I love that Tom has changed his Twitter file to describe himself as the former co-host of "Footwork with the Famous".
If someone did a dance competition show with that name and hired Tom and Erin as hosts, I'd watch!

Carole Baskin?! Oh, Tom would have had all the jokes for that one. What a shame.

I shudder at some of the names and weep for the loss of Tom/Erin. Can't say I'll be watching this season - first time ever.

I know who most of them are. This is rare. I don't necessarily care about them, but I do know who they are. A few I like a little, but no favorite. I suppose that's a good thing. I can concentrate on their dancing to get favorites.
I'm still very unenthused about this season. Without Tom & Erin I have a feeling it will either be a trainwreck or depressing. I am willing to give the season a try for an episode or 2.

Agree..I will watch because I love the pros and love dancing...but no Tom and Erin certainly will be a problem for me. It has never made a difference if I know or like the celebs---I grade them on the dancing...so I am glad the show is back-----but the changes still annoy me.

I saw Tyra on EXTRA last night talking about the show....and guess what, we will be seeing a lot of Tyra as it is all about her.....sad somebody made the mistake of bringing her in. Would love to know the background of that story.
ETA---She is also an executive producer!!!!

In spoiler tags, just in case you don't want to know:
{Spoiler} Monica Aldama & Val Chmerkovskiy
Carole Baskin & Pasha Pashkov
Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem Chigvintsev
Vernon Davis & Peta Murgatroyd
Anne Heche & Keo Motsepe
Skai Jackson & Alan Bersten
Justina Machado & Sasha Farber
Jeannie Mai & Brandon Armstrong
AJ McLean & Cheryl Burke
Jesse Metcalfe & Sharna Burgess
Nelly & Daniella Karagach
Charles Oakley & ?? (Emma Slater/Britt Stewart)
Nev Schulman & Jenna Johnson
Chrishell Stause & Gleb Savchenko
Johnny Weir & ?? (Emma Slater/Britt Stewart)
Of course, that could all be bunk, as we know!
I also read a blind item about Carole Baskin that said {Spoiler} things are going so badly between her and her partner than they're actually considering a contingency plan if they need to replace her. I can't say I'd be sad if she got replaced. Not a fan.

I heard Derek wasn't a judge, I'm happy he is, he was pretty good the last time he judged, and gave them great advice, rather than put them down.

If there had to be a Covid replacement, I'm happy it's Derek.

I posted the star bios for now -- when they confirm which pros they are paired with, I'll add the pro information to each thread. But it may not be until the day of the premiere. Be on the lookout for more leaks.

I would love to watch Johnny Weir but I refuse to watch without Tom and Erin. I love that more people are commenting on wanting Tom back than the actual stars.

I just want to see what it's like, and of course Derek is a judge, he offsets CA still being there..

I'm not crazy about Derek as a judge. When he's been a guest judge, I've thought that he talked in terms of what he'd do as opposed to judging the dancing done by others.

He was asked to come back and judge, because of his ability to give them critiques, that made them better dancers..each to their own I guess, He didnt come back, he went on WOD, and now he is standing in for Len.

I was thinking that after he left the show, he'd come back as a guest judge. Maybe I was wrong - maybe that was only Julianne. So we'll see, maybe he'll surprise me. But I've always thought he was a little too arrogant for my taste. I understand that he's been asked to come back because of his ability - Carrie Ann and Bruno are judges for the same reason. That doesn't mean everyone wants to hear their critiques.

Now if Tom was still hosting, you know he would somehow manage to have a tape of the audience booing to play when Len went on one of his fits.....but..... no Tom.... no Len. Ah, good times.

Can someone tell me what happened to the costume designer on this show. That thing Cheryl was wearing was embarrassing. It was not flattering and made her look as if she had this overgrown hairy vagina that needed some serious grooming. No hairstylist available because of COVID?
Then there was that thing they had Carole Baskin wear, was someone smoking pot when they designed that?

That, and less competition than usual on other channels, other than football. Usually DWTS is splitting up viewers with The Voice, and new sitcom eps on CBS. EDIT: owe me a beer acookertv

I hope they don't interpret that as affirmation that they made a good decision by getting rid of Tom and Erin. Those numbers mean nothing for the reasons that you and acookertv already explained.
