Because it was written it must be true? Look, joining the cast was risky for Denise. She's got a lot of baggage in her background with regards to her reputation. There have even been rumors for year that she was Charlie Sheen's favorite call girl and that's how she rose to fame and eventually married him. I think it's very likely that she joined the show to bolster her career and get a jump start. She seemed to have the delusion that she could do so and put on a performance of the Denise she wanted the world to see and it would be no problem. For people on the show who are more genuine, it was a problem. Heck, if she'd watched the show a little more carefully she should have known that. I doubt Taylor wanted her husband's suicide explored nor did Kim want her addictions explored. You say how dare they to delving in to her life. They probably say how dare she use their show for something so fake. There was a really easy and simple way for Denise to keep her life private ... don't put it on TV looking for a jump start! I get it. Kyle's best-friend-for-the-moment, man-hands Teddi has proved herself accomplished, once again, in redirecting attention away from Kyle's pothead-shady-real-estate-business-practices hubby, Mauricio. Last year was about pushing out the BH's ONLY breakout star and fan-favorite Lisa Vanderpump, and this year it's about throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, into embarrassing the new girl. I still wonder which HW it was that arranged the Denise/Brandi meeting back in Season 9. For those that care, it was also during Season 9 that Brandi interviewed Denise for her podcast. Perhaps it was the same HW who pushed that meeting that also encouraged Brandi's into humiliating Denise with the affair story, persuading the not so bright Brandi into believing this was her ticket back onto the show. Oh, well.

I cannot tell a lie - every time I see "man hands" in a post, I stop reading and move on. Yup. Every time I read about Kyle, I think of her reaction to the call-in on WWHL, when she called the fan a “Maggot from Maggotville”. Clearly telling everyone what she thinks of all viewers. I'm not really clear on what that has to do with what I said, but cool. I enjoyed the first part of the reunion last night. I have to say, as silly as it seems to me when they all wear gowns in a studio for a reunion, it seems even sillier to me when they do it for a remote reunion. I think they could all wear great day wear with great hair and makeup and it would be just fine. I did laugh at the issue of Kyle interrupting people was brought up when over and over again they were all guilty of doing that. I was impressed with how direct and controlled Erica was when she was standing up to Denise. I don't think she'd ever allow one to be filmed, but I'd love to see an argument between Erica and Tom. I think they are both so disciplined with their words when it matters that they probably go toe to toe as equals.

Ok, allow me to rephrase. Teddi has thick, broad hands more commonly associated with men. Alternatively stated, Teddi's hands remind me of gloved cartoon characters such as Micky Mouse. For me, Man-hands is just a much easier way to express the obvious.
What Garcelle is outing about Kyle is Kyle phoning it in. For the first two or three seasons, Kyle was open and honest about her life. Since, seems as if she throws a large party or two and back-stabs targeted cast members to divert attention from her pothead, dishonest RE Broker husband, Mauricio.
Ratings did take a dive this season and would not be surprised to see things shaken up and Kyle and Teddi being demoted (Kyle) or cut (Teddi) completely next season.
A while back, I remember something about how Bravo hesitated, for years, from bringing Lisa Rinna on the show. I liked Rinna season 1 and the last two seasons, not at all. She has said her being a part of the Housewives is all about her QVC sales, and I find it amusing that she's now complaining that it is QVC warning her to knock off her egregious and divisive online behavior.

The issue with the man hands isn't the phrasing Amber. It's what it says to be mocking someone for something about a person that she can't do anything about. She was born with the hands she has. Unlike noses, ears, boobs and lips, there's not a lot that plastic surgeons can do for hands. So to continually mock her for the way she was born is IMO cruel. I don't have a problem mocking a bad hair style, poor choice of clothes, a choice to go overboard with breast implants. But to me, the commentary here isn't the same thing.
Wasn't Rinna the first person they cast who was a celebrity in her own right before joining the cast - albeit a lower list celebrity? If there was hesitation in adding her to the cast, I would think that would be the reason why. I remember being surprised when she was cast and unsure of what it would be like to add someone who was used to promoting herself. She played along with everyone else and has made it work, and also made it work for them to add others in the public eye. I'm glad they did because I like the addition of Garcelle.
I also agree that Kyle has gotten to a point of phoning it in, though I don't agree that it's because she's trying to cover things up. I think a person who wants to cover things up leaves the show. I think Kyle is phoning it in because she's gotten too comfortable believing that as the last original cast member she's untouchable. Across the franchises many women have crashed and burned when they started to believe they were essential to the show. Kyle no longer has the regular interaction with her daughters to give her storylines. She's no longer got fighting with Kim to give her a storyline. She's trying to maintain an image that she's really not living up to.

Ok I have a question for those that watched the REUNION .... was it difficult trying to watch them all talk via ZOOM? Were they all talking at once? I am not sure I am up for SCREAMING for 3 weeks in a row. Thoughts? Now about Teddi and viewers referring to her having "man hands" .... where did that even come from? I have never noticed her hands. Quite frankly, I am more interested in all the drama coming out of the ladies mouths than noticing their hands, noses, chins, feet, b**bs, etc etc. I do remember Kyle making fun of how Teddi walks but nothing about her hands. Who started that?

It's not difficult watching them on zoom. They all talk at the same time in person anyway

There are definitely challenges to hearing them when they're all in different locations! Some of that is just the challenge of the technology. I've been on work zooms where it is difficult because there's a slight delay so two people (or more) start talking at the same time, and it takes you more time than it would in person to realize others are talking. You also don't get the visual cues that someone is about to jump in to wait your turn.
Of course, when the reunions are in person the women tend to talk over each other, so they can't fully blame technology. But in editing it, it may be tougher to edit the sound to amplify the person that production wants to be heard.
On the flip side, I've seen some of the reunions where Andy has muted someone who is talking way too much, so it's nice that is an option. And it does make me laugh every time someone just gets up and walks away. Erica did it last night saying she needed lip gloss. The walk offs (and returns) are a lot easier, and I like that they don't stop production waiting for someone to come back.

Teddi can stop wearing jewelry that accentuates her hands. For example, Kyle's hands aren't any more delicate than Teddi's, but do we really notice that? No. Teddi is more tomboy than feminine and snarking about those we watch participating on reality tv is something we do. However, I don't agree with unnecessarily judging and calling out other forum members who may not agree with an opinion as cruel.

Good question.
Earlier this season WE watched BH cast members laughing about Teddi's manly walk. Instead of talking about referencing Teddi's man-hands, WE can talk about how Teddi walks.

Denise was not a good fit for the Housewives. I don't think anyone will miss her on the show. Most often, she was angry and argumentative, as was her husband.

What does everyone think of the rumors that Kris Jenner could join the cast now that KUWTK is ending? I hope that is nothing more than chit chat to generate publicity and NOT a real possibility. I don't think she could handle being just one of many in an ensemble. While the Kardashians may have been an ensemble, it was different and her role as queen bee was established naturally.

We still don't know for certain which Housewife it was that encouraged Denise to meet with Brandi during season 9, nor do we know why. After watching this season, my guess would be Rinna brokered that introduction to bother Lisa Vanderpump. Then, this season, Rinna decided to get rid of Denise, encouraged the desperate Brandi to humiliate Denise with the we-had-sex story along with Rinna also pushing the Denise threesome rumor.
The only reason I can think of behind Rinna's hateful behavior is greed. We know that Rinna was jealous and pushed out Lisa Vanderump because of Lisa being able to sell spin-offs to Bravo/NBC. Did Rinna go after Denise because Denise got the gig with The Bold and the Beautiful, other jobs and/or business opportunities?

I've missed a lot of episodes, so I'm catching up, when I see the scumbag herself! Why must Brandi return to this show...ever? It was bad enough, and hard enough for me to watch, when LVP left and we had the cast that we now have. After they all ganged up on LVP, couldn't stand anybody but Denise, really. Now I see Brandi and her plastic face, sitting there telling these girls all about some nasty thing she may or may not be telling the truth about. If you want to bring a show "down-market", bring in the trash. I think it is beyond tacky to bring Brandi back to tell some dirty secret about Denise, so that noses in the air (Kyle, Teddi, et al) can judge her and pick on her some more. I never saw Denise do anything that objectionable, or act like she's better than these women. They basically have no place knowing about or talking about her sex life. But Bravo made the mistake of bringing in Kim and Brandi, neither of whom have a bit of class or can even be themselves. Denise seemed to be herself, pretty much. And she wasn't a sh*t stirrer. I guess we can't have that! Just wanted to make my strong objection to this show being unable to have a season without involving ganging up on one girl, or bringing back old trash that had been left at the curb. Denise was the only one I could tolerate, now I wonder if I should even watch up to the Reunion?
ETA: Still watching, but I tend to get angrier because every time they sit down to dinner, they launch into an attack on the chosen girl. Denise, this time. Teddi is boring, stupid, judgmental, envious, and despicable. Kyle has become unbearable, and Rinna was always unbearable. I keep wondering where these women get off, thinking that each new girl (or one they want gone) MUST reveal every private thought, feeling, and confess every conversation they have ever had with anybody! The only halfway decent ppl on the show are Garcelle, Sutton, and Denise, imo. Yet Garcelle, if she doesn't watch out, is going to end up just like the others! She remarked that Denise needed to stand up for herself and put an end to the whole thing. I've seen her repeatedly try! They're like animals, they dig and dig and dig into another human being, looking for dirt or a reason to be hurt, until they drive the selected person crazy. Nothing Denise can say will ever be good enough. I wonder if these women even recognize what being in front of the cameras all the time has turned them into? I doubt it, and that is sad. There was no "reality tv" when I was growing up. In fact it did not come along until much much later. As a grown woman, I can tell you that this is just unhealthy. It has changed society to a degree, and it's very abnormal.
With covid19, we have boredom and lots of television watching. Escapism can be fine, but these Bravo shows are just too willing to destroy people for the sake of what they (and part of society) consider entertainment. I can imagine what Denise's stomach feels like each time something new is sprung on her this way, because I suffer chronic illness and severe anxiety. It can literally make you physically ill! In saving herself, Denise would be wise to just tell these witches to eff off and walk away. I'd have done it long ago, if I had "friends" who did this to me. We have young people who have been exposed to the Bravo notion of what high entertainment is, and I cannot imagine that any of it is very good for them. They may grow up into very entitled adults who are terrible people. The scary part is that I have already noticed it in twenty somethings. Lip injections when they're twenty years old and beautiful the way they are. The notion that to have a "real" career, they must make a load of money. Just the extra things they seem to "need" to live seem outrageous to me, as they are things I never would have thought about spending money on at their ages. But they are also very selfish and self absorbed. Uncaring. Not seeming to have any real empathy for the feelings of others. Even family members.
I apologize for the length of this. I'm afraid our world is changing in so many ways that it sometimes can be overwhelming. I just never fail to be shocked at these pampered, rich women who seem to have no gratitude for what they have, and the fact that they have friends. At their ages, I'd expect them to be mellowing and self searching, always a work in progress, and would become better people. The way they treat each other, and this show is particularly bad, is just horrendous. I secretly hope that the three I mentioned make an escape before Bravo turns them into monsters just like the others.
