50 shows, and they didn't include Heartstopper or Young Royals?

We started watching season 2 of Alice in Borderland. It took us a bit to remember some of last season, but it really got going fast. This season had more of Squid Game feel to it then last season. The games are still horrible and too many people die. The first episode had a scene that would NEVER happen on TV here in the US.

50 shows, and they didn't include Heartstopper or Young Royals? Anyone who put the painfully stupid 28 Days Haunted on a "best of" list can't be taken seriously.

50 shows, and they didn't include Heartstopper or Young Royals? And they didn't include OUTLANDER in the top 50 shows either! Clearly, whoever put that top 50 list together has never watched Outlander, Heartstopper or Young Royals!

Clearly, whoever put that top 50 list together has never watched Outlander, Heartstopper or Young Royals! The list appears to be all Netflix originals and Outlander isn't one.

Isn’t Outlander on Starz? Yes, Outlander is on Starz, and it's on Netflix as well.

As I recall, I did FINALLY get Outlander on Netflix BUT after all of S6 was shown on STARZ (which I don't have).
So yes, I waited almost 6 months I believe and then Netflix finally showed it.
So Outlander does not come out anymore as a new release on Netflix.
Bravo did the same thing with the RH TRIP shows.
They show them on Peacock (which I don't have) and about 6 months later they show the RH TRIP series on Bravo.

They're original to other networks and then Netflix gets the rights to air them after the release on the original network. Outlander might be on Netflix, but it's a Starz series.
I usually just wait until Comcast has a Watchathon to catch up on Outlander. I did get (I think) six months of Starz for around $20 last year, so I was able to watch as it aired. I don't love the show the way I used to, so I'm fine to wait a while to watch the next season whenever it lands on Netflix.
Has anyone watched Pine Gap yet? My uncle told us about it because, back in the 70s when my dad was an aerospace engineer, he got an offer to go work on that satellite project in Alice Springs. Back then, AS was even more isolated than it is now and because of that and the fact that the schools weren't great, my parents opted not to go. I do think about it from time to time and wonder how my life would have been different if we'd moved to Australia. On the one hand, I could be living in Sydney or Melbourne with my hot Aussie husband and adorable children, but on the other, I could be living on a sheep station in the middle of the continent, which definitely doesn't sound as appealing.

Netflix makes determining who originated a show difficult sometimes by taking shows that were developed by, and aired on, another network and then slapping “Netflix Original’ on it so it looks like they (Netflix)are responsible for the program. For example, Derry Girls, which was made for/by Channel 4 in the UK. Netflix then bought other country airing rights to the show and listed it as a Netflix Original Series. So it can get confusing as to which network a show originally started with.

Treason A new series Treason was very good. It's British, takes place during an up and coming election. MI6, CIA,double agents and Russians made a pretty suspenseful story.

Watching this deranged anime called "The Way of the House Husband" and it's a lot of fun. It's about this ex-Yakusa-turned house husband and the messes he gets into.

I too no longer feel the same about Outlander as I did when it started. I like it still ,but it gets too repetitive. I felt the same with the books, this is where I think I stopped reading them too.

"The Guilty"
A movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal with few other actors. He plays a disgraced cop who is assigned to be a 911 operator while waiting for his hearing on something that happened 8 months previously.
I have never seen an actor so incapable of squeezing out ONE tear in multiple scenes where tears were called for. He did the "ugly cry face" and "fake cry voice" . . . but not a drop of moisture was to be seen.
Save your time.

I loved Dark and was planning on watching 1899 but now I'm not even going to bother. I heard it ends on a cliffhanger too. You can make an argument for a show not having a big enough audience like Bastard Son but 1899 was doing well. People are leaving Netflix in droves; are they not getting the hint that it's a bad idea to have these "one and done" Originals?

There was another show, Messiah, on Netflix that ended on a cliffhanger and then was canceled. We really enjoyed that show too! Was the guy Jesus? Wasn't he? Now we will never know. At least do some kind of follow up to tie up the loose ends.

libgirl2 I'd forgotten they cancelled (the very good) Messiah also. The OA was another one we loved and they just tossed it in the trash, leaving it on a cliffhanger. Santa Clarita Diet, too. Someone at Netflix better wake up, people have other streaming choices.

I know that network TV does that as well, so it isn't just Netflix, but as you said, there are plenty of choices out there. It is so frustrating. I still want to know who the guy was on Messiah!!!

Watching Kaleidoscope and I'm on the first episode and already hooked. Giancarlo Esposito is always a good time, and I also like the fact that you're encouraged to watch the episodes out of order while saving the "White" episode for last. Watch Netflix cancel this next.

Shoot, just saw they canceled 1899. We really enjoyed that! I hate this! I watched the first episode and it was intriguing, but I didn’t continue because I suspected Netflix would cancel it. I’m not even bothering with shows unless there’s a second season. This disposable content trend needs to stop.

Inside Man - a nicely done four part thriller. You can't go wrong with David Tennant and Stanley Tucci.
Hell or High Water - an excellent cops and robbers kind of western with a twist (I think Netflix took this down already!).
Glass Onion - this was a blast! I've seen reviews where people didn't like the ending, but I was fine with it.
