I saw it. Jack got voted off. Another great blindside. He's the first member of the jury.

Everyone was going to vote for Dean. Kellee didn't want him to go and didn't want her idol to go to waste, so she gave it to him to play. He got 5 votes. Then he voted for Jack and Kellee convinced Noura to vote for Jack, so he went to the jury. Jamal played his idol (I forgot he had one) for Noura, but he guessed wrong.

I was on a bit of a delay watching it, so didn't want to get spoiled by reading here first. Just finished the episode, and it was so good! I'm loving this season. It seems there are quite a few very smart players, although Kellee's choice to give away her idol didn't seem that smart to me when she had her epiphany. I don't care for Dean, but she likes him, and it did make for some drama at tribal! I was shocked that Jamal played his idol for Noura, and kind of wished he'd been voted off for such a move. It would've been funny, but getting Jack out was pretty smart since he did seem to be sincere and popular.
They merge next week, and it seems everyone's name is being thrown out there. I heard Missy's name brought up, which is too bad, because I like her and hope she sticks around.
I still feel the same about Rob and Sandra's roles in the show. Love their input at tribal and about the players themselves, but their "lessons" aren't relevant or necessary. I don't mind them, but we really don't need them: this season is strong on its own.

Season of the blindsides continues, I liked Jack though...
I completely forgot that Jamal had an idol and was even more surprised when he played it for Noura of all people..lol.
This TC was great. We have the most mature, and well-spoken casts I've seen in a long long time.. I'm hoping Janet makes it to the F3...

Not Jack!!! I liked him. Oh well, he took it well and was stoked to be on the jury so I guess I should be happy for him...

That was so great! First off, we had a conversation about microaggression last week and then this week we had feminism! Woo hoo!
And even before that, we had Janet, thinking things through. And then Kellie! I mean, why not make a strong bond rather than waste an idol? We will see if it helps or hurts her.
Is it me, or is this just an incredible season?

What shocked me about the vote is that Kellee voted for Dean. It gives her dibs on pretending to be shocked by all of it and to credibly say she voted for him, but it seemed like such a gamble to do it that way. I'm also surprised she was able to sway Noura's vote. Will Noura be in trouble with her tribe for this or is she considered such a loose canon that no one will care?
Wasn't this Kellee's last opportunity to play the idol? I don't think she wasted it at all, and it will definitely be on her resume.
Janet declined Rob's offer because I was yelling at her so loud to just say no! Good girl!

The idol was expiring at this tribal. This play was brilliant, because she saved Dean, but no one knew she was responsible.

I totally agree. Those silly "lessons" take up time from us actually watching the game. I'm liking this season, but everytime they show those lessons, I get annoyed and roll my eyes.
I SO wish Jamal had been the one voted off. Saving Noura seemed so ramdom! Jack seems like a good guy. I hope he gets another chance someday.

I so want to see Karishma go and go soon. She is so similar to a woman that worked where I do, that made most of our lives miserable until she was fired it is uncanny.

It's an incredible season for Survivor fans, that love to hear, what makes others tick. We know TC is long, and we get to see just a few minutes. Kellee and Janet put Jamal on the defensive, is that why he played his idol for Noura? Or, was something said, we never got to see. I'm glad Dean was given an idol, Kellee didn't need it, using it on another player, was brilliant, and her plan unfolded, just like she wanted.Jack was a threat, he was likeable, that's why he had to go. Janet sitting with Rob, I loved that she took her time, she didn't rush her decision. I enjoy seeing their faces when they get to the IOI, and see these two players I enjoy that part, and I think the players do as well.

Another great episode. The way Kelee played her idol was brilliant! The discussion about "girl power" at tribal was interesting and showed how bright both Janet and Kelee are. It is refreshing to not have to watch air-headed beautiful body young women grooming themselves on the beach.

And the MVP of the week is Kellee! Brilliant done, just brilliant! Wow! Did you see her acting skills when Dean played that idol! See Initially i thought it would be a no brainer for her to play the idol on herself and guarantee a spot in merge. But after really thinking about it, it puts this unnecessary target on her back which she really doesnt need considering she's in a really great position. I also loved the fact that Kellee and Janet spoke up about their feelings about the assumptions about women that people may make, this is the second episode in a row now where they have chosen to highlight these real life issues and not try to hide them like Big brother does coughs....
Also Janet declining the advantage at IOI was a great decision In my opinion, that too would have really put a target on her and like Kellee, Janet is too in a great position. What i am still confused about is why Jamal played the idol on Noura? Was it the deep discussion at tribal council that made him feel bad and thus moved him to play an idol on her i dont know? But really what shocked me most was that Jack was the first member of the jury? I guess they are planning on having larger juries now since they did last season Im not a fan of large juries but i think this is something we will have to get used to
But BRING ON THE MERGE next week baby, 2 hour episodes and 2 people will be voted out. Who? Your guess is as good as mine. It's going to be a blood bath war and I am so ready for it!

Great speech by Janet, but I wouldn't want to bring her to FTC. Although Jamal misplayed his hidden immunity idol on Noura, it might help heal their estranged relationship and make him less of a target for her when they merge.

I only just saw the show last night so this is my first opportunity to comment on it.
I don't see how it's sexist to fear a female alliance. I think it's only natural to fear ANY alliance that has a chance to have the majority in your tribe. If I'm a Survivor contestant, I'm going to join any alliance I qualify for. Female alliance? Sure! Alliance of Florida contestants? Sign me up! The Alliance of Kitty Cat Cuddlers? Hell, yeah! You never know at the beginning of the game which alliance is going to take you further so you straddle each one for as long as you can. As people are voted out and some alliances dwindle, you finally have to turn on one alliance and stand firmly with another.
I think one reason female alliances might not last is because being female is not the only thing that bonds women and they often develop differences with each other for other reasons. Younger women may clash with older women, city chicks might not see eye to eye with country chicks, single women and married women may play a very different game, etc. A woman won't stay true to a member of her alliance just because that other person is a woman if there is a glaring difference between them that they can't resolve.
It does seem like Survivor alliances as a whole are changing. There are fewer alliances formed in the beginning that last until the very end and more alliances that are together just for a few tribal councils in a row. As tribes change and merge, you have to reevaluate your position and an alliance that you started with might not be the best one to get you to the end.

Point one: I do think Kellee brought that up to throw of any light on a potential all female alliance ... it came across kinda fake to me, but then it became a discussion. Point two: I do see it every season that the guys do not want an all female alliance but no one says anything when every season on all all tribes the guys propose an all male alliance. Which annoys the heck out of me. The implications is that females are easier to control when there is a man in the group.

I do wonder if Kellee made a really sneeky move too soon just for the sake of using her idol?

I do wonder if Kellee made a really sneeky move too soon just for the sake of using her idol? She was worried about Jack making the merge because everyone seems to like him & get along with him. She used the idol because she considered him a threat because of that.

So far Kellee is definitely one of my favorites, and I feel she made the right move here. Not only did she save Dean, but without putting a target on her back, she got rid of Jack, who's not only a very likable guy, but also a challenge threat, so getting him out sooner was the right move.
In a way, I kinda feel sorry for Karishma in regards to the immunity challenge, not only because this time it wasn't her fault the tribe lost, but also because from what I saw, it seemed like she's the one in her tribe that figured out the puzzle and was instructing the others. They got through that puzzle so quickly too, just Jamal unable to put that piece in place and another one at the top a bit out of place, so had the tribe gotten through the coconut throwing part just five or ten seconds sooner, they would've won. Sometimes it's really the smallest details in these challenges.

She didn't have to use the idol it was more to shake up the game.

When the camera pulled away, Jamal had only one piece to put in..close races are exciting
