Honesty Would Be Chill - New tribal dynamics may put the rest of the castaways on edge leading into the next tribal council. Also, one castaway is presented with an opportunity on 'Island of the Idols:' complete a risky task in order to gain an advantage.
Enjoy the show!

Vince went home with an idol in his pocket. Good grief.

Vince's task was scary! Even though nothing bad would've happened if he'd been caught (he'd just lose his vote), I was so nervous for him. Any sneaking and hiding makes me nervous, so I got scared he wouldn't make it. He got lucky it was dark and stormy, I think. I must say, however, that these lessons they're getting are pretty lame. Making fire and listening well could have been good advice for BEFORE they went out there, and being sneaky/in control of your emotions obviously didn't help Vince stay in the game. I wish they'd be giving them more relevant advice to the current situation they're in, the current dynamics of the tribe, etc. Like, this is what's happening, what should I do? Didn't it look like they were going to have to agree to send someone next week, so maybe the name draw is over? I feel so bad for Karishma, when she hurt herself and no one paid any attention at all! Someone could've at least said, "are you okay?" even if they didn't think it was a serious injury, but they all ignored her completely. That was harsh. Usually on Survivor, an injury makes everyone act nice and concerned, even if they dislike the person. Maybe they didn't see/hear her say she got hurt? It looked very strange, how they all ignored her. Then, she bombed at the puzzle! Poor girl! I'm glad they kept her, even if it was just for a "girls" number and to get Vince's idol out. She just better not be responsible for the puzzle next time! That one girl was kind to her, saying they didn't intend to make her feel on the outside, and that she's one of the girls, but Karishma's comment about the sorority might have rubbed some of them the wrong way. Tom was abrasive and annoying at tribal, I thought! The guys on that tribe just haven't been looking good so far, LOL!! Go, girls! And then previews for next week show a budding romance. Dang. There goes the girls' alliance - at least one girl less committed to the cause, because of a guy (and was it DEAN??). Goodness.

While I love a good blindside, I'm not sure why they blindsided Vince instead of Tom. It seems like he was more on the girls' side than the guys. Navybelle I also wish the advice was more specific and less general, maybe a combination of what they're doing. Maybe Sandra and Boston Rob could still give them their idol challenge, but then also talk to them and give them specific advice pertinent to the individual players.

After reading a few interviews regarding the "twist", it seems the lessons to be taught were determined before filming began. Therefore the "lessons" had to be general to the game and not specific to the player situation. If they use a similar twist again hopefully they can make it more specific. I simply do not understand while he didn't play the idol! And, I don't understand why the girls voted for him instead of Tom. Dumb move, ladies!

The test guaranteed little to no sleep. For me that could have been reason enough to take a pass. He wasn't even allowed to dress in camo. If he was held all that time was he at least fed?
The idols are good for the next two TCs. Is that the next TCs regardless of which tribe goes or only his next two TCs? Just don't get why he didn't play the idol, especially if the other tribe goes next week and it wouldn't have done him any good to hold onto it.
I don't like that there is such an extreme new twist but they are showing us so little of what happens at IofI as well as back in that person's camp.
I think the main reason I'm pissed at Vince not playing the idol, and assuming there was no discussion with him about it prior to TC, is that Elizabeth is still scott-free for having lied about her visit there. I want her cover blown.

I want her cover blown. Brooks I wanted Elizabeth's cover to be blown too, she made up that horrendous lie about the urns and got away with it . All Vince had to do was just play the idol and tell everyone he had to play it because it was only good at one tribal council. If I have an idol that's only good for two tribal councils I'm playing it at the first tribal I go to no matter what, even if you end up not needing to play it better to waste an idol than to leave with one in your pocket. Lairo is good at the physical portion of challenges but puzzles just aren't there thing at all.

I'm confused about a few things. First, folks seem to be upset about the lie told by Elizabeth. But why does no one seem upset when Kelee told a similar lie? And second, did no one ask Vince what happened on the Island of the Idols? And why did they assume he had an idol but no one assumed that Elizabeth had one?

Yeah, not only that but it looked like Karishma was the one who flipped the script at the last minute. I would really love to hear a post-game interview on why they chose to take out Vince over Tom.

I want her cover blown. It's good for the next two TC's the tribe that the person who's holding the idol goes to, though if I remember correctly, Kellee's is good for the next three TC's her tribe goes to because Mariano decided to change it from two to three TC's to try to get Kellee to try the challenge. As she already went to a TC in the same episode she won the idol, she still has two TC's where she can use the idol.

I don't think anyone heard what Karishma said, or if they did they didn't know what she meant by "I see bone". She should have said "I need a medic"! They would have understood that.

I would certainly of yelled!! I love a blindside, but I quite liked Vince. I really like Tommy, Missy and Janet, not so keen on Jamal, who seems to think he's still running the show.

The Tommy Janet alliance is really refreshing to see and so unexpected, I really hope these too make a deep run this season. I'm getting Malcolm and Denise vibes here
