I find Teresa trashy and childish. I loved Jackie saying, "you got that confidence in jail," too funny. Teresa runs away, gives the finger, the usual Perfect response. With the exception of her kids, Teresa cares only about herself. Every friendship/relationship is based only on whether she thinks that person is "loyal" to her and nothing else. No concern, caring, history, connection...she doesn't bond. She's almost sociopathic in the way she doesn't have real feelings. Look at her past; her brother Joe, Melissa, her cousins, Jackie L, even Danielle ..who she dumps when she finds out she told about her part in pulling Marge's hair. Even today, you know she can't stand Melissa but she expects complete loyalty from her. Is she trashy? God yes. She's also vulgar and stupid. I get that intelligence is God given, but her arrogance, meanness, compulsive lying, and bragging that she's smart... "I am NY time best selling author" (plus she thinks it's cute that she uses words incorrectly) make it easy to call her out for being so dumb. Does anyone find it odd that Teresa now is defending Joe to the point of telling her brother and Delores not to say anything bad about him ever again and is going into business with him selling sex toys in the US???? A man who cheated on her repeatedly, whom she blamed for all of their criminal legal problems, her going to prison, missing precious time with her mother when she passes away, and the huge debt. Right Teresa ... You knew nothing about the fraud and other crimes lol

I’d love to be wrong about this, but I think you might be giving her too much credit saying Teresa truly cares about her kids. I think she may care about them only in terms of how the exist for her. Look at the way she talks to Gia. Granted we only see what is shown on the show, but what we usually see is Teresa using her as a confidant to talk about everything happening in Teresa’s life. She puts A LOT on her sharing all her problems, looking for Gia to like or dislike people based on Teresa’s feelings etc. I know she prides herself in being a great mom. But wouldn’t a great mom be there to listen to her girls instead of the reverse?

queenb- I am with you 100% on your recent post about Teresa! I read somewhere that she made up that storyline about Jackie’s husband to stay relevant on the show. She is worried they might can her..which would be amazing if they did! I don’t get it...her ex treated her like garbage yet she is still doing business deals with him. She paid all his debt for crying out loud! What an idiot....!!!

There are a lot of women who do a lot of crazy things for ex husbands because they recognize the need their kids have to have a father

Whenever I look at #rhonj on Twitter, I am amazed at how pro-Theresa everyone seems to be. I will always continue to watch the housewives probably, but all of these shows have veered so far from the original concept. Anyone else remember in the early days when it was a glimpse into the lives of these women? Now they have to start rumors about each other and throw wine glasses and scream at each other to ramp up the drama or they will be off the show.

She's the reason I stopped watching Jersey. Andy will never fire her no matter how vile she is.

The thing about Teresa... I neither hate nor love her. I did like her before Melissa and Kathy joined the show. I can see how she felt blindsided when the people she thought were her friends (Caroline and Jac) turned on her. I know most of it stems from the incident in the DR that none of them can talk about for legal reasons. The new Teresa I'm not a fan of.

Teresa and her half-@$$ apology....if I were Jackie's husband I would have given her a piece of my mind. Teresa sure did seem scared when her brother blew up! I'm glad he spoke his mind about that low life ex husband of Teresa's. They are all a mess actually, lol..

All the women in their confessionals say what Teresa is like, but they let her get away with it. Delores makes the most sense to me, she's spot on.

Delores has the advantage of knowing Teresa fir a long time. I was watching the replay of the third season this week and was surprised at how often Delores popped up long before she was a cast member. She knows how much of Teresa us unhinged, but that it’s futile to confront it. Teresa is like a two year old throwing a tantrum. Don’t give it attention and she’ll move on to something else.

I find Teresa trashy and childish. I loved Jackie saying, "you got that confidence in jail," too funny. Teresa runs away, gives the finger, the usual Jackie was kind when she said “jail”.... Teresa actually was in a Federal penitentiary; prison. Not simply in jail for a minor crime. She’s a felon, a criminal, a vulgar thug.

There are many definitions of jail vs prison that distinguish one from the other based on length of term. I've heard some make the distinction before at the year mark - under a year you're in jail, over a year you're in prison. Teresa served 11 months, so under that definition, it could be said she was in jail. On the other hand, it's also sometimes distinguished by who runs the facility - states and federal government run prisons, municipalities run jails. Under that defintion, Teresa was in a federal prison.
Either way you call it, she was still found guilty of breaking the law and it was a bad enough crime that she had to be put away. Po-tay-to / po-tah-to -- she's still a criminal either way

Marge's Joe may have passed Frank last night as my favorite man on RHNJ. I thought he did such a great job of being there after Joe and Melissa's fight in a way that calmed things instead of stirring it up.
I watched the fight wishing that Joe and Melissa would realize it's time to leave the show for the sake of their family. I think the problem is that Joe sees a lot of the same changes in Melissa that he's seen in Teresa, and it worries him. He definitely has some very old fashioned views of marriage that he needs to update for the sake of a lot of people - especially his kids. But hearing him talk about money changing people made me think what he really resents is the show - even though the show has given him access to A LOT in his life. It's not worth it - their family is worth so much more!
I did love the prank Frank and Joe pulled off on Melissa. It was perfectly executed!

It was a good show last night. Joe feels threatened by Melissa's success, I hope he doesn't push her away. I loved hearing more from Evan, actually all the guys are a great bunch. I still love my Frank. I also loved the prank..lol

Poor Joe Gorga. He’s not as smart as his wife, not as evolved, not as successful. Her RH gig and spinoff money-making looks to have brought in more real cash than he could snag even with all his fraud and scams. His scam on one of the husbands (Ewan, Evan?) outed him again.
The first RHNJ years, Melissa was a homely woman, kept like a pet, used for sex, constantly listening to his sperm/erection/horny talk; all that belligerent bleating; subservient to Joe. She’s matured beautifully, physically and in her career; she’s outgrown him. The poor neanderthal doesn’t have the mentality to catch up. I think she’ll keep him anyhow; she does care for him and they both value family.

I agree...both he and his sister are not very smart..so sheltered.
The memorial for their dad did make me tear up. I’m very close to my immediate family so it hit me right away..

I dont watch this show enough to keep up with it, but I watched Carolyn Manzo on Andy Cohen's The Story of Reality TV and she seemed quite nice and genuine.

The Jennifer woman and family getting ready for their party... Jennifer’s mother with makeup, she looks just like Jennifer, and the little daughter too, looks like both of them - like clones at different ages, how sweet.

Bad timing for Joe to make these claims. This week when Teresa was feeling uncomfortable being at the moms gathering alone, it was melissas mom who automatically reached out to her to comfort her. As little as melissas mom is on the show, clearly there’s a bond there that was built without cameras rolling.
