NOTE: The show begins an hour later tonight, 9PM ET. Power Play - The designers take on the virtual world of fashion in this video game challenge. Three women from the industry visit to inspire them. The designers create their own female video game protagonists with a functional and stylish look. Oh lawd, I can just see the Ms. Pac-Man caftans coming down the runway... Enjoy the show!

I missed the announcement that the show moved to 9 until today. I will have to record and watch Drag Race live.

One guy dressed his video game hero as a dominatrix. One guy dressed his video game hero in a tuxedo jacket with nothing underneath. SMH I loved the miller's daughter outfit and style. That was epic.

Me too! I thought that should have won. I know a lot of people don't like Hester's aesthetic, but I really like it.
There were some bad, bad, bad looks on the runway.....I tweeted "Venny, James Brown wants his outfit back." And Venny tweeted me back: "Oh! Wow...ok." But seriously, that outfit was so bad that it was comical. But glad he didn't leave and the other designer did. I mean, "Cranberry Lycra!" Kinda said it all....

I also think Tessa's miller outfit should have won. I think Hester's outfit was too much of a costume. I was disappointed that most of the judges forgot about that. It was time for Rakan to go home. He never took advice. I understand wanting to stay true to your vision, but sometimes a little editing can help. Christian is getting more comfortable with speaking his mind with each episode.

I honestly think I am about to part company with this show. What Hester designs is juvenile at best. Come on, in what universe would Nina Garcia wear any of the looks she designed? She would look ridiculous. They always used to get on designers for designing junior. He designs are elementary school but I know new show/new judges and to each their own.

I didn't understand Tessa's garment. I didn't understand the purpose of the flour. I haven't played a video game in several years, and so the whole gaming fascination is something I've never really been a part of.
Hester's garment looked pretty basic to me, but I gave her a pass this time around because I can see how her model's garment could fit the superhero persona. To me, it just needed a little something extra to make a statement.
Garo's garment was my favorite. I thought it was very well constructed. I loved the piping on the sleeve, the lacing, his attention to detail. I thought it was perfectly accessorized without being overly embellished.

I am sure loving me some Christian Siriano this season! Tim? Tim who? I love Christian too! What a great choice. He's an amazing designer, and has done many wonderful things. I was not fond of any of the looks this week. Maybe because I'm not a "gamer"? Those outfits didn't look good to me as characters or real fashion looks. Love the show still, but I hope the challenges and the designing, step up a bit here.

Not too mention the disclaimer that is now shown at the end that states the judges are consulting with the producers and the Bravo network about who to eliminate. It’s just not the same anymore.

The judges are the disappointing this season. Their decisions on winners and losers just seems so off. The producers may be more heavy-handed this season in regards to who to keep and who to keep home. On facebook, it looks like people don't really like this group of judges either.

I'm Team Tim all the way. I wish so much they'd bring him back. I'm not a fan of Christian in this role. He's a talented designer, but as a mentor he lacks the caring and compassionate attributes Tim so beautifully displayed. Plus, that thing he does with his hands where he's always holding them close to his chest, folding one hand over the other reminds me of the conniving Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. I miss Tim.

I don't know about the early years on Bravo, but that disclaimer was buried in the end credits on Lifetime. Wouldn't surprise me if it's always been that way. After all, it is a reality show.
Wonder if they're trying to give Hester the sympathy edit in order to set her up for the win. Thrown out of fashion school, moved away from all her friends in order to take care of her parents. If she does win, I will seriously consider not coming back. As I pointed out, the old PR had a male designer very similar to her and he got eliminated early. It would be total hypocrisy to reward her girly-girly aesthetic when they hated his. And since I hate that aesthetic, too, I will be less than impressed if that's considered the "best" of this season. Not when designers like Garo and Sebastian have been wowing us with their creations.

I do not understand how Hester’s design was the top look. It looked cheap to me. I don’t get it.

As a gamer, I think Tessa and Garo had the best looks. I would have given the win to Tessa for a better story. Hester's was ok for a video game outfit - but she annoys me so wasn't happy that she won.

The disclaimer has been there since the beginning -- I have the early seasons on DVD. Many competition shows that don't have a live element to them (all pre-recorded and edited) have the same disclaimer. It's just a matter of how much each show listens to the producers/network.

This show is coming off as a bunch of children are now in charge. I, in all honesty, haven't watched an entire episode all the way through. I am finding it boring.

So I guess in order to win PR on Bravo is to have an over-the-top personal taste and talk about how you were bullied/forced out of school in order to win. Okay... sheesh... They said it shouldn't be costumey. Hester gave them a rainbow costume. I guess she doesn't have to listen to instructions and/or the judges throw out the instructions when it comes to her.
Is it my imagination or is the galloping, plus-size model throwing her designers under the bus? She's cracking on her designers! If I should ever get her, I'll kiss my time on the show goodbye!

I teach in a high school. Most of my female students would laugh Hester's character to scorn. I'd say they'd probably prefer the Miller's Daughter, with her androgynous outfit and hoisting flour bags like a man.

And WHERE in Wakanda would anyone wear Hester's outfit?? Is it because the model is very dark and she's modeling in a video hero challenge? *forehead slap*
