I thought last night was pretty funny!!! SATURDAY MARCH 2, 2019!!! I am not aware of this comedian actor John Mulaney but he was HYSTERICAL!!! tv.avclub.com/john-mulaney-and-bill-hader-return-to-lift-a-great-sa-1833016512I think he was a presenter at the Oscars??? Oh and BILL HADER stopped by!!! I have a question for those that watch .... what is up with Pete Davidson .... he does not seem like he even wants to be on the show anymore .... every time he is in a skit now (like the last few months) he has to make it a point to look over at the CUE CARDS and its ANNOYING esp for a long time SNL cast member. De Niro does it when he is guest starring but I give him a pass BUT that is annoying as well because De Niro makes it BEYOND obvious he has no clue what the lines are .... but PETE????? I mean when a cast member is talking to you in a skit and you are looking in the complete opposite direction so you can read the lines???? I am reading he is with KB now. Maybe he will start to feel better from AG breaking it off with him. THAT whole relationship was off the rails crazy. Meet, date, get engaged all in like an HOUR. momrek06, John Mulaney was a writer for SNL; he created the character of Stefon. He and Nick Kroll wrote and starred in a Broadway play called "Oh, Hello." I find his comedy to be very different and extremely funny. That wedding skit he did with Ego had me rofl.

8 love John, and have been a fan since he was a writer on SNL. I loved his first time hosting but felt a bit letdown by this one. It felt like they tried nothing but doing a round 2 on all the sketches he did his first time hosting. I wanted more. Loved the cold open. And loved his monologue. But I felt like it went downhill from there.
Re: Pete Davidson. - he’s stronger as a stand up comedian than he is a sketch performer which is why I think his best stuff is always when he does desk pieces on Weekened Update. I see the same thing in Leslie Jones. Both are hilarious and I see why they are on the show. But stand ups rarely kill in sketches the same way that improvers do.

I loved it last night - loved his NYC centric monologue and some of the skits had me laughing. The cold open was perfect for me because I watched the hearings and they could have done an hour long sketch on it. My favorites were the bodega skit and Kate's "put your lips together and blow" she is just marvelous. I even like Chad.

For whatever reason my favorite part was the turkey drawing. "I am also including a copy of the threatening letter I sent to Mr Trump's high school warning them not to release his SAT scores."

OMG, the Toilet Death Ejector commercial DEAD. I could not stop laughing. It reminded me of that adult diaper commercial they did years ago for the product called, "Oops! I Cr@pped My Pants!" I love John Mulaney. Those Stefon sketches are some of my favorite ever SNL bits. JM would always stick stuff in there to make BH break character. That's why Stefon's sketches got more and more outrageous as time went on. That was the best episode I've seen in a long while and definitely the best episode of the season. Thomas Rhett? Meh. Just not a fan. Otherwise, a great episode. I didn't ffwd through one sketch and that's unusual.

I love that they show SNL live on the west coast now so I can watch it at 8:30 PM. But I have to make sure I remember right at 8:30 so I don't miss the cold opening, which is usually one of my favorite parts. Last night I was 9 minutes late so watched it this morning. Jason was pretty good as Biden.

Two members of the cast were involved in a match at Wrestlemania. I'm not familiar with them.

I didn't find the joke amusing, either. What a kind young girl she is! Surely they could have come up with a ton of jokes that weren't hurtful to a child.

You don't go after little kids EVER. They took a sweet local story that made lots of us happy and mocked it and her lovely outlook on life.

Adam Sandler returned to the show for the first time since the 90's and did a tribute of Chris Farley.

I thought that Sandlers hosting showed why returning to the show as host should be something that comes in time and is given as an honor, rather than just being a gimmick. I thought the best things they did all night were the things that showed the impact he had on the current cast - his "I got fired" monologue, the Sandler family reunion, opera man and of course the Farley tribute from his comedy special. When a guy comes back after 20 years, you can do that. When someone comes back after a season or 2, you can't do it as well.

The media seems very fascinated with Pete Davidson and I'm not sure why? He wasn't that interesting on the show from what I have seen. Does he post a lot about his life online or something? Cause I see so many pointless and almost daily articles about him, especially whenever he gets into a new three week relationship.

He has borderline personality disorder, and was going through a very rough patch in January. He was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he was a teenager. And his father was a firefighter who died on 9/11; Pete was 8 years old at the time.

He was suicidal earlier this year. So much so the police were looking for him and his friend made it a point to not only stay with him, flying in t from the west coast, he also let the public know Pete was safe. I like Davidson and find him funny. He is not shy about his diagnosis, making a point to talk abbot it on a SNL weekend update sketch. He was also harassed by thousands of Ariana Grande fans, who kept telling him to kill himself, among other things, after they broke up. He spoke out about that. as well. Admonishing keyboard warriors-telling them that kind of behavior could lead someone in a desperate mindset to kill themselves.

That's messed up that her fans were telling him that. I can't imagine what it must be like to be a celebrity and have to read some of the garbage and other troll things that people post online, especially in more recent years with the explosion of social media sites. I'd like to see more positive stories about celebrities and people in general, though of course the drama and negativity is what catches a lot of people's eyes and attention.

Anyone watch season 45 opening episode this past Saturday? Woody Harrelson was guest host and Billie Eilish was the musical guest. I have a question about one of the skits. There was a skit called "World's Biggest Cheeto Museum" which had Woody and Aidy as a married couple and Mikey Day as their son and Cecily was interviewing them. They were being interviewed for a news program called "Sun's Out Nevada" and the anchors were Heidi Gardener and some other series regular who was a bit on the short side. I know all the series regulars. All I can come up with is that this guy is Kyle Mooney. I don't know if Kyle wears wigs for his sketches but in the opening credits he has long curly hair. He's sitting down and he appears to be taller. In this sketch he was shorter than Heidi but Heidi could be tall for all I know. This same guy was also in a sketch where Woody played his dad and he can't get his dad's attention. Now, I have thought to myself on more than one occasion "I wonder why we never see Kyle in hardly any sketches?" and I guess I know my answer now. If that is indeed Kyle (and I can't think of anyone else who it might be) he looks way different with short hair and/or wigs.

Yup, that is Kyle Mooney. For some reason, I have a massive crush on him and love his weird sketches. My favorites were the ones that he did dating Leslie Jones.
I thought the Downton Abbey sketch was perfect for those who love the show. Yup, sometimes we need to see something that sets us on the 'back of the chair'.

IDK why this is bugging me. lol
