That jingle is hilarious - that's what he was so proud of? He's got a very weak voice, I don't see him making it in music. *shrug*

Things that are odd (some of them, because there are certainly too many to mention): The other three people in Hannah's family who were sitting there but never introduced. Siblings? Cousins? Seat fillers? If they weren't going to be included at all in the visit or even introduced to the audience, why have them there on screen?
Also, were we ever told if "singer/songwriter" is Jed's only occupation? He mentioned he does other things ... such as?? Does he really think he can support a family on dreams and aspirations? I can understand her parents' feelings about this. But maybe he has some other job or career we weren't told about. It bugs me that producers even allow people who obviously have personal/professional ulterior motives on this show. Do they want their B'ette to find love, or a liability? I saw no evidence of the great connection with Jed that Hannah kept referring to, so why was he even still there. He seemed perpetually unhappy and needy. What's so attractive about that? Between Luke and Jed, seems Hannah wants a project more than a mature, respectful, supportive husband.
Next, why did Hannah feel compelled to loudly and gleefully announce that she and Peter had sex four times in the windmill, not two times? Who cares? What did she think that would accomplish? No consideration for how Peter might feel about that (he looked embarrassed), especially with his mother sitting there, and did she think it would make her own parents proud? That was pretty bizarre and baffling to me. Why did she find that necessary, and did production know she was going to do that and egg her on?

Sorry for interrupting, but I'm so happy I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. I just can't with how inbred this show has become. No longer my cup of tea.

Sorry for interrupting, but I'm so happy I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. I just can't with how inbred this show has become. No longer my cup of tea. You had the right idea. I was going to do the same, but I thought at first Hannah was a smarter Bette than the usual ditzes, so I got interested in seeing how things would proceed. By the time I realized that she was all talk in terms of really wanting to get to know each guy and finding a great husband, I was already hooked. I don't know how tonight will end other than the rumors that are everywhere, but I have the feeling that she wound up with no one given the fact that she decided to yell out at the last minute that she had windmill sex four times with someone she let go. I doubt any fiance would be okay with her announcing that.

So I'm just finally watching last night's show, and I have to say I thought Jed handled the conversation with confused Hannah quite sweetly. That he was willing to let her vent about her confusion without making it about him seemed to show that he really did care about her.

Yep, that's what I said about the windmill episode. What exactly did boasting about your sexual adventures to Luke accomplish? Good grief almighty, Hannah really does resemble a high school girl. That will absolutely be confirmed if she chooses Jed tonight.
As for that dog food commercial, has anyone heard of this company before? I really hope they don't go out of business after this because of their association with Jed. It seems like a nice company; they just need to hire a better advertising agency. That "song" sounded so silly, it reminded me of Phoebe from Friends and her famous cat food jingle.

AlwaysVeg , the only other job Jed's had that we know of (and not because he talked about it on the show) is: {Spoiler}as a dancer in an all-male revue with tear-away pants at the end of the dance. He can't dance and just looked awkward. There's video in his thread if you want to see it. Pretty embarrassing I'm not sure this is really a spoiler, but I put it in tags just in case.

Omg, I saw that, but thought it was some kind of joke, not a job. He was awful! I'm sure that will impress Hannah's parents, lol.

Oh well. She will be engaged and married by next year. Tyler deserves someone better.

It's entirely possible that they had already heard about that part of his career, since there were spoilers by then that it seems they had been following. Might account for why they were less than enthusiastic to begin with.
