Devilish Desserts - Seven chefs remain. First, guest judge and renowned pastry chef/chocolatier Valerie Gordon cracks down hard on both teams' take on dessert. Then, dinner service starts without a hitch, until...
The women are thoroughly destroying the men in services, and it just makes my schadenfreude cup overflow to the point of spilling. Trev was irritating, yes, but the rest of his team only exacerbated things by putting him down instead of trying to back him up. Bret is a clown and a jackass and I just wish he'd go next. Motto can follow him out too, he's become a jerk as well and despite his talent, he's such a non-entity that I sometimes forget he's there.
On the women's side, I've never liked Heather, but she's been really obnoxious lately. Last episode with getting uppity on how Kanae "should've told her to plate nicer", and now in this episode with three instances; first by being such a sourpuss during the reward despite her team winning, second by being so rudely illogical in stating that Mia should be able to cook and taste things she's allergic to (and even then Mia still cooked those risotto correctly even after Ariel had moved on to garnish), and then with stating that Kanae shouldn't be there for not checking if her fish was cooked just by touch, when Heather herself overcooked meat and then Mia had to check by touch if it was cooked or not during the re-fire.
Honestly, I just wish there would be this proper culling and just skip to a final three of Mia, Kanae and Ariel. Things seem to be pointing at an Ariel victory, but I hope Mia can pull it off, been rooting for her from the start, plus I remember liking her too when she competed on Chopped some time back.
