I agree that he likely DID want Madison at the end, and was too wishy washy weak to not be intimate with the other girls on their fantasy dates.
I hope she sticks to her guns here, and doesn't somehow become okay with it (=producer's intervening).

Everything that went down between Peter and Madison just made me sad. These are two people who clearly care deeply about each other but really don't have similar values and probably should walk away from each other. But Peter's not wise enough to realize it and Madi seems to be losing her resolve. Sigh.
If Madi really is the one that Pete's mom is talking about, this is NOT the stuff love stories are made of. It's more what tragedies are made of in my opinion. They are so not on the same page.
And the producers suck. Making the women room together during that week is pure sadism! Very cruel!

The Fantasy Suite does not equal sex! Many people have spent the night just to be away from the cameras. He doesn't deserve Madi for not having that self control

Totally agree on all points.

I think Madison is very young, in more ways than age. Is he going to ask her to marry him, and wait? Because while I know they have sex with other women in the FS, this is totally different, and I don't see him waiting, so does she compromise her wish to remain a virgin, until marriage. Whoever is advising her, is doing a crap job, making this the high point of the show. It's different from Sean's season, he started right off saying what he wanted. Cruel is the nature of this show, its sad young women tune in, and see this as romantic.

Today, I listened to Nick Viall's recap of this episode, and I found it really interesting to hear Nick's perspective on what Madison said. Ol' horn dog Nick, who is definitely an f-boy, was very supportive of Madison's position and pointed out that even within the context of this show, it's crazy to think that you can sleep with other people and then propose to someone six days later. He said that people put up with it, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't mess with their heads, and it's a major reason that the relationships ultimately don't last. He specifically mentioned how Lauren never got over the fact that Ben slept with Jojo, and Shawn never recovered from Kaitlyn sleeping with Nick. The fact that you're the person's final choice doesn't just wipe out the fact of them sleeping with someone else when they were supposedly falling in love with you. It's especially the case when you feel, like Madison clearly does, that you have a connection with the person that goes beyond what they have with the others. If it's true you had a special connection, and he's later telling you, "It was always you!" then what the was he doing sleeping with the other people. And if he really didn't know and was equally in love with everyone during that week, then what does that say about how strong your connection really is. Having been through the process twice and knowing how it felt to think that connection was there and also knowing how it felt to know that the person he fell for was sleeping with others, Nick chose not to sleep with anyone but Vanessa. He knew that if she knew that he did, there would be no engagement, and that wasn't something he was willing to do to her or to himself, since he was crazy about her. (He said that he told Raven and Rachel that he wasn't going to sleep with anyone--that he didn't need to do that to know they would be sexually compatible. But in truth, he did sleep with Vanessa.) He kind of cut Peter a break by saying that he thinks Peter naively is giving himself over to the process and actually convincing himself that he loves all three of them, which excuses his behavior; but Nick doesn't think that deep down that's true, so Peter's setting himself up for failure by sleeping with the others if Madi is the one he wants. I thought it was an interesting perspective. (P.S. Quoting Nick on that isn't a spoiler. He doesn't know who Peter chooses.)

The same Nick Vile, who asked Andi why she slept with him, on ATFR, who blabbed on the plane, because he was such a sore loser.
