Kelly - there are only 10 people on each team this year, so you have to be picky.
Julia Cooper, 21, Poland, OH - her singing goal is to make people cry - "Alaska" - smooth jazz type of song - John is grooving - 3 chairs - she chooses John - it was a bitter fight between Kelly and John
Apropos , 31, Detroit, MI - feels he is apropos to all types of music - "I heard it through the grapevine" - soul and energy - (for me: voice a bit scratchy) NO chairs - unclear as to range - loved tone - invited back
John Sullivan, 32, Denver, NC - 6'7" tall - loved baseball - played professional (farm leagues) - music helped him come down from baseball - has young son - "Operator" - smooth tone - 2 chairs (Gwen/Blake) - chooses Blake
Skylar Alvia Mayton, 15, Grand Rapids, MI - "Blinding Lights" - 1 chair - Kelly, who loves her age
Lain Roy, 22, Rushford, CO - "Someone You Love" - 2 chairs - John Legend is one of his heroes - he and John both went to Berkley College - he chooses Gwen (Blake sell about her experience?)
Jared Ming, 32 Honolulu, HI - (originally from Denver) country singer - "Drunk Me" - NO chairs - pitchiness
Worth the Wait, Centre, AL - a family trio of Mother and two young daughters - (Kelly, "that sounds like a lot of feet") - "When Will I Be Loved?" - 4 chairs - Gwen brings in Trace Atkins as her supporter - they choose Blake as they want the country lane TEAM BLAKE IS FULL
Emmalee, 20, Clarksville, TN - one of her songs was featured in Young and the Restless - "How Will I Know" Whitney Huston - 2 chairs - chooses Kelly TEAM KELLY IS FULL
Bailey Rae, 18, Roberta, OK - farm girl who clogs - "Does My Ring Burn Your Finger?" - 1 chair - John - Blake makes a pitch for the Battle Round - John tells her she is the first country artist he has coached
Neci, 32, Nashville, TN - a hospital nurse with three young children, working on her masters - "God Bless The Child" - wonderful soulful voice - No chairs - John heard pitch problems - Gwen impressed with her vibrato
Tori Miller, 26, Shiloam Springs, AR - "When You Say Nothing At All" - 1 chair - Gwen - she tells Gwen she is her queen TEAM GWEN IS FULL
James Pyle, 30 West Hills, CA - family man - drummer in band - "Watermelon Sugar" - 1 chair - John - TEAM JOHN IS FULL
