So I'm the only one who watched?
I was delighted that Bret was the one eliminated at the beginning of the first hour, so I didn't have to see him or wonder whether there was ANY possibility that he would win (although I knew in my soul that there was NO WAY).
So now we can keep our reservation at Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas. Hope we get to see Ariel at work!!!!

I just finished watching. I really hope I don't have to see Bret ever again. He is such a Neanderthal, spitting his words and sweating. I really liked both chefs, but was pulling for Mia, I thought that she won both challenges and I loved her creativity. Why isn't mofongo on more menus? Plus, her dad was the real dish!!! I was kind of hoping he would hire both of them.

I haven't even watched yet - the winner was spoiled for me on Twitter Friday night - but I'm glad to hear Bret got gone early. He can go home and bake up some weed lasagna, or whatever it is that he does. Congrats to Ariel! I think she'll do great.

I loved how at the end, Ariel said to Mia . . . "If you want a job and I can designate you for the opening, you've got it."
And then I imagined this phone conversation after Ariel moves to Las Vegas . . .
Bret: Yo, Ariel . . . HOMEY!!!! I got permission from my parole officer to move out of state if I have a job. Can you help a brotha?
Ariel: Well, I don't get to do actual hiring, but here's the number of the HR department for the Las Vegas Ramsey restaurants. And I'll call them and put in a word for you.
Bret: Yo, you da best. I'm kissing my wrists and pointing to my parents as a prayer that this will work out.
(Phones disconnect)
Ariel: HR? This is Ariel at Hell's Kitchen. Somebody named Bret is going to call looking for a job, and he's going to mention my name. DO NOT EVEN OFFER HIM SOMETHING AS A DISHWASHER. He's a buffoon and a loser.

It was so obvious that Arielle was going to win and deserved to win. Mia may be talented and cr4eative cook - but she lacks the maturity and organization to run a brigade.... a bit more experience and maturing... she will get there no doubt. I am thrilled Arielle won - a drama free, talented, mature Executive chef!!
