I'm going to check out that new show that Billy Gardell, from Mike and Molly, will be in. I thought he was a lot funnier than Melissa Mccarthy on their show together.

I was trying to find a show I saw advertised. Redline on Friday nights . Don’t know when it starts.
Just happy to have something to watch on Friday. It is another cop/ doctors show.

Red Line was on in the Spring; it is not returning for another season. Unless there is another show with the same name.

Well darn I missed the whole thing...lol guess it wasn’t very good if it got canceled. Not it sure what new shows I will watch but I do see ads for the one mentioned , I like that guy too.

Yes, me too, and Unicorn. Everything we watch, retuns on the same day.(s) I hate getting too attached to a show, because a few we really liked, were cancelled.

I watch so little network TV any more, or at least get very attached to anything because the stuff that I like gets canceled and the things I start out liking gets worse and worse because good ratings means they're allowed to continue beyond the abilities of the writers to tell the story well. I'm looking forward to Dublin Murders on Starz, Catherine the Great and His Dark Materials on HBO. Oh, and the new season of The Crown!

I heard some of the writers from Mike & Molly are working on that show. I hope it's witty humor. I'm ready for a good sitcom to come our way. I'm also curious about the Unicorn (I might be missing part of it's name there). Plus, I'm interested in the one with Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond. I don't know the name of the show, but the commercial's convinced me to give it a shot. I'm ready for fall. Not just for the new fall TV lineup. I just love fall. I wish it was fall all year.

I LOVED The Kids are Alright! Being brought up Irish Catholic it really hit home and made me feel sane that kids back then were brought up differently than they are today. With my friends who have kids now...they are so 'hands on' and their kids are the center of their lives...where back then...wasn't always the case. They are showing a lot of promos of the show....I forgot it's name...but it has Micheal Sheen in it and is about a serial killer father and his son. I will watch anything with him in it.

I am Catholic (not Irish though) and having gone thru 8 years of Catholic school in the 70s (and weekly school mass) I really got a kick out of the show.

Yes! Thank you! Prodigal Son. I couldn't think of it. But yes, I feel like he wouldn't sign on to a poop show.
And Lib, yes! I went to Catholic school too in the 70's, so I too got a kick out of it. Loved the actors as well. Maybe Netflix is listening? So mad that it was cancelled but stupid mush shows like Bless This Mess are renewed.

It was so funny. Never even had an interest in Bless this Mess. They advertised the heck out of it though. Don't get too attached to Prodigal Son, it sounds good so it probably won't last. I guess that is why I like Netflix and other streaming services. So many of the things I have seen on Netflix would never survive network TV. I think the closest would be something like The Crown, but that would be on PBS. I remember back in the day we had good comedies and dramas, that were given a chance to find an audience. And while there was garbage, there were also some real good shows. And I remember Sunday night Hallmark movies such as Sarah Plain and Tall. I want to say it was on CBS. Do they do those anymore? It seems the only Hallmark movies are on the Hallmark channel and they are sappy love stories.

Watched Bob Hearts Abishola....not sure about this one. Really where can it go. Really don’t like his family. Sometimes I couldn’t understand what she was saying when she was at the school.
Glad The Good Doctor is back. I enjoyed it , his date was very awkward though. Lots of people moving around jobs.
Watched Bull it was good but forgot how the season ended. not sure why they told us the sex of the baby at the end.
Have have The Unicorn and Carol’s Second act recording this week . Hope they are good.
Survivor starts this week too. This is Us . Defiantly will have shows to watch on the weekend. Oh and 911 recorded too.

Have have The Unicorn and Carol’s Second act recording this week . Hope they are good. Survivor starts this week too. It's about to get VERY busy TV-wise for quite a few of us. I watched Bob Hearts Abishola. Not sure if I like it, but I'll definitely give it several more episodes before I decide. I get the whole immigration angle and their wanting to stay true to the Nigeria accent for authenticity, but just like you -- I had a hard time understanding what Abishola or her family was saying. I hope they have her dial it back just a smidge. The actress playing Abishola is Nigerian, but she doesn't have an accent. The Unicorn and Carol's Second Act premiere some time this week. I'm not sure when, but I have it on my Hulu 'My Stuff' to record. Survivor's tonight -- I'm already working on my pool. Big Brother's tonight. I also can't wait for the The Masked Singer. Again, don't know when it's on. I'll just have to check my "My Stuff." I hear that people are already trying to guess who's who. Lawd... I'm not THAT addicted. Close, though.

Emergence - this show is a version of many abc and nbc shows we have seen. I liked the characters and I'm curious to who and what this child is. But with most cable sci fi series, we are given a mystery, only given more questions for weeks and if we are lucky we may have a sense of what is going on in the finale. If this were a 13 episode binge I probably would like it. But will it be good enough to stick with till next year? We will see.

I've watched a few new shows so far. I enjoyed All Rise, even though there are (IMO) just too many legal dramas. I liked Simone Missick as Misty Knight on Luke Cage, so she's the reason I watched this one. I thought the supporting (ensemble?) cast was good. I'll keep watching.
I LOVED Stumptown! I'm a Cobie Smulders fan and thought she was terrific. Also a great supporting cast with Jake Johnson, Michael Ealy and Camryn Manheim. Definitely my favorite new show this season so far. I read a review saying that it might be too soon to compare Cobie's character to those iconoclastic characters like Jim Rockford, but if the show lives up to the pilot, that might be an apt comparison. Totally agree.
I watched Bluff City Law simply because of Jimmy Smits. Not sure if I'll watch it long term, but I liked it enough to watch it again. It might be a little too cliched for me.
I started to watch Prodigal Son, but my mom was visiting and she kept talking to me while I was trying to watch. It's definitely a show you need really pay attention to, so I turned it off. It's waiting on my DVR. I love both Michael Sheen and Tom Payne (who will always be WD's Jesus to me), so I'm looking forward to it.
I'm looking forward to Evil, The Politician (Netflix), Watchmen (HBO), His Dark Materials (HBO), Dublin Murders (Starz) and The Gilded Age (the new Julian Fellowes series, which doesn't, I don't think, have a premiere date yet).

I didn't watch because I thought it would be silly...now I'll have to put it on my watch list. Prodigal Son was really good, Tom Payne is great as the son (but he'll always be TWD's Jesus to me, too ). Definitely sticking with this show.
