I hadn’t watched this show in ages, & over the past month or so, I’ve caught a few episodes during the day. There was one I saw that was a lot different from the rest - the home was clean, but she had stuff in the spare bedrooms, the basement, her son’s basement, two large storage units & she rented a huge storefront just to store more stuff. Her husband didn’t know about the storefront or the second storage unit. SMH.
My husband has been back on an American Pickers kick lately & I really think most of those folks belong on Hoarders. It drives me nuts watching these people who haven’t been in their shed/attic/storage, etc for DECADES suddenly be like “oh I can’t sell that” or they want a ridiculous amount of money for things they haven’t looked at/used in eons - if they even remember they own it. IDK how those guys bite their tongue p, because you know they probably think the same thing. I could never be that diplomatic! I’d be calling them out, getting kicked off their property, lol.

I agree Holly! Good connection with American Pickers. So many of them have SO MUCH stuff and can't bear to part with anything!

That was insane. Those two had to be the worst they've shown with the exception of the lady who hoarded up that mansion. They were convinced the city was spying on them and out to get them. No, the city just didn't like your landfill of a house right there in that nice little neighborhood. Their neighbors were saints, trying to help out. And they'd better take care of those little dogs that were returned to them. Grr. Firing off a Twitter message to Trump, though, that had me rolling. Yeah, he's going to help you fight the man and keep your filth.

When I saw last night's episode and I saw the dogs, I knew it was going to be too upsetting to watch. Sure, live in your own crap all you want, but don't subject your animals to that crap too.

Another massive hoard last night, this time in Alaska. I really liked the old man and felt bad for him, he seemed to have more sense than most on this show. Loved seeing Dr. Zasio and Cory show up along with the small army of Army folks - that was so kind of them to help a vet in need. Some stuff got cleaned up (how many dead cars and trucks were in that yard??), but that house was just falling to pieces. I hope it's gotten better since this was filmed...

How on earth did they let that woman move back into the house?? I thought it had been condemned. I mean, she was crapping on the floor, along with the dogs and rats and whatever else crawled through there. And who uses the bathroom in a cup in front of their grandchildren? Ugh. She does NOT need to be living on her own.

I can't watch this show ever since I saw the one where the lady used grocery bags to do her own business and just had them in a pile. She also had lots of cats, some of them dead

Last night's hoarder had THREE freaking houses worth of crap. Sadly, some of it was actually decent stuff, but she let it sit too long. The city was fining her a pretty penny on all three homes but she didn't seem to care. Cory basically declared her hopeless, and I agree. Her oldest daughter needed a foot in her ass, too. What a witch.

Another triple hoard last night, this time with three different guys. One wasn't too bad, one was pretty bad, and the last guy (who refused help) was over the top. That fool just wanted the team to come in and move his piles of crap around so he could bring in another trailer to load with crap. Ugh, no. The other two got their houses cleaned up pretty well, and I thought it would be a happy ending...til they showed that the one guy's wife died in the hospital after being admitted for a bad fall in the hoard. So sad. And how was that the season finale already?! That had to be the shortest season ever.

New season of Hoarders starts this Monday, July 20th @ 8pm. I have no idea how many episodes there will be, but at least it's something new to watch.

That woman last night had to be one of the worst humans they've ever had on this show. It was sketchy enough that she married her best friend's husband after said friend committed suicide, but then she proceeded to drain his bank accounts, hoard up and trash that beautiful home, then left him broke and in poor health to go live with her son. And the ending just made me want to cry.

And the ending just made me want to cry. I seriously hope the first wife's death was thoroughly investigated. Carol looked like a candidate for her own episode of Dateline. Moved in TWO DAYS after the wife died to "take care of the husband"? Yeah, sure. She was despicable and I saw through her phony "that is so gracious" when the step-granddaughter was being kind to her. I was not surprised at the end result - she refused therapy. Glad that the son ended up with the deed so that IF there was any money from the sale of the house it went to Dave's REAL family.

And here I thought nobody could be worse than last week's monster. Gawd. I don't know how the daughter has put up with those two cretins bashing on her all this time, she doesn't deserve all that. Sometimes you just have to write off family members as trash and move along.

New episode tonight! I don't know why I love this gross show so much, but I do. I think it encourages us all to stay on top of the day-to-day clutter that we all have . . . and it makes us feel like, "Well, I'm not so bad."

Well at least that was a relatively "clean" hoard and not one of those roach and poop filled messes that make me want to shower afterwards. I really felt for the guy losing his wife like that, but he can't blame all that stuff on losing her. He was doing it while she was alive, she just kept him in check.
That was one of the nicest houses they've had on this show, too, I hope he kept it up.

What a gaslighting, manipulative turd Tim was. I wish his poor wife had somewhere else to go, away from him...and no surprise that he refused aftercare support. Jerk.

Interesting. They finally have a hoarder who admits the problem, takes responsibility, and is happy to let 90+% of her hoard go.
So what happens? The doctor and the (extremely annoying and overstepping her bounds) BOSS ORGANIZER badger the woman mercilessly until she admits she had a really bad childhood. Well, at least two people in the world feel better about bringing the woman to tears. The rest of us are just glad it wasn't a two-hour "argue about the safety of moldy food" episode.

There's things that are entertaining and then there's this. I would have just been happy seeing her take accountability for herself; there's no need to break someone down all of the time. There are some people who are only happy seeing broken people, and personally I stay away from them.
