for this one? I'll miss this series. The Wonder - a drama set in 1862 Ireland about a young girl who stops eating but remains miraculously alive and well. Very well done film, I enjoyed it.

Their friendship, plus everything that has happened to Christine in RL. The Wonder was also very good.

DEAD TO ME ........ so sad. Everything coming to an end. And Judy. At least Jen (CA) was happy with her new baby Joey and her sons and Ben.

Starting last week, I've been streaming a lot. I think it's the whole cold winter thing. I finished Manifest. It's weird, but I like it a lot. I thought this was going to be the final season, but at the end of the last episode it clearly wasn't done. Then there was a message saying to come back in 2023 for the end. Next was Season 5 of the Crown. Just like 2 seasons ago, I had to get used to the new cast. That takes some time. I like them a lot. Some of them I like more than last time, some less. Once again they chose a great Queen. Imelda Staunton is great as QE2, and Jonathan Price is great as Prince Philip. I'm having a hard time with Dominic West as Charles, but I guess he's OK. Elizabeth Debecki is much better as Diana than the last one. I felt the last one always seemed like she was cowering, and so small. Diana was a tall woman, and stood tall & proud. She may have been insecure, but covered very well. I just didn't get that from the previous Diana. Glad she's gone. As someone else said, the way the new Diana had to keep contorting her head in order to look up, bothered me a lot. I liked the new Princess Margaret better. I love Helena Bonham Carter in everything else she does, but she just didn't fit Margaret. In 2 whole seasons I just never could see her as Margaret. Unfortunately Margaret & Princess Anne looked way too much alike. I had a hard time telling them apart. The new Camilla is way better too. The previous one was just too feminine & girly for Camilla. This one fits her look way better. Now I have to wait at least another year to pick it back up. Lastly, I finally started Yellowstone. I'm only on Episode 5 of Season 1, but so far I like it.

I'm so jealous you get to watch Yellowstone, the final season isn't ready for us to watch, and I'm chomping at the bit, pardon the pun. We started Echoes, and while I love a good twist, I cannot follow it.

Oh I love YELLOWSTONE!! MissScarlet , it just gets better and better. FannyMare , bummer ..... well when you do get it, you will see an intense season so far. So far 3 episodes. A lot going on with every major character. You will love it. Wait, I just realized we are on the Netflix thread .... I can see it on the Paramount channel. (Which is not a pay channel).

Exactly, we get Prime, but not Paramount. The final season will be on our Prime, once it's been on Paramount.

MissScarlet This is supposed to be the final season of Manifest. They’ve only released the first half of the season. The second batch of 10 episodes is coming in 2023. Maybe they’ll stick to the plan and end the series at 4 seasons, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they decided to renew it. The show’s gotten huge viewing numbers. IIRC, the show runners did originally plan for more seasons.

Wednesday - supernatural comedy horror show based on the Wednesday character from the 'The Addams Family'. Jenna Ortega plays Wednesday and she does a phenomenal job. This was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I noticed Tim Burton directed a ton of episodes and Christina Ricci who played Wednesday in the 1991 movie was a different character in this show. I was very entertained and hubby who doesn't like anything enjoyed it as well.

I'm enjoying Wednesday too, it's a lot of fun. Jenna Ortega is perfect, and Fred Armisen is excellent as Uncle Fester.

Why wasn't she tested, isn't that what should have happened on set. ? and sitting out until results were in.

She did test on location. The way I read it, production wanted to get started and she told them she was having symptoms, but without the test result they set up the dance scene. The test came back positive after the scene was finished and she went home.

The test came back positive after the scene was finished and she went home. IMHO if you feel lousy enough to need testing she should not have continued working until production had her results. The rapid one takes seconds when you are P then Jenna and production would have known something while waiting on a PCR test. But to feel as lousy as she stated she did; she and production should of waited until she was better than to possibly effecting the entire cast and crew.

Yeah. It kind of sounded like they were taking a "letter of the law" approach and hurrying to get the scene shot before they had a result that would shut things down but knowing full well that she was very sick. There's no way that they should have been filming that scene when she had the symptoms she did.

Wednesday - I loved this one! Excellent cast, fun story. Thing was hilarious. Season 2, please!
Bullet Train - stylish, over the top action/comedy silliness, just what I wanted this week. I'm not even a Brad Pitt fan but I enjoyed him in this.

Heartstopper won 5 Emmys at the Children's/Family Emmy Awards this weekend, including Best Teen Series, Best Actor Kit Connor, and Best Guest Actor Olivia Colman.
Season 2 just finished filming and will hopefully be out in the spring (but maybe not till summer).

I caught a show called Snacks vs. Chef. It is a cooking competition in which the chefs have to recreate iconic snack foods and then create their own spin on it. I was in bed with a cold and it was perfect to binge for the day.

The End of the F***ing World
Based on the award-winning comic book series by Charles Forsman, `The End of the F...ing World' sees two 17-year-old outsiders, James and Alyssa, embark on a road trip to find Alyssa's estranged father, who left home when she was just a child. We weren't sure at first, but Alyssa and James are oddly compelling to watch. We finished season 2 tonight, wishing there was a third. Dark British humor.

Just a quick rant: I've been a long time subscriber but I am really, really getting tired of Netflix only giving cursory attention to shows not Strange Things, getting Pikachu face when they get a loyal following but not the "numbers" and then cancelling them. They have done this to several shows I liked to watch, and what's the point in even watching a series if Netflix is just going to cancel it when it's on a cliffhanger in the first season? Seriously considering canceling at this point, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who dropped them because of this.

We watched Don't Pick Up the Phone. It was about the mysterious "police" phone calls to fast food places about employees stealing and asking management to strip search them and more. I vaguely remember the whole thing when it happened, but wow. People did all that because of someone on the phone?

And over $20, you strip search them, not to mention the sexual assaults!

It’s like an unfinished storybook.
