Season 1 Episode 8 - "Trust Your Gear" - August 19, 2020 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tough_as_NailsGlad to see Savage Crew win the Team Challenge. Why do I think Young is a walking disaster? Because he always seems to be in Overtime. Glad that Murph won but the other 5 members of Savage Crew have all been eliminated from the individual competition.

I love all the support each team shows its members. All done with the team challenges, now it's down to individuals. I like everybody but am rooting for Murph a little more...

Season 1 Episode 9 - "Cut It Up" - August 26, 2020 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tough_as_NailsI was rooting for Savage Crew and was happy that they won the team challenge. Shocked to see Young win over Melissa and not fall apart. Fell bad for Michelle for being pitted against huge monsters. Would have been great if she had one. Sad that they lost the tiebreaker. I kinda thought it was unfair that the burden was all put on Murph. I hope Murph has time to recover. I was kinda hoping that Dirty Hands would have had to send two of their members into Overtime. To be honest this episode was kinda boring and I fast forwarded the episode in places.

The finale is two hours long.

I finally was able to watch the episode. I found something I didn't like about the show - I didn't like that the final challenge for the team was and individual challenge. I wish they truly would have been team challenges.

I was happy with the final 3 .
Really wanted Danny to win though. They really made them work their arms off in these last challenges. Linda really impressed me , was surprised she was only seconds behind Merv after she drove so slow.
I hope they have a second.season.

I was really rooting for Danny too, although I was fine with any of them winning. Actually Myles was my second choice to win. Frankly, I would have been happy for any of the competitors to win, there wasn't anyone I was rooting against. I was kind of hoping Linda would have pulled that last final three spot, just to have a woman in the final. I loved the update on what they're all doing after the filming ended. This show shot right up to the top of my favorite realty shows. I love that it's people who work so hard IRL every day. I love that they win money for team challenge wins, I love they get to still win money even when their individual chances are over. I like the extra the winning team gets to take home. There are only a few minor tweaks I'd make if I had my druthers, but they didn't change my love for the show. I'd have the last team challenge be an actual team challenge, not head-to-head challenges, and I'd have a slightly bigger prize for second place (maybe just another Ford truck). Were they running blurbs for trying out for a second season?

Murph got lucky big time --- Linda was more than seven minutes faster loading and wrapping the pallets. Murph would have finished last had Linda shown any urgency at all moving the pallets. Interesting how none of the Final Four knew the correct way to move a pallet, especially Murph, who had used a forklift before. Anyway, Tough as Nails was worth watching. I'm glad it got renewed. This is the kind of show that I could see myself trying out for. I mean, there's no way I would be competitive on The Titan Games or American Ninja Warrior, etc. BTW, are there any other shows where eliminated contestants continue to participate in team challenges for several episodes afterwards?

etching I don't know of any other shows where the eliminated competitors get to keep competing for the team. Often seen is eliminated people coming back to help finalists, but it's certainly not to be able to keep winning a small amount of money with their teams. At least I've never seen it in any other competition show like this.

So happy to see this back!
Last night was good. Not sure what the nurse is doing there? Yes it is a hard profession but they have to break rocks etc. Even the delivery’s truck guy is going to have a hard time. He had a knee brace on already before it started. But I guess the baggage lady did well last season. They may surprise me.
Still love that no one goes home.

nicksmom I too was happy to see it back. The fact they get to potentially win money all season long is one of my favorite things. I like the added benefit of getting to know all the contestants better since none of them leave.

Wow those eel things gross and slimy.
Feel sorry for Tara going out for something she did probably daily. Wonder if she comes back. She is right i, her everyday lively hood could be in jeopardy if she wrecks her hands.
So many with problems this year. The poor guy that fell down the stairs , he had a sore back to begin with.
Last week I wondered why the nurse was there but she jumped right in that tub not to hurt her back.
Poor delivery guy going into the water. Glad no one was hurt. Surprised they didn’t make everyone stop until it was sorted.

So now they are short 2 people. Feel bad for Tara. They said she was not medically cleared but Mike they just said he was gone. Wonder if it was due to him pushing the guy in the water last week. First I thought it was because he fell down those stairs last week but they didn’t say it was medical.

First I thought it was because he fell down those stairs last week but they didn’t say it was medical. I wondered too if it was because of the water incident. I couldn't remember who had done the pushing, but thought that was probably the reason since they did not at all give a reason. I felt bad for Tara because she wasn't medically cleared. I am happy though for the remaining people that they still get to split the team winnings and their individual amounts are greater. I was not surprised they didn't eliminate anybody else from the individual competition. I thought that's what would likely happen.

I'm so glad this show is back. I like the interesting challenges they make for them out of real-life difficult jobs. I'm not a skier. I certainly never knew, much less have guessed, that they have to remake those lift seats!

Yay, Tough as Nails is back!! I love so much about this show. I love that they get to stay and keep earning money. It's such a great show that Phil and Louise created.
But as per normal I am sad at who clocked out first.
Is this the first year they also win individual money for winning the individual challenge? I don't remember it from before but after my brain injury 4 years ago that doesn't mean anything! Regardless, I like that they do win more money.

I missed tonight's episode, but caught up with the premiere from the other day, watching it OnDemand. I'll try to catch the second episode soon too. There's a man from around here that's on the show, so I was interested in seeing him and how he did. He's one of the older guys! I have to say, when they dramatically pulled out the Canada patches and slapped them on their sleeves, it came across as pretty cheesy. Surprise! Some of us are Canadians! Throughout the whole episode, they really highlighted the Canada theme. It's interesting to hear their stories, and there are a lot of likable people on this season! I liked it! Phil pronounced "algae" with a hard g, which sounded odd to my ears. I've never heard it that way! I felt so bad for the woman who had to punch out. She tried so hard, swam when her boat sank, and really gave it her all. But, it was her fault that her team lost in the sod challenge because she couldn't manage her fork lift at the end, so it was fitting that she was in the Overtime and lost. Her teammate (for the sod and OT) was very kind to her at the end, I thought. Akeela really seems like a tough one! I hope she goes far. There's only been one other woman winner, and I think Akeela could definitely be the next! This show in general, many challenges anyway, really favor the big tough men, so I like to see the women succeed.
