All Stars Goes Global - "Project Runway" winners from the U.S. and around the world compete in the first-ever fashion world championship; with guest judge Debra Messing.
NOTE: In case you're looking around the grid for the show, this is the last season of PR that will air on Lifetime before the show moves back to Bravo for new seasons later this year.
Enjoy the show!

I wonder when this was taped. Any ideas?
I like seeing the international winners. Some fresh perspectives!
I watched some moments of Anthony's win of the PR All Stars before, and even though I like him, I wasn't really sold on his win. Was it the judging, and will we get something wonky in this one too?
This episode has them inspired by their heritage, which has been interesting. I didn't like Jasper/UK's look, nor Seth Aaron's. Many of the looks really were blah. I thought Irina's was going to have pants or something with her coat -- oh man! She was bottomless! I did like Dmitry's dress, even though zigzags and peek-a-boo areas aren't my favorites; it was still very pretty and interesting.

Weird ending: instead of eliminating the bottom two, they kept them and ADDED two more designers! What? So many people to keep track of.
I understand about giving that UK guy another chance, since he was grieving for his grandma, and his look was obviously a mess. Anya's though, wasn't horrible -- simple design but her fabrics were cool. So. .. they get another shot at it, and hopefully can turn things around.

I thought that was bizarre too. Adding two designers? Didn't make any sense.
I've never really loved Dmitry's designs and I never understand why the judges love him so much. I see that he has taste, but, to me, nothing ground breaking. It looks like Anya hasn't really grown as a designer, which is sad because I really love her. I thought the Canadian who did the red jacket should have won.

I enjoyed this as there were just great designs for the most part. While I felt sorry for SA, life does go on and using the death as an excuse for submitting sheer crap was unacceptable. If he was unable -- as a professional-- to get past the death, then he should have left the show.
The ending was just strange. Did they intend to not drop anybody as they did, or did they not want to drop SA? But to bring in 2 more designers out of the blue was odd.

How disappointed am I that "Miss Can't-Sew" is on? Very!
I really didn't see how the buttons on the Canadian outfit is costumey. It was perfect all the way around! He should put a price tag on it right now now!
I didn't know Irina was from Kentucky! That chicken costume tho!
I do like the all-winners all-stars theme. I hope to see the same in Survivor and in other shows!

I've been to Native American pow-wows before and seen the gorgeous costumes they make for their dancing. Shame on Anthony Ryan for sending that mess down.
I also wondered if they planned on adding the additional designers from the beginning? Did they just use Anthony's grief as a convenient cover?
I was kind of disappointed in Michelle. She mumbled something about being from the Northwest. She doesn't know anything at all about her family origins? Nobody in her family told stories about where they came from? I lived near Seattle for several years. There are several Native American reservations in Washington State. There is also a sizable community of Russian descendants who fled from the Revolution or the Soviet Union. Even if Michelle truly knew nothing about her origins, she might have used some of the ethnic influences from where she lived.
Hated the chicken suit. I laughed when that judge said it looked like something from Chick-Fil-A. I'm down here in the South where CFA is big, and she was so right!
Normally I like the masculine look on women, but that red jacket was just too literal. So much for blind judging. Anybody could have guessed that jacket was made by one of the Canadian contestants.

I didn't love that red coat thingie, but I respected her for taking a chance and going big. I liked it early on, but the hood did make it look a bit chicken-y. I didn't realize until judging that it was cashmere. WOW.
I'm a Dmitry fan and I loved his dress! It was lovely in velvet, but I'd wear it in cotton. LOVED IT. That embroidery and the colors were perfect.
I agree with the judges that the gold buttons were too much on that red Canadian mountie-inspired coat. It was too derivative and costume-y with those giant gold buttons. With another color - red or even black - it would be been more high-fashion. The rest of the jacket was stunning.
It only took me a few minutes to roll my eyes at Alyssa and remember the gossip items about what a PITA she was during filming. I always thought she was a strange choice to host.

I will admit that I was impressed with the actual sewing and material choice. It would have looked lovely without that hood.
Dmitri's dress was my favorite And he wasn't kidding. Velvet is not an easy material to work with, which is why I admired him even more.
That's weird about Milano being a pain. Back when All Stars began, she gave an interview to TV Guide where she sounded like the opposite. She said loved watching PR and so was thrilled when they asked her to host AS. She also said the only part she didn't like was having to tell the losing designer they were being eliminated. Many times, she said, she cried because hated being mean like that.
I almost had to ask you what PITA means. I kept thinking of the animal rights organization.

Once again, I'm wondering how fair this competition really is when Seth Aaron, Dmitry, and Antony Ryan have been All Stars winners in the past. What is Anya even doing on this show? Still doing the same designs she did in her season, still doesn't know how to sew sleeves, hasn't sewn anything in 6 years...it's ridiculous. I would much rather see a contestant who is still doing actual design work in her slot. It bugs me when people try to make themselves seem a little more exotic by bragging about the .0000000000026 percent of Native American they are despite knowing next to nothing about the culture and without having to go through the hardships these groups have faced. It's an insult and predictable at this point; it's always "on the mothers side" and it's always Cherokee (probably because that's the only tribe they've heard about). I also noticed that they made a point of not sharing his DNA results. While I felt extremely bad for him to have to compete days after his grandmother died, that mess he sent down the runway had absolutely nothing to do with the Cherokee Nation or even NA in general. Shame on him. I think Seth Aaron completely ignored the challenge directions and simply sent down whatever the hell he wanted, and I absolutely loved it. It was chic and exciting, and his model worked it on the runway. Likewise Sunny Fong also ignored the directions and sent down a lovely retro dress. I also loved Irina's chicken suit; it was unusual, bold, and looked great on the runway. I also liked the Mounties outfit as it was well-cut and beautifully put together but the brass buttons made it look costumey and brought the whole look down. On the other hand, Dmitry's look referenced his culture without being a costume and it worked. I can see why the judges praised it so. Michelle. I remember loving her clothes (and hating her personality) in the past and she's still the same with unnecessary, nasty snark towards Irina and the Mountie Guy. Apparently all that hating caused her to lose focus because she sent down the runway what looked like a tailored men's shirt with a cropped sweater on top. I would have placed her in the bottom 3 with Anya and Anthony Ryan. Meh at no one going home, because in my opinion both Anya and Anthony Ryan should have been axed. Yes to 2 more competitors. I'm excited to see what's going to happen next week.

Excellent point about claiming being a Native American and not understanding the hardships or having any connection whatsoever. I think it's weird to think being from a different heritage is cooler than others. Funny, a lot of people on twitter noticed that they didn't share his DNA info as well.
I would have done a cable knit sweater dress with a fun neckline/collar for my Irish heritage.

I would have been fine with Anya going home -- her design wasn't on the same level as anyone else's and her skills don't seem to have improved a whole lot.
I would have been sad if Anthony Ryan left, but I would have understood it. I was almost expecting him to bow out, based on how stricken he was the whole time. I don't know if keeping him around was the best thing for him. I guess we'll see.
I liked Django's look with the white draping, although it wasn't seamlessly done. I liked Sunny's gold/black number also.
I think Dimitry won mostly because he was the only one to have a decent vision AND execute it professionally with no glitches.
Two new designers? I like Sean, so fine, it's all-winners so why not. It means the season will probably be a little longer than we thought.
I have always found Seth Aaron somewhat annoying, lol.

Oh! I forgot how much I liked Sunny's. I also think that Dmitri won because it would sell better commercially at JC Penny where as the Canadian jacket not a lot of people could wear. Although I would buy it in a heartbeat!

I had really mixed feelings when I saw that she had been invited back. Yes, she's a talented designer, but like you said, I did not appreciated her nasty attitude. Also, I remember towards the end of her season she wore a see-through blouse with no bra. She said that she would send her models down the runway dressed like that except the prudes in the audience would object too much. I really did not appreciate that.

Very annoyed at the bare bones, cheap direction Lifetime has taken their website in. I went there today hoping to get closer looks at the runway designs and they only have a biography of each contestant and (if you sign up for it) the opportunity to watch the episode online. There isn't any recaps, preview clips or designs, and it's terrible.

I went to the JC Penney website to look for Dmitry’s dress and, although Google returns a url for PR on the JCP site, it redirects to women’s apparel. No PR clothing I’d totally wear that dress!

The puffy red jacket, cape, flower petal creation was my least favorite of the group. It felt too busy, and too much fabric to have to keep moving out of your way.
My favorite was the black garment with the gold criss-cross pattern on top.
I'm glad Sean is joining the show. I liked his designs from the past.
Michelle can go home already. I remember her from before. Didn't like her designs. Didn't like her personality.

Earlier this afternoon JC Penney tweeted, "Season 7 of Project Runway All Stars was taped before our collaboration with the show ended. We will not be producing the Season 7 winning looks from the show’s designers and apologize for any confusion this may have caused."

OMG, no way Lifetime didn't know this! How horrible for those designers because they said that all the winning looks from this season would be available on the JC Penney site. This makes both JC Penney and Lifetime look bad.

Isn't it a little weird that Lifetime didnt put a disclaimer on the screen to let viewers know they designs wouldn't be available?
My daughter was looking for the design and we were wondering why she couldn't find it.
How long ago was this filmed that the information changed from producing/not producing the winning look?

What I don't understand is if this is the case why not edit out them saying that the winning looks will be available on JC Penney? Even more importantly, why didn't Lifetime renew their contract with them? Both things would be a relatively easy thing to do. I call shenanigans on both Lifetime and JC Penney.

Well that's disappointing, especially for the designers. Presumably, that will continue to be a prize for winning designers on challenges going forward. ITA, they definitely should have - and could have easily - edited that statement out of (possibly) each episode) even if they kept the stuff about JCP being involved with the show.
I've never been a big fan of JCP. I generally never find anything there that I like, but the few things I bought there over the years ended up being pretty poorly made.

JCPenney has improved in the last year. I like it for basic pieces.
I do not know who all these designers are; and I do not have a feel for them. Canada was suppose to represent Canada. So I guess that was good. But it would not have done well it the US. They look at things up close. So the uneven topstitching on the blue apron outfit would have been bad.

I finally got to watch the show and honestly I felt they kept Anya and Anthony Ryan (AR) based on their past experience with them - which of course puts the non USA version winners at a disadvantage. I liked Anya's dress.
