Awkward - One castaway gets caught rummaging through someone's bag; family members pay a visit. Enjoy!

Did the show start early tonight?? I turned there right at 8 and I didn't see the beginning part as usual. It just went right into it and I felt like I missed something.

Has anyone noticed that the "cast" on our headliner is from last season? I'm still missing Uncle David, whom I was lucky to meet in Las Vegas! That said, West Coast is checking in!

I'm hoping Devens votes for Ron to leave, seeing as how he's so cocky. Then when Devens plays the expired idol, he'll see how Ron played him again. Then he can play the real one and vote Ron out! Please!!
Aurora is stone cold.
Ron's husband was sure nice looking.
The honeymoon couple was cute.
I'm just so glad Wardog is out and seeing him on the jury will be so satisfying.

I loved Devons speech at tribal when he learned his advantage was useless. Very funny!

So glad he is gone. I really don’t like anyone left except for Rick but have a bad feeling he is gone next week.

They got Ron! Ha!! It happened almost like I had hoped. But Victoria and Lauren voted for Ron, so when Devens played his real idol, Ron ended up with the most votes. hahaha

I see them all so differently when the loved ones show up..um. The jump and leg wrap Lauren, reserve that for the bachelor, seeing her jump at her father like that, put me off a bit,. Ron, you were talking like you had this game, you chose the wrong loved ones, totally overplayed your hand..I don't like Julie, something about her. Rick, he doesn't get really down, and boy that bothers the others..they do not want him to be in the F3. I can totally see why..

Gavin played both votes for Ron, Lauren voted for Ron, Devens voted for Aurora, and everyone else voted for Devens.

Loved Deven's speech calling out Ron and Julie. It was a BS move just to make him look stupid. Glad he was able to turn the tables on them.
I don't think he will be gone next week. Usually when they show previews of people saying he needs to go next it doesn't happen.

If I won the challenge on the loved one's visit, I'd pick people to join me who have a spouse or significant other visiting them instead of a parent or sibling. Presumably the parents and siblings have been with them all their life so they've had plenty of time together and will continue to do so. I'm glad Gavin was chosen to be with his new wife. I would have picked him first thing.
Right now, I'm rooting for Devens or Gavin to win. Devens is my favorite because he really seems to understand the game and is playing it well, plus he's a neat guy! If he gets voted off before the end, I'd be happy for Gavin to win.
I'm thrilled that Ron got voted off because I don't like him. He could still get back in, IF he can beat Joe and the other evictees in a comeback challenge, but I don't see him getting the jury votes to win.
Of the returnees, it would be cool for Joe to win but I don't know if the new players in the jury would pick him for the win over one of their own.

There used to be a sliding scale as to how much folks were paid for being on Survivor based on how soon they were voted off, just a whole lot more for the last 2 or 3. And after being voted off, even the non-jury I believe, ended up at the ritzy Ponderosa. So how will this jury be compensated? EOE is hard time labor. And no sign of them at all this week.

I'm going to start off by saying, I really don't like the format of the loved ones visit. Instead of having one player win reward and have to pick who to bring with them on the reward, the first three players who complete the challenge should win reward.
It puts players in such a tough spot to have to pick other players and their loved ones and when you aren't chosen you are always going to take it personal. I understood why Ron picked Gavin, I would have done the same thing, but when Lauren wasnt chosen it just made it easier for her to target Ron, like she already wanted him gone but that was the cherry on top of the sundae.
I do find Rick entertaining at tribal council, he is great tv. But i still don't want him to win. And the fact that its so obvious that the jury is rooting for him to win really makes me sick to my stomach. God i miss old school Survivor so much. We are literally going to have a jury of 13 people which is insane to me. These people have not been able to go to Ponderosa and eat a good meal and have a nice shower they are still at EOE and miserable, and this large jury will encourage group thinking instead of individual thinking
I am glad Ron is gone though, he was arrogant and kinda came off looking like a dufus at times to me. But I dont give Rick credit for Ron leaving. Yes Rick found ANOTHER idol. But it was the girls who get the credit for Ron going. Aurora was smart to realize she couldnt vote in a revote so giving her extra vote to Gavin was smart, Lauren votes for Ron cause she wants him gone and Victoria realizes Rick might have an idol yet still votes with the majority amazing game play!
I would love Victoria, Lauren, Gavin or Aurora to win this thing, Victoria has yet to get a single vote against her all season and has always voted with the majority sending out two vets with idols in their pockets, Lauren has over come so many obstacles pre merge and merge literally fainted during a challenge and STILL has an idol. Gavin is so calm and cool and collected stood up to Wardog, blindsided Eric, and Aurora is just a warrior princess her name always comes up but she some way some how finds a way to survive. one of those four deserve to win this season IMO any other winner for this season will be a major bummer for me. This is the weirdest season of Survivor i have ever watched and I really dont even know how to rank it honestly Right now probably a bottom 5 season for me but maybe the finale will change the outcome of that.

If I won the loved ones challenge, I would turn around and write a number in the sand and whomever guesses closest to it would come on the reward with me. No hard feelings that way!

That was a most satisfying episode. I'm glad that Rick is still in it. I personally hate the loved ones visit. The ones who aren't chosen by the winner always take it so personally. I understand that they all want to have time with their loved ones, but they are only 8 days from being back with them on a regular basis. Just my opinion, but I don't think the winners usually pick based on strategy, but based on who they are closest to or who they think has a more deserving story. Ron's picks were exactly that. He's closest to Julie, so of course he chose her, and he was touched by Gavin's story. Those were natural picks, nothing personal against the others, and no real strategy behind it.

And Julie has been so flighty, Ron wanted to secure that relationship.
Who gets to join in the reward is classic Survivor. The point is to create chaos and force uncomfortable decisions to be made. There are certain challenges you don't want to win. This is one of them.

I always love the loved one episode. I love meeting the loved ones, hearing the story. I cry with some of them. Loved Rick's speech about no point other than making him look stupid. So glad he found and used the idol.

From what I've read from Probst, they *want* the others to take it personally. They like how it shakes things out. Devens lost that challenge beautifully, throwing water at his wife instead of at the bucket. LOL I think the jury is rooting for Devens because he made it back there into the game, and is managing to stay in. I find myself rooting for him, too, and I find him entertaining. If he doesn't make it through the next tribal, so be it, he had a good run. And good for him for finding that idol: he needed one, he went out and got one. The thing I don't like about this season is the rushed feel of the episodes. This one was especially rushed; they cut so much out just to fit everything in that they needed to. I realize that not everything is absolutely necessary for us to see, but we're not getting the whole story nor getting to know some of the other players at all this way. I wish it were 90 minutes just so we could have a decent, story-rich episode. 90 minutes of Survivor, followed by 90 minutes of Amazing Race would be ideal. Next week should be interesting with the glimpse I saw online of EoE. Reem is still crazy and crabby! I hope we get to see more of their boring existence there.

Like many of you I am rooting for Rick, but his days are numbered I suspect. I am not really a fan of any of the other final ones. They just don't seem that they have done much in the game other than bonding with the right people - voting with what the majority to get the perceived threats out. That is important of course, but not exciting. I guess the underdog is Aurora so once Devens goes - I guess I will root for her.

So many screwy things about EOE. For instance, the winner normally gets a winning edit throughout most of the game, but what if someone from EOE comes back and wins? We are barely seeing those folks.

I was thinking about how the almost the entire jury is going to be made up of EOE exiles, & the EOE folks are going to get another chance to get back into the game (when? We don't know).
With that being said, let's say for example Aubrey gets back in the game. I wonder if the majority of the jury (who will be mostly EOE exiles) would vote for her to win vs. someone who has been "in the game" for the duration. I say this because EOE is freaking hell, a lot more difficult than camp, & those who have been on EOE, especially the ones who have been there the longest, would: A). have a stronger bond to that person, & B). understand experiencing EOE is no joke. Camp life is a 5 star resort compared to EOE.
If Rick makes it to the end, he will win, I have no doubt. If he doesn't make it to the end & another EOE exile is sitting next to someone like, Victoria or Gavin, I could see the EOE exile winning, because of the reasons mentioned above. The only exception could be if Aurora is sitting at the end, because they've seen what an underdog she's been this entire time & the girl has NO ONE in the game. She's done it all on her own.
If Rick & another EOE returnee are sitting at the end, I think Rick wins.

I am curious as to how this season will wrap up. The season finale is in two weeks, so there are basically 3 episodes left to watch (the last finale is 2 hours long). There are 7 players left, 10 folks on the jury with a chance of one of them coming back into play. That is a lot of stuff that needs to be done before the final tribal council unless the powers that be have changed the number of players that will be in the final TC.

They'll just have everyone pick rocks in the finale and whoever gets the purple rock wins.
