I am surprised that more people are not watching this. I don't enjoy the regular season because I hate the stupid acts. This one is quite good as everybody is a winner or finalist in the world "X GT".
Last night the ten finalists --5 chosen by the golden buzzer and 5 chosen by "super fans"( whoever they are) from across America. They also added 2 wild cards----two acts that were tremendous but were not selected. Simon and Howie wasted their golden buzzer on two acts who were pleasant singers but who were called "inspirational". It was evident that the two females were good singers...but not amazing.
They said that the winner would be determined by the SF votes and announced next week. I would have thought that they would have moved from 12 to 6...had them perform again, and then announce the winner from the 6. The show was on only 6 times plus once more next week---a pretty short season to determine the world champions.
I also just saw that Heidi and MelB will be replaced next season. Julianne Hough is one of the new judges.

I, too, have been surprised that "no one" has been contributing to the AGT pages on this website. I've watched each AGT show going back to the first season. It's been wonderful watching these mostly amateur performers mature into polished performers, some becoming superstars.
As far as these finals, a few of the acts I care nothing about but, on the other hand, it's been wonderful seeing some of the past winners return and a few unknowns to us who won in other countries around the world. I was shocked and saddened to hear opera singer Paul Potts devote his performance this week to Neal E. Boyd, one of the former opera singers on this show who passed away at 42 last year in June from multiple health issues. Boyd was one of my favorites.
No matter who wins, it's been a great show this year that I've thoroughly enjoyed.
