Bottom two couples Carol and Pasha Keo and Anne Derek saves Anne and Keo Bruno saves Anne and Keo Bye Bye Carol..( love you Pasha)

The right person went home, but I have to say that I've enjoyed watching Carol. Although I'm aware of the controversy surrounding her, I didn't watch her show, do I don't have a preconceived idea of who she is.
Even though she's rather melodramatic,it was clear that she was really loving the experience and feeling very glamorous as she danced, and I thought it was kind of sweet! And for someone who clearly had no dance experience, she did improve from week to week, which had to feel good for her.

Enjoying the dancing and great attitudes this season. The costuming has been off this season, though. I thought I might have been being harsh, but that Hercules costume on Keo looked like it came from Party City! Not sure what’s going on in that department. This was a really fun night 🙂

This was a really fun night 🙂 I hate to blame Tyra for everything, but look at her wardrobe. If she's exec producer and didn't want to wear something, she wouldn't have to. I'm going to blame the costumes on her too. She looked like a demented Disney baby doll. It was weird, especially since she's approaching 50.
We've only had a few episodes so far, so maybe the sample size is too small, but it seems like the female pros are more covered up this season. What is DWTS without Sharna in a tiny, sexy costume?

I hadn't thought about it, but you're absolutely right! All of the women are much more covered up than in the past. I was thinking that the costumes just weren't as glitzy or something. But a big part of the glamour in the past was the use of things like rhinestone-covered seemingly see-through fabric and fairly bare body-hugging tops to the dresses. Everything this year looks so matronly! Even the body-hugging outfits like the first couple that Cheryl wore, had a matronly vibe to them.

Everything this year looks so matronly! Even the body-hugging outfits like the first couple that Cheryl wore, had a matronly vibe to them. Think of the amazing bodies those pros have. It's criminal to cover them up! I remember how it just looked weird when they'd put Edyta in a long, very conservative gown. Not only does it look odd, but it obscures the steps. In one dance tonight, and I can't remember which dancer it was, they were doing a spin and you literally couldn't see her free leg at all (and I think it was extended) because the skirt of the costume was so long. In my ballet classes, we always had to wear clothing that showed our bodies so that our lines were visible for the teacher. Should be the same for this show so the judges can see what's going on.
This is the first season when the costumes have been like this, so I have to blame the one MAJOR change: Tyra. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if she doesn't want to be compared to those muscular little dancers when she does look to have gained a good bit of weight. No hate there, but it's true and we know she's an egomaniac.
I've been really pleasantly surprised by Nev and Kaitlyn, especially. Although some are scored lower than others, there really aren't any really terrible dancers left. Sort of feels like anything could happen!
ETA: I absolutely LOVE Sharna's new hair color. That RED made her look so harsh. The pinkish hue makes her look softer and younger and so pretty.

I hadn't really noticed, but I'm sure during covid, the costume department is not the same. Many complaints about how skimpy the costumes got , for a family show, heck I saw some on here. I thought Chrishell and Kaitlyn looked beautiful, but matronly..

I guess nobody reads my posts because I have mentioned the change in costume direction at least twice and I am very happy with the changes. I said they appeared to be going for pretty ( matronly??) rather thn sexy and have for the most part been successful.
I was amazed that Tyra did not change her costume. I thought for sure she would come out a Disney Prinecess at some point. Minnie was overdone---as all her costumes have been. The down-to-the hips wig was ugly and so not anything that has ever been associated with Minnie. She should have had a short dark wig rather than the mop she wore. Again who styles her? The questions have been more on point and she seemed a little bit less over-the-top, but I still don't want her there.
Dancing is what it is all about and it has been great----they handed a lot of 8s out for just the third week of dancing.

I fast forwarded through most of Tyra, but one little part that I did catch was when Vernon, who was so excited about his scores, grabbed Peta and took off running before Tyra had a chance to ask her awkward question. I thought it was hilarious, and I wish more of the contestants would do the same
