Since winning season 2 of “Project Runway Canada” in 2009, Sunny has continued to build his brand VAWK, by showing collections at Toronto Fashion Week and dressing celebrities like Katy Perry and Elisha Cuthbert and collaborating with Shangri-La Hotel and eBay.
Sunny has always been inspired by fashion designers with a distinct signature style – he loves Dior’s couture, Gaultier’s sense of humor, Valentino’s romance, Tom Ford for his sex and McQueen for his story and construction. He describes his own style as construction that is always feminine and is widely regarded for his innovative mix of styles and ability to produce new trends.
Sunny is excited to meet the international cast of winners on this season of “All Stars,” and can’t wait to see how he measures up.
Exactly - he could have done blue piping, a blue sash...the challenge was really to change the way we associate common associated colors. He mentioned he didn't want it to look 'Ikea' - but that was precisely the challenge!
