Benedict Canyon is burning ... that's where Lisa built her home!

The Los Angeles area is very hilly, and the hillside brush (which is all around every hillside home) is so vulnerable to burning, especially in years like this one, when the brush is so dry because of the rain shortage. And some fires are so needless --- this one was apparently caused by a malfunctioning weed-wacker, of all things.

I lived in LA, on and off, for most of my life, and although it is a very beautiful place, with wonderful weather, the natural disasters of fires, floods, and earthquakes are something that residents just have to live with --- all the time. It can be very stressful to live with these (and other dangers) that can happen at any time. You just have to always be ready for whatever happens

There were no homes lost in the Benedict Canyon fire a week ago. Luckily, the fire departments and helicopter drops were able to keep the fire under control. There were fire trucks stationed in almost every cul-de-sac where homes are tucked up against the hills. Everyone was lucky as it could have been a disaster. Most of the homes in that area are multi-million dollar large homes. There's only one narrow winding road in the area where these homes are located. Of all the roads in L.A. that go across the mountain, Benedict Canyon has always been my least favorite. Many of the homes are on stilts with only the front door on level ground--scary looking.

My first thought was the animals! Lisa and Ken moved them all..

Hmm, she's okay..I guess Lisa Rinna needed a new playmate..LOL. Actually I know little about her, she looks a lot like Teddi..jmho

My hubby and I took our son and his friend up to LA the other day (we live in San Diego now) and stumbled upon Villa Rosa and Kyle’s store as well. I had no idea they both sat right off Rodeo Drive.

Kyle’s store is cute, not too overpriced and the gals working in there were really sweet. We sat at the bar at Villa Rosa and had a light lunch, and I had a Big Pinky. Like I told the bartender, it was totally cliche. He laughed! All the staff in there were very nice, but also very pretty, as you’d expect. lol

I see Kim is on a spouse show Lovers or Liars or something like that on We starting in September.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that they don't like it one bit!!! And I don't really understand it. I like Denise Richards a lot, but her heyday is definitely behind her --- so I don't know what the big deal is about getting her on the show. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Vanderpump of course has tons of money and 2 shows on Bravo, and several restaurants being plugged on Bravo, not to mention her new pet rescue shop, (plus all of her wonderful work on behalf of the gay community in LA and her anti-dog cruelty campaign in China), so she couldn't have much to complain about. Although, I get it. It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing.

Poor Kingsley, he had  such a crappy owner..
As for Denise Richards, let's hope she's worth the money,..!

I think Denise is like Teddi..so we we will have two of them!
As for Kingsley, she might of loved the dog, but didn't he snap at the trainer? and didn't she stop all his training after that? ..the dog was too much for her..( jmho)

Well, that's the interesting thing about Denise. She DOESN'T seem to be image conscious at all. Her former reality show was very family oriented and didn't have any family conflict. She invited her widowed father to come to live with her and her young daughters, and they were all very low maintenance and unpretentious. She rarely wore any makeup (that, as a viewer, I could see), she didn't dress up much, and her house wasn't particularly 'sharp' or fashionable, it was just very down to earth and homey. 

So, with all that said, I can't see her feuding or getting into a fight with the other women (which is pretty much inevitable on the Housewives) -- I just don't see her bringing the drama that most people seem to want. For me, that's a very good thing, but for many others, it isn't.

i guess only time will tell.....
