My impression was that Erica was very honest in what she shared about their marriage last night. As was confirmed by the clips they showed, pretty much everything she said could be backed up by what we've seen over the years. Erica has always been rather honest about being a trophy wife - so I think she was genuine in talking about how she stayed as long as she did because it was nice to have nice things and a comfortable life. We saw, as reminded in the clip, the controlling "world revolves around me" side of Tom when he snapped at both Lisa and Erica for talking while he was talking - so it's not a surprise at all if Erica was expected to maintain an image that everything was wonderful. So I totally believe the story of Tom telling an associate that he could have her if he could afford her. I think that men with that kind of ego will needle each other all the time in normal conversation, and I can see where Tom would care more about getting a leg up on a man who got in a dig than he would his wife's feelings. I've always thought that the Housewives shows have a BIG underlying theme of "be careful what you wish for because you might get it" and the sacrifices Erica made for wealth shine a light on that. All that said - I do not believe that Erica told ALL of the story for a second. She's always been a rare housewife who can keep the walls up around her and get away with it. I think she was doing that last night, just like she has for all the seasons she's been around. She gave just enough to tell the story she wanted to tell, and kept the rest back. And a couple of the women are smart enough to see that. Rinna on the other hand is so afraid of Erica that she'll accept, believe, and repeat anything Erica says or does. Actually, that clip of Tom snapping at Lisa and Erika is frankenbiting. He actually expressed admiration towards Lisa during that scene. And he snapped. IMO, the worst kind of a-holes are the ones who treat people with disrespect, but then try to charm them to avoid the consequences of bad behavior.

I'm not one to find joy in someone else's downfall, but Erika has acted so superior and better than everyone else, and to find out that it was all stolen (from VICTIMS to boot) makes it really hard for me to find any sympathy for her. Especially after reading articles like Girardi's firm "loaned" her company $20 million?

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that it is necessary to be to point out the obvious. But I suppose I must be here. In the last episode, the exotic dancer, Erika, who knowingly married an asshole and has lived with the asshole for 20 years, is lying about why she is leaving the asshole. Said and done. Oh, wait. Let me add to that. I personally believe Erika is just as much of an asshole as Tom is. Birds of a feather. acookertv, why do you believe Rinna is afraid of Erika? www.realitytea.com/2021/06/24/lisa-rinna-no-empathy/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

I am just watching now. I do not believe EJ. Everything she is saying to the ladies, appears to me she rehearsed over and over again. The main reason I am saying this is because EJ is a very strong woman. She has showed that in her personality season after season. To allow Tom to speak to her like she is saying he did, if it was true, than I feel EJ would have " set him straight" way before now BUT to all of a sudden DECIDE to leave him AT THE SAME EXACT TIME the sh&t is hitting the fan with his law firm JUST DOES NOT ADD UP. For EJ to just leave him.......... naaaaa. No explanation. Just secure new apt. Leave him a note and not look back. I am 100% certain EJ knew that Tom and the law firm were IN TROUBLE. So EJ and Tom plotted out their course of action. EJ told Tom she will divorce him. Get herself an apt and leave him. Then have Tom get one of his MD friends to diagnose him with Alzheimer's and we will be fine. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VICTIMS?

Oh and one more thing.......is Sutton and Crystal's "coatgate" going to be like PK and EJ's "pantygate"??? ANNOYING. Are we going to hear about this on every epi? Crystal, I think you have learned to lock your room when staying with the ladies. Sutton, I think you have learned to not go into someone's room unless you first hear the person inside the room say "come in". OK shake hands and go to your corners.

Then have Tom get one of his MD friends to diagnose him with Alzheimer's and we will be fine. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VICTIMS? I don't think it's an either or. I think both things can be true - that Erica had reached a point that she had to get out AND that it was related to the s hitting the fan with him legally. I don't think that Erica's ice cold exterior should be mistaken for incredible strength - often times people will build up a tough exterior like that to cover great vulnerabilities inside. And while Erica had no issue with setting any housewife who crossed her straight, time and time again we saw her talking to Tom like the "Boss" asking his permission to do things, being so moved when he'd give her support. I think she got herself into a situation where she was a kept wife - she knew if she set him straight he'd replace her with an obedient wife. I still have absolutely no idea what I think on the question of what Erica knew. I could see where she'd be in on it. I could see where Tom would just do things without disclosing. There are plenty of wives out there who sign things because their husbands tell them to. As Teresa, and perhaps Erica, have shown - it's a dumb, dumb move regardless of how much you think your husband loves you.

Not allowing access to documents the courts want is not good for EJ. If she is innocent and all this is solely Tom's doing, I would think EJ would agree to work with lawyers and the courts.

Erica crafted a nice picture of her victimization on the most recent episode; much of what she said seems so true. She's smart, and has a good memory, laying it out as if it's spontaneous. When that was filmed she probably didn't know what was coming -- it was already there, with only the unfolding remaining- and still unfolding.
Looks like her problem isn't Tom; her problem very well could be Erica. And no more bought-and-paid roles on Broadway, eh?
Are any castmates actually friends of Erica? Do they despise her? Do they believe she's innocent?

I get it. It's hard to control the narrative so Erika and and Tom can keep their stuff when the media continues to bombard the public with inconvenient truths. Does it shock anyone that Erika alerted a paparazzo to show up and take photos of her pumping her own gas while looking as if she just rolled out of bed? And about the same time, Tom is attempting to remove his brother as conservator and arranged for a paparazzo to take photos of him (supposedly on a date) with the same indistinguishable, blurred face blond he supposedly has been photographed occasionally sharing a meal with since 2017? Below is a Page Six piece that highlighting the latest. Erika Jayne slams lawyer in bankruptcy case, claims she’s cooperatingErika Jayne is fighting to have a lawyer booted from her estranged husband’s bankruptcy case after the attorney filed documents alleging she wasn’t cooperating in the investigation. In new documents, obtained by Page Six, Jayne’s lawyers assert that the “RHOBH” star “has been and remains willing to cooperate fully” with the investigation and demands that lawyer Ronald N. Richards be removed from the case for making “false and inflammatory social media posts and public statements” about her. ... They also alleged that Richards “continued to harass” her “publicly through extra-judicial statements, including social media” to his over 16,000 followers and that he was engaging in YouTube interviews that harm the case. Richards told Page Six in a statement on Friday, “Not a single professional of Erika’s has cooperated with our office regarding the Girardi Keese estate. We have filed numerous motions seeking documents and communications. This motion is designed to slow down our work. The Thomas Girardi estate is moving for relief from stay to pursue her in state court. This does not look like cooperation. He added, “It is laughable to suggest that our 16,000 followers compared to Erika’s 417,000 followers in a City of 12,500,000 would somehow would have an impact on anything. The first amendment does not leave itself in the doorways of the courthouse and the motion is a transparent attempt to interfere with the Trustee’s choice of counsel. These first amendment arguments were previously raised by her other counsel and rejected. No gag order was issued. Simply submitting innocuous and inadmissible hearsay comments on publicly filed documents does not create any relevant or actionable information.” pagesix.com/2021/06/25/erika-jayne-slams-lawyer-in-bankruptcy-case-claims-shes-cooperating/

I love how Ericka’s story changes to fit whatever news comes out. She never mentioned Toms cognitive decline until it came out in the media. She never mentioned his withdrawal of affection until she needed a reason for leaving. Those mascara colored tears don’t change her ice cold exterior.

There is certainly reason to raise eyebrows and I get the suspicion. It's certainly possible that it's all a fraud. That said - Erika's trademark as a housewife was how little about her life she revealed. There are very few women who can share so little about their children, marriages, and other details of their personal lives and remain on the show, but she pulled it off by being outrageous, wearing crazy clothes and being unflappable. So while I hear you that it raises questions that she's suddenly willing to share so much, it's not like she was a Lisa Rinna like woman who shared every single detail of her life and is now changing the story. She never shared anything before - so not mentioning the ugly sides of her life is something she's shown us all along.

There are 2 bankruptcy trustees. One for the business Girardi Keese and second for Tom Girardi the person. Erika is a party to both. Obviously, she involved personally for she is married to Tom. (It is not often brought up that Erika worked at the law firm for the first 10 years of her marriage.) Erika and Tom created multiple businesses and bank accounts to pay for her "career" expenses (money going out) and those business and financial accounts acquired receipts (money going in) from multiple loans extended from Girardi Keese assets. There appears to be a paper trail and last accounting disclosed in legal documents stated that Erika's various businesses were loaned 25 million dollars. There might be more because it appears that until very recently, meaning the last month or two, she continued to receive annuity or installment payments. Since sh*t really hit the fan, my best guess is sometime in April or May 2020 when she started selling her clothes, Erika began the process of abandoning the old and created new businesses and financial accounts to continue her "career" businesses. Thus her landlord, attorneys and others have been summoned by the trustees to tell them exactly from what financial accounts is Erika paying for their services. Now, the question remains for fans to decide the answer: Did Erika begin the process of liquidating assets (selling her clothes) and severing herself from her old companies and financial accounts in preparation to leave Tom or because she and her businesses were being sued alongside with Tom and Girardi Keese? Given the timing, I'd say because she realized the jig is up.

I think that it's like what she said about the car accident - I think what she's saying is grounded in truth ... but isn't the whole truth and she knows what she's sharing is misleading. I do believe that Tom was as controlling as he was, and I do believe he cheated on her. (I'd also believe it if it were reported that she cheated on him). I think the point she made that she's always been described as the trophy wife but is now suddenly supposed to be involved in everything he did is a valid one. But I think she's laser focused on controlling the narrative and knows that the power she has over Tom is to share stories he does not want to get out - she's using that. And the pose she held with her hand up "holding back" tears when she first got to Kyle's house looked very very rehearsed. Like, I would not be surprised if she didn't have someone film test poses to figure out the best one.

Wow. I don't believe Erika is some sort of mastermind but making an idiot of herself, portraying as if a helpless victim, only because she doesn't want to lose her stuff.
Has anyone else noticed that Dorit is semi-invisible? Not as invisible as Teddi was in the second half of last season, but it's only this year's midseason. Time will tell.
The truth about Rinna and Harry may not be publicly played out this season, but will next season if she chooses to return. Is the husband gay? Is he having a long-term affair? Is he living elsewhere? No clue, but as a couple, are they broke? Knowing they are having financial struggles, puts a different spin on the Scott Disick matter and IMO lends credibility to Lisa attempting to model her future after the last decade of Kris Kardashian.
I admit to being out of it because, until yesterday after looking more closely, I had no idea that Rinna's QVC career is over. I've read she intended to branch into QVC beauty but didn't pay much attention while watching her do it on her own.
Although Rinna isn't being vocal these days, I believe the much larger core of her unpopularity stems from her treatment of Lisa Vanderpump and Denise Richards. Add that Lisa rarely wore her own QVC clothing line on the show. (I use to be a Lisa Rinna fan and always noticed what she wears on the show.)
Come to think of it, other than earlier interactions with Garcelle to advance Garcelle's storyline, isn't Rinna also semi-invisible this season? Hmm.

Rinna made light - in the report below - of the “heavily mortgaged” house, as if she of course is uber-wealthy, not really needing a mortgage. Rinna’s lifestyle looks expensive, something in the neighborhood of a couple million or more a year; she probably makes around $500k on the Bravo gig? Anyone know if the husband has income? Is he a washed up yesterday actor? What’s the Disick reference about? I never heard of him, but Rinna is fond of repeating his name over and over and over, so he must be wealthy/important/popular/worshiped? I admit to not paying close enough attention to cast member personal lives, even while I’m captivated by their on-screen craziness... but recently with the Erika fraud and Rinna rumors, I’m intrigued. And I laughed when Rinna said her Harry husband is a gourmet cook or something along those lines; then he made spaghetti and a salad for the castmates’ dinner. Rinna and Harry use to have a retail brick-and-mortar clothing business that did well until it didn't. Lisa was able to cut a deal with QVC which became their primary source of income. Housewives is just another side hustle.
Rinna and Harry refinancing their home is one thing, but tapping into equity beyond what could ever be conventionally sourced is another. Regardless of how Rinna is responding, that's what Ronald Richard's tweeted comment is about.
My guess is that after losing QVC, Rinna and Harry were forced into throwing in additional funding into Rinna Beauty production and distribution or taking a hit for what they had already invested. Suggests to me that they don't have much liquidity and/or diversification. Rinna being sued for 1.2 million because she was too cheap to hire her own photographer is just plain stupid.

I have been a FORT member forever. Other than episode summaries, that sadly doesn't happen anymore, I don't recall superficial discussions. For me, it started with the Bachelor and micro-analyzing all the various backstories to help figure out what was real and what wasn't real.
Some may not care for qualified legal commentary analyses of what is going on with Erika and Jen Shah, but I do and I carefully sift through all the garbage out there, for which there is plenty, to pluck out the occasional rational good stuff and this youtube video happens to be rational good stuff. This video is not just the good stuff, it's a timely gem.

To be perfectly honest I stopped watching this show once LVP left. I listen to recaps on the Watch What Crappens podcast. I was intrigued so I watched last week's episode on demand. Okay so now I am supposed to believe an 81 year old man with dementia got into a car accident; car was wrecked, he then fell down a cliff, was knocked unconscious for 12 hours, had a broken ankle broken shoulder and broken clavicle yet by some miracle his phone didn't break nor did he lose the phone during his accidental fall yet by some miracle he was able to call Ericka. An 81 year old man, according to Ericka, has had dementia for several years and she has been driving him to and from work daily, just happened to drive himself to work that day. An 81 year old with dementia who was also having an affair. What a steaming pile of dog poo do these 2 want us to believe. That dramatic "acting"...wow so over the top.
